What is Chaos Theory's Becklespinax?

- With the release of Chaos Theory, comes a brand new addition to the Jurassic franchise, and that means a brand new batch of dinosaurs too, including one of the oddest of carnivorous dinosaurs, called: Becklespinax...or is it?

pretty great design, even if they gave it the 'wrong' name. It could also be that they intentionally gave it a 90's name, given the design feels quite Jurassic Parky, rather than Jurassic Worldy, which I personally appreciate. (Park's designs weirdly usually look more like the actual animal than what the World movies have on offer). That or it was simply a mistake.
It’s the same case as the velociraptor. They really just pick a name that sounds better.
It's probably because JW focuses so much more on the hybrids and the "genetically modified" science-y aspects than the original trilogy ever did.
It was prob just a mistake, I think AltiSpinax sounds better than BeckleSpinax

Now the franchise had 3 British dinosaurs Baryonyx, Iguanodon and Becklespinax.
We just need an aussie one and we’ve officially gotten prehsitoric species from all 7 continents

Becklespinax is just a synonymous name. The actual official name is Altispinax.

Why didn’t they just do Metriacanthosaurus? If they did choose it, they could’ve done the Jurassic World website variant, the Mattel figure, or the Hammond Collection variant, which I would’ve liked the Hammond Collection variant
They already had the suchomimus model (which is a very good model to me) but they used a compeltely different desing

Pretty big fan of the 2015 Csotonyi designs; something about vivid carnivores just gets me excited. Though I would also be pretty happy if we got the Hammond Collection Metri.

I thought it was a concavenator and screamed my lungs out, turns OUT it was a becklespinax….and my disappointment was immeasurable
It just look like a mini acrocanthusaurus from wish with factory defects
I cant really blame them, when i was researching whole carcharodontosaurid family to better understand my fav Giganotosaurus (😏), i had hard time figuring out if its Becklespinax or Altispinax because that Wikipedie and other websites didnt really helped and all things were saying other things
(but its Altispinax for sure :3)
Besides its broken hands, it’s a pretty neat design. I’m glad Dreamworks is shifting their designs to look more like actual dinos instead of Colin Trevorrow’s monsters.
Still I think they need to tone down the carnivores trying to murder everything in their sight, though given the context of the show, I can let it slide a bit.
I guess Colin Trevorrow have big fear of Crocodiles and Alligators
Because every single carnivore in JW trilogy have their traits (idk how u, but Bears arent scary for having teeth like Crocodiles and osteoderms on their back😒)

I had a weird dream about this dinosaur where there was dragons and there was knights and a queen inside and then play chaos theory becklespinaxes started attacking the castle so the knights came out side to stop them then a dragon came.😂

You know before chaos theory I didn't even know what this dinosaur was but now I actually love BECKLESPINAX now Sadly they're is just not much known about about (yet)... But like you said at the end of the video maybe its appearance and design in chas theory might wanna give scientists a second look Sussex England or Germany where It lived and try to find more bones of it better yet a complete skeleton.

@OmegaPictures318 I was laughing my ass off at that part where part of the gang fell off the bridge with the becklespinax. I saw him moving underwater and Said " Hey! He's swimming underwater, look at em go!" Then I realized he was drowning!! Hahahahahaha!!
But then because they can't get too violent they had the dinosaur kick off the van and swim up to the surface at the last second.
Those three vertebrate could be a huge sail, but they went with concaventor clones

This is gonna be a hot take but I don’t rlly care for its inclusion in the show. Don’t get me wrong it’s a cool looking Dino and it has sum cool scenes but I’m kinda sick of the Jurassic world movies and shows just adding random Dino’s never mentioned in the franchise ever and saying that they’ve always been around but in the background. Like if they were made my biosyn or sum other company I could get it, but chaos theory seems to be setting beckle up as being apart of the dinosaurs that escape Lockwood manor. I think it’s spot should’ve been taken over my Suchomimus bc sucho is long overdue for a appearance in a jw IP and if it took its place in the show I feel it woulda made a lot more fans happy and would make more sense bc sucho was on nublar and it’s confirmed that they escaped Lockwood manor.
Ehhh, I think its fine, its something the franchise has done since TLW, since often the animals start out as filler names for rosters. Hell, Stegosaurus was added to TLW because of fan mail
@@OmegaPictures318 I mean yeh, but Stegosaurus was in the novels and it’s been explained pretty well why sorna has so many new dinosaurs that weren’t on nublar. The Jurassic world movie’s seem to add random dinosaurs bc they look cool without explaining their absence from other movies. Like for camp Cretaceous explained where the sinoceratops, baryonx, and carno lived during Jurassic world. But nasuto, mono,ourano, and tarbo, are just put in without explanation.

Yeah, Becklespinax is an invalid genus, along with dracorex, Stygimoloch, and troodon, but that doesn’t change much considering they made dilophosaurus smaller, shoot venom, and gave it a neck frill

Its potentially related, its somewhat unclear due to the limited material. Often Altispinax is given reconstructions similar to Concavenator due to the shapes of the humps
