    Just imagine, once upon a time, this house was fill of laughter and dancing, the chatting of children, mother doing cooking, washing dishes. How much love was there, within these wall, some of the children were conceived here on this bed.
    And now.... all gone, as if the soul has left the body, the things which are lying around, once these were kept with great care and love, someone must have been scolded if anything of this was touch or broken, now there's no one to shout at you no matter what to do to them.
    Friends, live your life to full, don't be too attached to this material stuff, all will be left behind, if you have some extra with you, then give it away to needy, let give up anger and ego for one day we all has to leave.
    Love to you all, stay blessed.

    in my youth i was once tasked with helping to clean out a very cluttered apartment after the tenant died. there were a lot of old newspapers there. at one point after most of those newspapers had gone to the dump i opened one of the remaining ones only to see a $5 and $10 dollar bill fall to the floor. this was in the 80's when $15 meant something. made me wonder what else was in those huge trash bags full of newspapers that were already gone.

      Lesson Learned : Always look through clothes, purses, and books/newspapers before tossing. People hide money & photos in other stuff.
      In my mom’s purse/bag I found $120 stashed in a small pocket. That was her emergency cash in case of a surprise bill. Also found photos in her books
      .

      Keeping a 1912 newspaper isn't hoarding it's called collecting. This haouse has lots of broken items, empty containers and trash. Some people like myself have lots of things that have value. My house is pretty full but it's mostly books.

    A huge mansion that must have been a beauty in its prime. I especially loved the skylight and the yellow bathroom! So many rooms in this place. Hoarding is a symptom of much deeper emotional suffering, fear or loss. I hope the house have found new life. Greetings from Pennsylvania!

As someone who suffers with depression I can understand how this can happen as I struggle to let go of things myself and have to constantly fight against the insecurity. The house has now been completely cleared by the Cluttered house clearance company and has been put on the market . Apparently the house is owned by an Australian guy who's mother lived there but sadly passed away. I am so pleased that this beautiful house has a chance to survive for many years to come unlike so many abandoned places that have become so derelict that they are beyond saving.

    We came to Scotland because it was remote and we could live undisturbed, in peace, without worrying about hordes of strangers wandering around our community, poking their noses into folks sheds, farms, homes and lives. Not anymore, within 5 years of coming here and the rise of Facebook and social media this kind of thing has exploded, we are seeing folk we don`t know, we don`t know what they are up to, break ins, vandalism, beauty spots trashed, violence, abuse, and crime is on the rapid rise in remote areas where crime was almost non existent less than a decade ago, where I am tourists are now despised by a significant part of the population where 10 years ago they were welcomed and helped as gentle visitors, not any more. This kind of thing just encourages it more and more, is nowhere sacred ? can no one or nothing be left in peace ?, I don`t understand why folk cannot respect the isolation and lifestyle some people choose, or at least behave appropriately when they come here, not sxxt at the roadside, chop down trees for campfires, block roads, swear at locals, or put folks homes on UA-cam, etc etc . It seems to me everything has now become "entertainment" and a generation of people assume they have the right to invade other peoples lives unasked or uninvited, at will, with no thought or little understanding for how their actions will affect people and the consequences of what they are doing, just as long as they get their "audience" . Like wild swimming, wild camping and other such pursuits, once something on UA-cam or Facebook becomes "cool" the mindless hordes and morons move in to copy it, never mind less well intentioned people on the look out for things to steal and sell. To give you a clue a well known local beauty spot where we live had 51,000 visitors in 2015 last year it was over 500,000, all becuase it was publicised via UA-cam, Instagram and Facebook. I think it time w started showing up in cities, poking our noses into folks gardens, looking into their living room windows, filling their parking slots, emptying their shops etc etc, and generally making their life hell, becuase right now that's what living here is becoming like. I never thought I would welcome a pandemic but this summer has been fabulous. Very few tourists and almost no camper vans at all, back to 2012 levels, calm, sustainable and enjoyable. God help us next year with Brexit, when the Ibiza brigade arrive here becuase they can`t go abroad easily.

    Intriguing tour! You can see what a wonderful home the structure had once been. Beautiful furniture and interesting, weird rooms. One had a wash basin and a shower stall converted to a clothes closet. I would have loved looking in the file cabinets and trying the keys in the front hall on all the locked doors. Some wild color schemes going on in there -- the only black and orange bathroom I have ever seen. Great cubby holes and crawl spaces. Loved the roof access bit at the end. Those images will haunt me.

      Mich Mon wrong some people want to live like this.. we helped my nan and had her house fully emptied when she was 85 (hoarder) she hated us so much for it, never stoped goin on about it until she was 90 and sadly passed. She loved to have “things” around her. Didn’t want cleaning doing, didn’t want decorating doing, didn’t want a new roof that she desperately needed. Some people are set in there ways no matter how much you try and change them.. even when she was 30 odd she was a hoarder. Miss her lots, she was definitely original, never lost one marble and had her wits about her.

      this big of a house, doesn't have an open welcoming living room when you walk in the front door and in that big space you look up a wide wwlcoming stairway. it looks huge outside but inside design how the doors are too many and very close to each other! too tight hallways!

    When you exposed the first shots of the house and old vehicles 🚗 wow ! Was like a film set. Unbelievable we thanks to you can experience these abandonment of property. That big car with the roof box looked like it was ready to go off in a journey. It’s bitter sweet seeing, makes me wonder why such properties are left. Could be Tragedy or just plain old divorce. Thanks 🙏for getting out and stirring my imagination.

  • @keithpringle3940
    @keithpringle3940 2 роки тому +1

    It's either Georgian or Victorian. Most likely owned by a colonel or above back in the day. The place would've been full of servants to keep the house and serve the family. The children would've been at boarding school only returning in the holidays. This would've been a second home as the colonel would most probably keep a flat in London also. The colonel probably died in Africa or India or one of the other colonies possibly even in the Crimea. The building would've been passed down and passed down over successive generations with the inheritors eventually becoming skint as successive inheritance taxes wiped out their trust funds, eventually leading to the last occupier being there. This person was obviously a lady hence the shitey citroen! Her children probably emigrated leaving her there alone. The central heating was obviously knackered hence all the oil filled radiators and halogen heaters, to replace and modernise the heating system wouldnt give you much change out of 200grand and I doubt she had anywhere near that left in her bank. The hoarding was probably a symptom of her loneliness and remembering the old days, perhaps it was her great grandparents house at one point. The 2 cars outside are a MK4 astra and an e class Merc, both mid 90s motors, which again suggests to me that she was on the bones of her arse! Halogen heaters weren't really a thing until early 2000s which suggests to me that that's when she died. Again the inheritance tax would be crippling to whomever was unlucky enough to be bequeathed it because although it's a shithole would still have a huge market value, suggesting that the bequeathed decided it wasn't for them and didn't want to know. The newspaper was a Newcastle herald and post and there was a fair amount of Jehovah's witnesses literature knocking about also, again suggesting that the last occupant was a lonely old lady who was well into her 90s when she died!!!!! Fkn nailed it!!!

    Brilliant explore Alec. I don't normally read comments because they look just like inside of the house! True, I agree with those who said it was sadness for the owner and dogs, but those who were greedy about the Mercedes and making bad jokes? Disrespectful! None of them know the truth. As for the house, wow so many doors, rooms and small spaces! I was waiting for you to find that little door with no stairs in the blue painted closet on the third level! I would love that house, its 5 times larger than my flat here in the USA! Cheers mate!
