I learned so much with them she was 70yrs old and he 75yrs old and we share lots of hiking values and stories and many miles during one week long😉 I've been following You for same years and I would like to see you as a winner of my favourite race TOR2024🙏 val D'Aosta ❤All the best from Sintra Lisboa 😉 Subscribed👌Also an amateur ultrarunner 50yrs since last decade with lots of adventures in Astúrias Picos Europa 1997 also Pyrenees National Parc Aigüestortes Catalonia 2006 Carros de Foc Route in November where Javi Dominguez Ledo trained for his win TOR 2017 67h and Portuguese Carlos Sá finished 4th place! wow, that's incredible. that couple sounds like a great inspiration. thank you for following along! it's been a great journey so far, we'll see how TdG24 goes! Sounds like you have lots of adevntures pretty close by, but you should try the Tor, or one of the many other races in VDA. I remember Javi having one of the best races of all time at that years Tor. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it!
Really like how you put this video together. Really fun and a new way of doing it, bravo! One thing that annoyed me, the interviewer said at the end it's such a fast course....is she crazy?
Thanks, man! And thanks for watching. Hahaha that's really funny you noticed that. I was half losing my mind at the time, but looking back I think she meant relative to other years
@@GalenRun I can understand you losing your mind haha. I will let her off, but I am hearing it more and more in ultra circles that everything is a 'fast course'.
Hey Galen, I came across your profile after finishing the Ouray 100 this year. Are you still planning on recording a series on how you trained for this event. I'm planning on registering for 25 and hoping I get into the lottery. Would love to see how you trained for this epic run!
Hey John, thanks so much for watching. Wow, the Ouray 100 looks great, I don't know how you deal with that consistent altitude!? I've got a new vid coming right up on how I train for the Tor. Fresh off the press. ua-cam.com/video/2-ToRYNsSMg/v-deo.html
@GalenRun Heck yes!!! And you absolutely need to do Ouray-it's challenging, but stunningly beautiful. Do you know the average altitutude of TOR330? Looking at the Ouray site, Ouray is 10,239 feet. Silly question, but any insight on bettering my chances of getting into TOR330 come 2025? I believe if I'm not mistaken it's via a lottery. And are you planning on running in 2025? p.s. You're a absolute MONSTER for running TOR330 in 72 hours.
I've always wanted to do Hardrock, but given it's impossible to get in I could look at Ouray. The average evevation of the Tor - not sure. It has a really large range from 300m (~1,000ft) to 3,300m (~11,000ft). I I think the best way to get in is through one of their races where you kind of get PAX points, it's like what UTMB is trying to do. I'm not sure what I'll be up to in '25 yet. All depends on how this year goes. Haha, cheers! I was happy with that time given the heat of the first two days as well!
@@GalenRun I'm fairly new to the trail running scene, so I don't have much to compare Ouray to. However, they do call it the Switzerland of America. Oh by the way, Ouray registration opens up in December, I believe.
Thanks for checking, I don't have any on my channel but the ones I follow are from my coach @DavidRocheSWAP. These are the two routines I use. ua-cam.com/video/4LV905EEKAM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/rYsWzRu_0Yc/v-deo.html
This year I might put some more suffering into my Tor to make it to my new time objective!
Great video, inspiring!
Thanks for checking it out. There's huge gains out there in the 200 milers!
Insane shift!
Thanks for watching! It was insane!
Awesome breakdown!
Cheers! Thanks for watching
Fantastic edit and video! Definitely do more of these.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! That's my main man, Alex, the editor with the skills, though.
Impressive, engaging, and honest retelling of the TOR...well done!
Thank you very much! And thanks for watching
