    Really really good video , Keep making videos like this.
    I notice in the video after you have assembled your coupling that you then have to assemble it all on your Scooter? and then I see that you use the Malossi Torsion controller, you should know that it gives you a lower top speed as long as it is on the type of pulley you use, because it raises your pressure spring a bit, and this seriously affects that your pulley does not open all the way up so that your V-belt can get far enough down into the pulley, and then it can't get any further up on your vario.?? The best thing you can do is to use the Polini torsion controller for your setup, it is made of iron and it only raises your compression spring about 2mm - 3mm in height, where your yellow Malossi torsion controller raises your compression spring up to about 7mm in total.? ? I used the Torsion controller myself once until I discovered that it gave quite a bit less top speed plus it also made my cleaning disc difficult to open up and it made the scooter feel like it was sliding all the time in the pull-up. just for fun, try fitting your compression spring without the Malossi torsion controller, you will notice a change in the pull-up and the top speed... Nothing happens if you try a trip without it just once.??
    "the text below something I have read on the internet myself, but it makes sense"
    Malossi torsion controller is made for the purpose of helping those who trouble with dead points in the pulley, you know the original pulleys have this last point where they open very aggressively, and if you use the malossi torsion controller, it does not allow the pulley to open all the way up, and then of course you avoid the point of death. but unfortunately loses too
    5kmh - 15kmh approx depending on what scooter it is put on...

      Thank you for your input on this. It's great to hear others opinions on products. Much appreciated. I think we should do a test with and without the torsion controller.

    i pulled the black springs in mine. what i found best when installing higher rpm clutch springs, screw the clutch base plate down to the bench. works a charm. 🤘🏻

      That’s a great idea. We’ve used a bench vice before but you have to be careful of damaging it

      Thank you!! Scooters are super unique and fun. We want to break down more components in the future!. Let us know what else you'd like us to explain!

    Whats the friction material like compared to the stock clutch? I have a go faster clutch from Naraku and the friction material gets glazed over quick with just a little slippage

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 місяців тому

      Almost all clutch pads get glazed over time. Best thing to do every drive service is to scuff the bell and pads with some sand paper. The Malossi clutch is different from stock. It has a much thicker clutch pad and made with their own material, but I can only imagine the material is very similar.

    3:45 I still don't get what's going on in diagram C (green) with the weight position 1. Where's the weight? Does that mean you remove the weight from the shoe entirely?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, you remove the weight completely. And then with the weight there are only two options based on the screw holes. A total of 3 "weight options"

      Thank you. So I've set mine up like yours with the weight slid all the way out and the preload spring anchor all the way out as well. Feels pretty good but I think I could stand it little more punchy. I've only got the white springs that came with the kit so I've ordered a set from Malossi of White, Yellow and Red.

    At 7:43 what is that green piece you put on the spring called?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  3 місяці тому

      That is called a 'torsion spring controller' from Malossi. It eliminates any stiction from when the spring gets compressed and decompressed, allowing the spring to rotate freely. It smooths out the opening and closing of the rear pulley.

    I've put the same in my bws but it overheats🥲

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders  2 місяці тому

      Do you mean the clutch overheats? If yes, it could be because your setting of the clutch is too 'hard' so the clutch is slipping because it can't engage fully. What setting are you on?
