what's a sadist's highest good?
The highest good is fundamentally a competence hierarchy that consciously distinguishes and restores integrity to the lowest human impulses.
All things authentically and fundamentally good for human beings share the ability to restore integrity to the lowest human impulses.
When Jordan says God/good he means the conflations of a trapped boy held hostage by his father's lowest human impulses.

How so?
Let me fill you in so you understand better. Many people get wrong the question, “Do you believe in God?” and first and foremost, the question itself isn't even formulated correctly. No, I don’t hold a belief in God, and precisely because I am convinced God exists. Belief already gives the atheistic ideal reason. The fundamental issue is, what do you mean by God? Summon Bonam, a medieval idea, could explain what God is.
Summon Bonam means the sum of all that is objectively good or the essence of all that is objectively good. Even though we have to define “objective” carefully, the word good implies that, across good things, there is some essence. If you do not convince yourself that there is good, essentially lacking substance, and subjectively something better is always good too. What do you do when subjective or fractional good offends you?
If a conflict with b, you better choose c. That is the higher good, and if you do not pick on c, you’re paralyzed. The highest good possible is God, by definition. Why can’t you have a standard as such? You already have a relationship with the highest good by acting regarding it!
