Interesting; I was living in Yosemite Valley when the Queen came through and, being in management for the concessionaire, was required to show up at the valley chapel to greet (and of course NOT speak to anyone, let alone her majesty!) the queen's party before and after church services. A close friend was a paramedic in Mariposa during that time; I can't recall if he was involved on the call to the crash. I'll have to ask him next time we talk!

Glad you enjoyed it! Life did seem a lot easier ... and less expensive! But I also remember my mom going grocery shopping in the late 1960s and she spent so much we thought Dad was going to kill her. She spent a whopping $40. Ha ha!

Always enjoy your videos. Living on the east coast I got to meet a lot of Broadway stars. I wrote to Bobby Van when he was in Nanette in 1971 and he invited me backstage if I get to NY. The show ran for 2 years and I visited him every time we went to NY. He sent me a Christmas card every year until he died in 1981. Those were precious times so I really appreciate your two videos of your experiences. Thanks

I’m so impressed with your memories and photos of celebrities you have met!
You certainly made the most of the days of “Lockdown” during the first year of the Covid Pandemic. Your stories of celebrity encounters are so interesting without boasting! I could tell that you were really in awe of meeting President Ronald Reagan. Great impression of Mr. Reagan, Jeff! I like the variety of celebrities you’ve met and photographed! Congratulations on the invitation to President Jimmy Carter’s inauguration! I loved Slim Pickens’s distinctive “cowboy” accent!
I give you credit for asking for autographs and drawings! I’ve taken photos of celebs but way too shy to ask for a signature.
I have one autograph from Carol Channing when she was in Stockton.
I think that you are a “celebrity” in your own right! If I have the good fortune to meet you and Sarah, may I ask for your autographs? Your fan in Stockton, Mo’

Being raised in Tuolumne County I've seen & met many actors through the years but I never asked for autographs.
I never thought of them as anything other than normal human beings with great acting skills lol.
So many movies & T.V. Series have been made in Tuolumne County & the surrounding areas we'd see them everywhere on the streets, in the stores & even in the movie theater etc. & a lot of them even owned homes in Tuolumne County.
All I really wanted to do was be an extra in their movies & series but my Mom & Step Dad would never allow me to sign up for any. That use to make me so mad I could spit lol.
But at least I can say I've met them lol.

I met Joe DiMaggio at the passport office. I was standing filling out a form and this guy comes up to me and says, “hey buddy where did you get that form”, I glance up and motion towards a rack of forms. He said thanks. I thought that guy looks a lot like Joe DiMaggio. So I watch him go sit down to fill out the form. A guy walks by him and half yells “How’s a the Yankee Clipper?” He kind of forced a smile and waved. Anyway a little while later I ended up in a line next to him. There was a kid with yankee cap on so I say to Joe “there’s a kid with your hat on” he kind of reached in and touched my arm and says “Where?” I point over to the kid and say to him “we’ll hope you have a nice trip” and he says “you too”. Very pleasant man.

Thank You for sharing your experiences with those folks of importance and accomplishments from the past. I'm ten years older than yourself and from central South Dakota. Born and raised on a farm which is not much of a draw for those folks in the headlines. LOL. My one great experience was and one I Treasure meeting and shaking the hand of one of my heros Red Skelton. He was the entertainer that year at the Mitchell SD Corn Palace fall week long festival held in the fall. (and still is) It includes a main street of carnival rides and some big name entertainers of all backgrounds. For our little corner of the world is use to be top notch when I was growing up. Now days it is simply a minor event that blocks thru traffic on main street. People have become so introverted and shallow where if things don't revolve around them personally them it is just a minor blip to deal with. Sad really but we live in a time where liberal views where the (me, myself, ant I,) attitude prevails.

Hi Will! I have been to SD many times but haven't up to the Corn Palace yet! It's on my list. Interesting you mention Red Skelton. My great uncles both served in WWII in Europe and Red entertained one of the two. Wish I had paid more attention when they talked about it because they are gone. California is getting so bad that we are contemplating leaving here when it's time. Thanks for watching!

Used to bump into Jerry Lewis often, never talked to him. Met Anne Morrow Lindbergh and "The Old Man" Jimmy Doolittle at a dinner honoring the Doolittle Raiders. They were little folks. Got to know lots of famous rock and rollers on their second and third marriages because their kids go to school (Sierra Canyon) with our kids. A few famous radio broadcasters and retired MLB players still drink at a dive bar we like and we drive our off road vehicles to the "Joint" bar in the Randsberg area. A historic spot on it's own. My ex Mother in Law was a famous MGM actress from their golden age and I met all her MGM friends.

Very cool Jeff!! My list is shorter. NV Rep Barbara Vucanavich, NV Gov Bob Miller, Charlton Heston, Frank Sinatra Jr, Seahawk QB Dan Maguire all at the bar I tended at. Met Bob Burns, original Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer, at a truck stop I worked at in Castaic, CA. He was drifting through... He heard the cassette tape I was playing, “Second Helping” and walked over to where I was. Pulled over Tampa Bay QB Trent Dilfer and wrote Colin Kappenick a speeding ticket.. That was my favorite😀😀.

Just off Ponderosa Rd was a recreation of a old 49ers shack with a old low rail fence behind the shack she met him in front of the shack while he was on a lunch break the commercial was filmed behind the shack. My Grandma met Anthony Perkins twice in 1983 one time he was at a Texaco gas station in Citrus Heights off of Greenback and Watts. The second time was in Gormon California he was doing the movie Psycho 2 she had stopped to get help with a overheated. Gmc Grimlin
