Tic Tac Dough '90 - Andrew vs Gita PREMIERE

This is the actual Premiere episode of the ill-fated 1990 version of Tic Tac Dough. Patrick is a lot different here than what he would become in later episodes. I thought this would be an interesting thing to showcase. Hope you enjoy it!

Patrick Wayne was a decent enough actor with a decent enough career - and of course, being John Wayne’s son probably didn’t hurt either. But as a game show host, he would belong on a Mount Rushmore of the select worst (his painfully elongated “You win” might deserve a spot of its own). Larry Van Nuys, who was and maybe still is an LA news anchor, was a decent enough announcer (and got one or two more game show gigs, which is one or two than Patrick Wayne got). If the Wayne TTD is remembered fondly, I’ve little doubt it’s by very few.

The things I didn't love about this version is the jackpot starting over when a tie occurred and the bonus round was mediocre but the dragon in the bonus round and the shuffling categories in every game were the best ones that won it for me.

But the box values went up $500 each tie. Big games could have happened.

@@marcpower4167 There were two questions in a Wink era episode in the same game about the same novel in a World Lir catrgory. I remember someone reporting on it on Game Show Forum or ATGS at the time it aired on GSN.
