Hi! Just found your videos and I love them! Probably watched 10 today. I’m going to visit my family and need to prep my husband for food for 3 weeks. Love your personality !
Renea another great video! I look forward to watching your videos daily I miss you when you are not on here. I am 70 years old and have learned a lot from you. I have always loved to cook but I have had back problems and have bursitis in my hip now going on 2 years now. It is really hard for me to stand very long. I could sit at the table and cut up my veggies and have them ready to freeze and take them out and throw in a dish. Thank you so much for your videos.
Renae...Try keeping some wet paper towels next to you when you chop onions. The vapors go to the nearest form of moistue. (If you don't have a fan available). ❤❤❤
What an AMAZING video, Renae!! THANK YOU so much for this. I had NO idea you could par cook the potatoes and they could be frozen🥴🫣! I'm so sorry you hurt your hand! Praying for a quick recovery for you! Love and hugs💞🙏🏼💞
Another great video! The Rice a Roni recipe is so much easier than what I was doing. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, so inspiring! Your joy and gratitude always shine through.
Rivel soup has been a standard in our family for years, it was such an easy and inexpensive way for my Gram to feed a lot of us. I've always explained to people that it's basically dumplings without the fluff to them, or noodles before they are fully incorporated. We have always used chicken as a base, my great gram would add potatoes and bacon to hers. Such a hearty and warm meal.
Hello Miss Renea! I recently found you and have been binge watching your videos -- love and admire your energy and you are such a pleasure to watch. You have a beautiful and kind soul☺ I wish I was in your neighborhood! Can't wait to try a few of your recipes. Have a wonderful weekend!
Renea, thank you so much for the Rice A Roni recipe, I heard it mentioned many times on different UA-cam channels but haven’t seen what’s in it. Living in Northern Ireland there’s very little access to food products from the USA., apart from Amazon! Love your channel, admire your energy.
Merry Christmas to you Renae your videos are constant because I think you are like a mentor to me.Have a beautiful Christmas holiday to you, Mr. Wayna and the whole family
Good morning, this is another great video. Thank you so much for all you do ❤. I'm a newer subscriber. I've watched so many of your videos. I'm greatly inspired and learning a lot. I've found a passion for cooking that I've not had in years. I've started sale shopping and stocking my cabinets. I'm hoping to have a deep freeze soon and begin stocking it as well. Have a wonderful day sweet lady!
Love rivels in potato soup. My mom always made them to add to potato soup. Thanks for the rice a roni recipe and the instructions on how to cook them ❤. Love ❤️ your videos and home cooking.
i took my momma's advice and started my kids on veggies when they started on solid foods, once they were used to those, after a couple months, i introduced fruit, they both love veggies, i never had a problem
Hey Renee!!!! It is such a blessing to have par cooked, freezer meals and even left overs in your freezer ready to go. Last time I made "Dirty Rice" I froze some too. Took it out today for lunch!!! It was just as good as when I made it!!
Hi Renea!!! I liked your video today. That's a real good idea to have all that in your freezer. I'm going to try the Rice-A-Roni recipe!!! It was fun watching you do all the veggies...Great Video!!!...🦋
I always make my potato soup with egg rivels. Extra, extra rivers! My husband likes his made with milk, shredded carrots, and a little ham or bacon. I like mine water-based with just the potatoes, rivels, and parsley. It’s how we were raised😊 And I love those ice cream for prep and storage. (In sink at 1:34). If you try to boy that size for storing foods, it costs more than buying the ice cream!
You are so amazing !!! I love you and your family so much!!! You give your heart and soul to us!!! I wish you and your family a very very very Happy Thanksgiving!!! I never miss a show!! You are so very positive and uplift my spirits every day!!!
Super excited for this! I just cleaned and defrosted one of my freezers and there is too much space!! I need to prep some stuff and do some freezer meals. I need the inspiration!
Hi Renee, I've always used a wet paper towel beside the cutting board when doing onions, the onion vapors will go to the wet towel and not your eyes! Try it sometime!
Looks like start of a good Yupper, pasty filling! NUM! @#2 WE use that for our two primary salads, It's called 'Nature's Seasoning'. We use 1/4 cup for a approximately 20 pint make. Lost a chicken the other day. It got it's crop balled up, I suspect, from two days before...
Renee, will you please make a video on rivel dumplings? My husbands great grandmother made these for the family in her potato soup and I would love to learn how to make them.
For rice-a-roni I grind up a box of vermicelli. Then however many cups that turns out to be, I add the same amount of rice. I've never added spices like you did. I just season it as I need for a recipe. I may try the spices next time. Don't forget to keep a stick match between your lips when you chop and you won't cry.
No chicken or beef flavor and how are you suppose to lightly brown your rice and pasta? What a great idea and I can regulate the sodium. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching you in your kitchen, while enjoying my coffee. God bless y’all. 😊
You will brown the mix when you cook it. I make mine plain to sell so others can use whatever broth they choose. You can add any flavor bouillon you would like when you put it together. You would need about 5 tablespoons for the recipe.
I make mine plain because I sell it in my market stand. This way others can use whatever flavoring they choose. Also please look in the description box because I have the recipe as well as the direction to cook. Thank you my friend and God bless you too....
My husband loves the zip lock baggies but they are nothing but trouble. I can't begin to tell you how many bags after being opened refuse to zip back and let the zipper part keep coming unzipped. I prefer the double seal bags.
Whenever you cook with that huge stainless steel bowl it makes me 😂😂 because it's almost bigger than you and I think its gonna swallow you up.. Love your videos! Thank you for being you!❤
Do you use a food saver machine? Thank you for sharing these time saving and money saving recipes!! Love to you and your family ❤❤❤ also before you blanched your potatoes did you soak them to remove the starch?
Hi Renae! You said in the video that you put 2 1/2 tablespoons of onion powder in the quadrupled recipe, but the written recipe in the description shows 2 tablespoons onion powder. Since there are about 8 teaspoons in 2 1/2 tablespoons, should the written directions say 2 tsp. instead of 2 Tbsp.? How much chicken or beef bouillon powder would I add to flavor one cup of the rice mix? I'm going to mix up a batch today! Thanks so much.
You need a pair of safety goggles to wear when cutting up your onions. Do you use your vegetable scraps (peelings, stems, seeds, etc.) to make a vegetable broth?
I just love your videos! I’m dog sitting right now and cant pay 100 percent attention to the vid, but did you blanch anything else besides potatoes when you made the O’Rien nags up? Do your veggies ever get freezer burnt when you just put them in the bags? I want to do this so bad and you make it look so easy and convenient. God bless you sweetie, hugs from south east MI 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I only blanched the potatoes, onions and peppers don't require blanching. I pack them in freezer bags and still they get used up to fast to get freezer burnt. It does work very well. Give a small amount a try and you will love this.
Okay, I am a little confused. In other UA-camr videos I have seen them say to cook ur potatoes done before u freeze them or else they will turn black and to mush. Raw potatoes do not freeze well is the word. When u parboil ur potatoes how do they turn out when cooking ur soups and dishes. R they mushy or like potatoes should be in a dish? It has been a conflict in my mind to completely cook potatoes before freezing them. When u cook ur crockpot soup I would think they would disintegrate! Can u pls explain and clear my confusion here a bit pls?
My husband and I always like your show. Both of y’all seem so hospitable!!
Okay l have always wanted to say this… you remind me of Lucille Ball…every time l watch🤦🏼♀️Love you!!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
How do you not have a million subscribers? You are a gem.

Love watching you! You are always so positive! Keep it up!
Rice mix is nice because you control the sodium. No salt added.
Good morning

Frozen veggie packs will come in handy for my elders & my own canning projects 😊. I've been eyeing a veggie chopper to help with the prepping part.

I use the OBrian potatoes for breakfast.....serving with eggs and a breakfast meat. Don't use them any other way.

Hi! Was your grandmother Pennsylvania Dutch?? I thought only a tradition in Amish/Mennonites. Love your channel!
No, she was German.
Which of your cookbooks has these prep meals in it? The potatoes…., roasting vegetables rice a roni
Do you use a food saver machine? Thank you for sharing these time saving and money saving recipes!! Love to you and your family ❤❤❤ also before you blanched your potatoes did you soak them to remove the starch?
You are only the second person other than my family I have ever heard talk about Rivels I’m not sure that spelling is correct, but I rivels
Hi Renea, I have a question where did you get your black scoop that you use ?
Amazon.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Do you ever offer giveaways to your friends through out the year we are the ones that give back to you
❤❤❤🙏
Would you please be able to use the' thing with you put the bags on to fill it with one hand? I had a stroke and I only have one hand
Absolutely. would work nicely for you.
Hi Renae! You said in the video that you put 2 1/2 tablespoons of onion powder in the quadrupled recipe, but the written recipe in the description shows 2 tablespoons onion powder. Oh goodness sakes. I am so sorry. It is 2 teaspoons. Lol I did change it in the recipe.
shake the devil out I love that. Could I use that O'brien recipe after my potato week along with something else I am gonna make for a video?
Absolutely!
You need a pair of safety goggles to wear when cutting up your onions. Do you use your vegetable scraps (peelings, stems, seeds, etc.) to make a vegetable broth?
Not always because I have chickens who just love all the yummy scraps that I can give them. Lol
where did you get that big knife it looks like a nice one
How is the new stand doing? Love your channel
It is doing very good.
I just love your videos! I’m dog sitting right now and cant pay 100 percent attention to the vid, but did you blanch anything else besides potatoes when you made the O’Rien nags up?

@@LittleVillageHomestead oh ok…thank you so much Renee!!🥰
When an onion was strong, my dad used to say, "the person who planted this must have been ticked off when they planted it".
Good afternoon Renea,I was wondering how long do you park bake your potatoes , thanks
about 20-25 minutes.
Oh great thank you
Just curious...you quadrupled the rice and vermicelli but not the spices, am I wrong?
Yes I quadrupled the spices too.
You lost me at lima beans lol. These are good ideas ideas for prepping how long is the parbake for the potatoes
Renae do you blanch your celery also before freezing. What other things do you blanch before freezing?
If it will be frozen longer than 2 months then yes, I blanch it, however, mine is always used up fast.
Can u pls explain and clear my confusion here a bit pls?
With the potatoes Obrien did you Blanche the peppers
No, you do not have to blanch the peppers or onions.
@@LittleVillageHomestead thank you. I will doing that this weekend
Who says you don’t need a lot of thyme (time) 😅😅😅😅 I know I could use more!
Dear Friend, what kind of rice did you use? Instant rice or long cooking rice? Yo ever said 💕🙏🙏
I use long grain rice.
Do you season the OBrian potatoes before you cook them??
Wondering because I serve them 'stand alone' not in anything,
Yes I do.
Are u supposed to blanch onions before freezing?
There is no need to blanch onions before freezing.
Do you sale potatoes out in your stand. You would sale them .
Yes I do.
Love those nails
