Mathew, great tips and totally practical however it would behoove your audience if you mention another safety tip when replacing a prop. That is; take a firm hold with your thumb and index finger around the propeller hub while at the same time, supporting it from underneath with your middle finger. This alleviates all unnecessary force and stress that might otherwise be on the propeller arm itself and then not to over-tighten the screw (just snug it).
      From a fellow captain of a Mini 3Pro. 👍

You are so right about the screwdriver. I damaged a propellor recently and if I was there until next Christmas the screwdriver supplied with the DJI Mini 3 would not loosen the propellor.
As a novice can I say thank you for eliminating the amount of silly mistakes I had been making with your excellent mistakes.

Thank you Matthew, excellent video, as always. There is one item that I find ESSENTIAL here in Canada, or anywhere else you may be flying in cold temperatures. Best of all, you can easily find one free of charge, or at worst, very cheap: I always carry a pen with a TOUCH SCREEN STYLUS TIP. These are widely available as business promotion swag; most people with tablets or smart phones probably have one lying around in a drawer. But when it comes to flying a drone in cold temperature, there is nothing better to work your touch screen with precision, even when wearing thick gloves. I have several gloves with touch-screen fingertips, but they are all awkward, imprecise and often need several attempts to connect with the screen. The little stylus works perfectly every time. I never leave home without it in my drone bag. Of all the accessories you mentioned, all of which are excellent, my touch-screen stylus would be very near the top of the list because in cold weather, it gets very difficult to operate my drone safely without it. Best regards from the Great White North!

Thanks for the video, Matthew. What is the lifetime of a propeller? I mean, if you don't see noticible defects, should you still swap them out after certain time or certain number of flight hours? I have most of the same in my backpack, I just really liked your idea for the organizer bag, so I'l look at that. By the way, for the SD cards, I use an SD Card oragnizer, that is the size of a credit card, because they are so easy to lose. One mroe item I have in my drone bag at all times is a bag of moisture absorbers. I need to keep the drone and camera always dry and free of mould or moisture.

Being a newbie..... All tips are digested.
Getting all gear with You.... It's like getting the keys and the wallet with You. Always keep them together. Before leaving home check the keys are there, and You know the wallet is.
Always keeping the drone gear in the same transport case, all is there...
Such tiny screwdrivers are of the kind "being straight only once"..... Don't bend it!
Screen recordings in the controller? The seller today said all recording down to the SD card is done in the drone?
Interesting. Hope some knowing gut comments on this.
Treat every camera lens with the same care and softness as You own eyes! Everybody knows what a grain of sand in the eye feels like!
Thanks for explaining the use of the landing pad! No magic involved making the drone search for it...
Saves me som 50 EURO to make it myself.

Good tips and information once again, thanks. I use both the hard and soft-landing pads; the fabric landing pad can be folder up and put in its case and hooked on my backpack without bother. I always carry a power bank that I can fit into a pocket that I can connect to the equipment I’m using like a controller etc. and have an ECO Flow power station 110V 300W with AC outlets. I also always have cable adapters with me so I can change cables from USB to USB-C and USB-C to USB. I always take my equipment bag with me to carry remote controls, spare parts, tools, and accessories that I don’t want to carry in my backpack. I also take my GoPro Hero 11 and gimbal and iPhone 14 Pro and gimbal. The equipment bag stays in the car. I always have a small cooler for my water and Pepsi with ice pack and ice cubes and a snack. I always bring my comfortable folding camping chair because at some ocean front locations you don’t have to stand up to fly a drone.

In the UK if the drone has a camera it needs an Operator ID regardless of it's weight! Hope that helps.

Thanks for that Matthew as thought did not need to unless over 249g
PS... Just Googled it now and it states you do not have to register a 249g drone or sit an online test etc

@@waddac2 you don't need a flyer ID (you have to do a test for that) but you most certainly need an operator ID and have it displayed on the drone or risk prosecution or a fine

This depends on where you are flying. Matthew is clear that he is talking about UK rules. Here in Canada if the drone is under 250 grams then no ID is required and no operator licence or certification is needed, whether or not the drone has a camera. That 250 grams is takeoff weight, so any accessories added could push the weight over that threshold, and the the rules get more elaborate. In the USA the rules are different again.

I am getting a bit fed up with the Mini 3 most of us no not need nore own one, and who would keep a valuable item like that in a bag ?

That DJI shoulder bag is a stylish piece of kit but the clear compartment is a sure giveaway to the goodies contained within. I would advise anyone wishing to purchase one to put their drone in a simple pull string bag first then into the clear pocket to conceal it from prying eyes, bit of extra protection too as there's no padding over that section.

Don’t buy the landing pad. Practice how to hand launch and catch.

Them stickers are rubbish, you can get clear ones on Amazon that look much better, that DJI bag is not good either. Walking through a town and people knowing you are flashing your drone around you’re bound to get your bag snipped. Keep low key
