[WIP] Ashé - Aaron Parks

This piece (a "prayer of sorts" as he puts it) was originally contributed by Aaron Parks to Terrence Blanchard's album "A Requiem for Katrina", and then played in a piano solo arrangement by Aaron Parks a few years ago in the "Timbuktu Session" he recorded in Portugal.

Saying that it changed my life wouldn't be an overstatement. It tells a story of hope, resilience and solace, the one of a city and its people healing from a tragic event and finding peace. While not living in New Orleans and not being particularly a godly man, I first heard this wonderful composition at a time when I was myself in the slow process of grieving and healing from my own personal "Katrina", and it touched my soul in a way that I didn't know was even possible, at the time I needed it the most.
That's the kind of message I'd like to share with the world, at a time it seems to need this more than ever.
There will be light.

Merci !! 😊 C'est un morceau qui m'a profondément touché quand je l'ai entendu pour la première fois. C'était à un moment où j'avais grand besoin d'espoir, de résilience et de ce genre de chaleur. Il m'apprend à respecter les idées les plus simples au lieu de chercher à faire toujours plus compliqué.
