    I LOVED this video! We're going to Disney World at Christmas, and I am so excited! I would love for you to make another video talking about your favorite rides and favorite restaurants. My favorite part of Disney is the food, so I love to hear other people's favorite recommendations!

      The last time we went was at Christmastime as well, and it was GORGEOUS! Hopefully for your next trip after your upcoming one you can get down there at Christmas! You have some good ones for this next visit- Cinderella's Royal Table is delicious and really cool. 50's Prime Time is fun if you get the right server- portions are kind of small though, so be prepared for that. Coral Reef is absolutely gorgeous. The last time I ate there I was 10 though and picky, so our server made an except and brought me a kids meal, so I can't speak for the food haha! 2 of my favorites are Columbia Harbour House at MK and Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles at Epcot. Columbia Harbour House has AMAZING sea food. It's quick service and pretty cheap with huge portions. The upstairs dining area is really quiet and has good views overlooking Fantasyland, making it fun to people watch. Boulangerie is quick service as well and has all sorts of French pastries, deserts, and sandwiches. Everything is spectacular and is SUPER cheap for Disney. Deserts are about $2-4 per choice and sandwiches are about $4-8 per sandwich. We're eating at Be Our Guest on our visit, and I can't wait because B&TB is my fave Classic Disney movie. After your trip, I would LOVE it if you made a video reviewing your trip and the food you ate! Sorry this post is so long, but Disney is my happy place, and I love talking with people about it☺️

    Great video! I'm going in July this year and this'll be the fourth time running, instead of doing the dining plan we stay offsite and made sandwiches to take to the park everyday. Also, instead of using cool packs we freeze caprisuns so that the person carrying the lunch usually has a much lighter bag once we've eaten, hope this helped someone

    If you're getting the dining plan, then the refillable mug comes with it. Before you leave for a park for the day, fill your mug up with your preferred beverage and put it in your room fridge. That way you'll have a nice cold drink waiting for you when you get back.

    • @themissalliecakes
      @themissalliecakes  9 років тому

      UprTupr yessss. that was a life saver for us this past trip :) thank you so much for commenting this! very useful, especially when you get back to the room late and its super hot out. a nice cold refrigerated beverage is just the perfect touch.

      +themissalliecakes Here's another tip: Buy some candy or energy bars in bulk beforehand, preferably something that doesn't melt, and bring them with you along with a couple of packs of Pop-Tarts. While the meal plan covers a snack, if you're walking around a park all day you'll burn that off real fast. I like to bring a couple of PayDay bars with me each day. If you belong to a wholesale club that's a good place to get them. UPDATE (10/1/2015). If you bring Pop-Tarts put them in a solid container. Mine ended up pulverized on my most recent trip.

    • @Foxfire_Pony
      @Foxfire_Pony 9 років тому

      +themissalliecakes Here's an update. Be sure to check the fridge setting first. During my latest trip I got back to my room in the evening and found my pomegranate lemonaide a frozen mass as the last guest had the temperature setting at the max.

      What rides do u recommend I am not very good with big rides but ones that are still fun would be great also a short waiting time thx

  • @Ayane17
    @Ayane17 9 років тому

    The best times to go are December and January because the lines are very very short and it is not as hot/humid as it is during the summer. Hotels are also cheaper because it's off season.
    If any of you do want to go during the summer please make sure you do stay hydrated like she said!!!
    Summers in Florida are not only hot but very humid and some of the lines are wait right in the sun and take forever to move.
    Also i suggest not taking much in with you into the park as it is a lot of walking and also bag-check lines are very long. If you do carry a bag or other items in with you make sure you secure them on all the rides.
    There are usually spaces for items on the ride, ask the attendants!
    Also have fun! :D

    • @themissalliecakes
      @themissalliecakes  9 років тому

      Ayane17 ohhh wooowwwww, that you for commenting these awesome suggestions and tips

  • @ashleyrothberg8450
    @ashleyrothberg8450 9 років тому

    A great way to make lines feel shorter is to spend that time looking for hidden mickeys. This is a great game to play among people in your party or little kids. Hidden mickeys are everywhere!
    Also, if you are a sports enthusiast or like to volunteer a lot of run Disney events give discounted prices to people participating or you can even earn a free ticket by volunteering for select events. If you do some of their "runs" you also get access to chapters not readily a viable otherwise and with shorter lines
    If you want the most bang for your buck, find special events when the park in open 24 hours. Leap day is great. You get to the park for opening, buy the cool gear then leave to go nap, come back and stay at the park until 6 am the next day!

    • @themissalliecakes
      @themissalliecakes  9 років тому +1

      Ashley Deniz awwww I love that suggestion!! you're absolutely right. the "hidden mickey game" is so much fun & a great way to pass the time. thank you so much for listing this in the comments. it one of my life goals to do a marathon in disney. I definitely need to condition and train before I dive into that one hehe. have you ever done a run there? sounds like such a magical experience! omgggggggg I would be in my happiest place ever if I could go for 24 hours. girllllll, these are some awesome suggestions! thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate your dedication to disney hehe

    Hi! Love your videos! I was just wondering if you think the photo pass / memory maker was worth the money? I am going at the end of the month and we were just if it is worth the money? We have been a bunch of times before but never have boughten any pictures. Thank you!

    • @leiahand1982
      @leiahand1982 8 років тому

      Personally, i think the memory maker is worth the money- not so much the photo pass- You get all your photos taken( even the ones of you on a ride) on your computer.

    • @leiahand1982
      @leiahand1982 8 років тому +2

      April can be rainy- so make sure to bring/or buy yourself a disney poncho. It rains about everyday, but especially in April- Also, Dress cool for the hot weather. Tank tops, shorts, skirts, and wearing your hair up are really good things to consider. Also, I recommend taking a day off from the parks and going to the Wilderness Lodge Resort- they have a fun Hidden Mickey Hunt in the hotel- i recommend trying it out! Hope you have a magical trip! Reply to me for any other questions-;)

    Hi Allie! I love your channel and all things Disney! I was wondering what your suggestion would be for a great place to eat for lunch in Disney Springs (not too pricey...)?? More casual I suppose, but delicious and memorable! Thanks in advance! :)

    • @leiahand1982
      @leiahand1982 8 років тому

      I personally don't really like the disney springs dining- i suggest The Wilderness Lodge cafe and Downtown Disneys Earl Of Sandwich! They seriously have the BEST sandwiches in the world!

      +themissalliecakes Major update to this. Apparently the Disney cast member that told me this was incorrect. There actually isn't a Disney postmark. But if you go to City Hall in Magic Kingdom they will put a special Disney rubber stamp on your mail. Just found that out on Monday when I was there.

    I have done two royal family 5ks (on Disney princess weekends) and last year I did the tower of terror 10 miles- with that one you get access to Hollywood studios until 3:30 am so I totally road tower or terror at 3 wearing my medal it was a blast! I am planning to do the glass slipper challenge in 2016 (party of Disney princess half marathon weekend) you should totally train and come with. I am planning a whole big thing. Jeff Galloway publishes training plans for all running levels on the run Disney site and that's how I got started. The runs are just amazing and so well put together. I'm also doing the avengers half in Disneyland in November. I can't wait (ps I couldn't figure out how to reply to the earlier comment so it's just another comment)

      Ashley Deniz you are officially one of my idols. hehe. so awesome that you have done the run disney events more than once. so stinking cool! it is one of my goals to run a princess race in disney world. definitely something I will keep on the back burner and consider. that would be an amazinggggg first marathon for me. how do I find the jeff galloway training plan?? I would love to check it out. thank you so much for the awesome information! you rock!

      themissalliecakes YaY I found the reply button on my computer er(not my tablet for once). The best part about Run Disney is that their time limit for these races in a 16 minute mile (you can walk that). The thing you do want to do it be faster than that because you will want to get in line for pictures with the characters on the race (Tower of terror 10 miler had the grave diggers out, I have never ever seen them anywhere else for photo ops). Galloway publishes training plans for each of the races with specific days in prep for the race but you can always tweak it to whatever you want. Here's the link to all his training plans: www.rundisney.com/training/running/ It's such a great experience, everyone should do them!

    Hi allie, my family and I will be heading to Walt Disney World for the first time in October/early November. I was lucky enough to get a breakfast reservation at 8.15 on the 1st November to be our guest but then also a lunch reservation on the 3rd November at 2.25. But then I was also able to get a lunch reservation on the 1st November at 2.25 at crystal palace. Since its our first time, the lunch times kinda clash with the festival fantasy parade and we all obviously really want to watch it. Would you recommend doing be our guest lunch or crystal palace? Thank you, Izzy :)

      dadsnumberoneforever you're very welcome. thank you so much for watching! hehe yesss the lotto would be very helpful. it can tend to be a very expensive vacation, but totally worth the money. my thoughts on all four parks... if you haven't been to disney before and you're going for an extended period of time I definitely suggest all four park. each one is magical in its own way. If you are going for an extended stay I personally think you can do animal kingdom in one day, hollywood studios in one day, two days for epcot and 2+ days for magic kingdom. my all time favorite park is magic kingdom... there is so much to do there and just pure magic everywhere

    Im just curious but do you wear makeup when you are in fla? I live not too far from Disney and we find it impossible to wear makeup most of the year due to the heat/humidity. I was wondering if you felt the same or know of any super foundation that makes it thru the fla weather??

    • @themissalliecakes
      @themissalliecakes  9 років тому

      heyyyy, awesome question. usually when I'm in the parks it's during my April vacation or summer vacation and the weather, like you said, is very humid and hot.... so I usually don't wear any foundation. I usually only wear eye shadow and mascara and eyeliner and the occasional lipstick. However if I'm having really bad breakouts I try to use a little bit of coverup :)

    If you want to trade pins, instead of buying pins in the park which can cost up to $15 a pin you could go on eBay or Amazon and order them they are normally like $35 for 80 pins which is like 43 cents per pin

      +Juan Rivera definitely 110% Magic Kingdom. That is the most child friendly park to go to. I would even suggest spending two days there. It is such a large park that I can never do the whole thing in just one day. If you wanted more variety though I would suggest Hollywood Studios as well. They have a lot of fun features for kids... and adults too :) have an amazing trip!

    do the disney bus sistem start early enough for you to be at the parks gate 20 minutes before opening?

    • @leiahand1982
      @leiahand1982 8 років тому

      Yes! The buses come about 30 minutes before the parks open- When you get to the entrance, you will have to wait until the park officially opens. But, if your there early, you can see the train arrive with all the Disney characters to greet you. You can also wake up Tinkerbell at the castle in the lantern. If you have dining reservations for The Beasts Castle for breakfast they will let you in before opening!

      Great Question- The Memory Maker is a system designed to where you get your photos from rides, taken by photographers, ect. These photos will be saved to you and you can only get them on your phone or computer. The Photo Pass is a system where you get the desired photos printed off for you in about 6 by 4 photos. They get mailed to your address or you can pick them up.

    I just have a question. For the dinning plan I made reservation for the be our guest on the Disney app.. Bt it didn't ask me to pay in advance just took my debit card info. Do I need to pay before I get to Disney world?? I feel nervous D:

    • @themissalliecakes
      @themissalliecakes  9 років тому

      Melissa Cavazos you do not have to pay ahead for be our guest. they take your credit card information just incase you do not show... I believe they charge you a fee if you do not cancel your reservations 24 hours in advance... but no you do not need to prepay for any of the restaurants (except for cinderellas royal table... I think that might be the one restaurant you need to pay in advance). I got charged a dollar on my credit card per restaurant I booked when looking at my statement, but it was just pending and never posted to my account. I think its their way of assuring your "good for your reservation".
      buttttttttt. if you are doing the dining plan, you have to pay off your dining plan expense before you go on your trip. so if you are using the disneyworldgo. website your whole trip must be paid off and that includes the dining plan. if you are using be our guest as one of your restuants on your dining plan then it will already be paid off and all you have to do is leave a tip.

      Male Cabrera Sancho it really depends on what you plan on buying. I spent about 100 a day there but that was with food and buying souvenirs. I went a little overboard with buying things hehe.

  • @plove53
    @plove53 8 років тому

    Good Tips BUT... IMHO (3:08) Disney Dining Plan is a waste of good money; unless you go to places that get the; most for your money. A family of four could be (with kids under 10) would cost over $170 A DAY (or over over $250 if kids are over 10). If you pick wisely... then OK, but lets face it you l=kids would be finicky so they would not eat a full meal. Now ask yourself do we need a desert all to myself, or can I share a desert with someone? Can you share a meal? YES, you can (except at buffets), and so on. My last 10 trip for two, cost us ~$800 for both of us (over $450 in savings), AND it included going to Cali-Grill (sushi), and Brown Durby ( love the cobb salad) , and a character Breakfast (animal kingdom).

    i have to completely disagree with you about ponchos.
    first they are $8.50+tax for the adult size not $10-$15.
    they are very good quality that can last for YEARS (my current one has lasts for 8 trips.
    plus if it rips during the trip you bought it you just take your receipt to any gift shop and they will replace it free of charge.
    dollar store ponchos are cheap and tend to be a one and done situation. what if it downpours 3 times in a day plus you want to use it for splash mountain? you'd end up spending $4 just for one day just for one person.
