Would Lore of Metal make guns more dangerous? No. It already shoots metal. That is how the gun works. But Lore of Dawi magic. That would improve guns. That is how the Dawi work.
Lore of metal would strengthen the metal of the guns so the can safly fire bigger loads, harden bullets to diamonds for massive penetrative round and if you want fancy cause the bullets to ho molten on impact

While he the master of the lore of metal and who is known for inventing new and interesting ways to kill with technology such as better gunpowder. I really wish they gave Balthasar a weapon upgrading shop instead of the Wizards. Of course he is the Supreme Patriarch and therefore it makes sense that he got the Wizard focus but come on. He's Balthasar Gelt. His whole deal is letting it rain lead on his enemies.
For those of you who might say "yeah well, lore of metal just adds more metal to guns" it doesn't just so that. He makes the guns and ammo in the first place, and he also finds new ways to create new kinds of guns. Guns already kill on their own, he just makes them more efficient by improving them then just add death magic to them.
Gelt should have been the artillery lord he literally invents new gunpowder formulas in lore. Ah well at least his skill line can buff ranged units and rockets.
