Nah man, i agree with you, the best way to watch One piece is to watch the original one and if the pacing is bad wait for the Wits remake of the One piece

one pace follows the manga, the "story" "character" and "plot" that is missing is all filler content. everything you miss, is literally irrelevant.

If you enjoy watching the slow slop that is the original anime with its 0.7 chapters per anime pacing and minutes upon minutes of excruciating slow scenes where nothings happens then be my guest. I dropped the regular anime years ago and watched one pace instead till i reached the end of Wano, best anime decision i have ever done. The pacing is much better and it follows the manga with no bullshit. Only downside is that there are some cool action scenes and fillers they will take our because its not in the manga. But i will take that small negative over the shitty unacceptable anime pacing anytime of the week.
If anyone thinks the state of the anime is acceptable then I dont respect their opinion because 0.7 chapters per episode is a disgrace compared to industry standards. One Pace is amazing and it is the only reason i got to reach the end of one piece unlike the regular anime that is the main reason why so many people drop the series
One Pace is a godsend for people who are anime only and cant read the manga, there's no arguing that - people who are legitimately enjoying the one piece anime are literal masochists and i don't understand them. Do you enjoy watching 20 minutes of reaction panels, pointless flashbacks of things that happened ten seconds ago and long clashes between characters that should be oneshotting each other? The positives of one piece anime: voice acting, iconic music themes. The negatives: everything else. The anime has chased weekly releases and cut corners everywhere for years, ruining one of the best fictional worlds ever created by making it a sloppy corporate product, and the only thing that can make it barely watchable is one pace, and even then, i'd just reccomend reading the manga or waiting for the remake, heck, i would say that the netflix adaptation so far is more respectful towards the manga than the anime, because at least they don't insert a filler arc with some goofy bs that some random guy in the studio thought would be funny in the middle of enies lobby in between actual serious moments. I can't believe or comprehend this dude's words, and i hope he's joking or rage baiting, because if he genuinely enjoys that pile of burning garbage, i feel genuinely sorry for him.

Couldn't have said it better. The anime is absolute garbage and is the main reason why so many people can't get into the series. I was one of those people that dropped the anime after reaching a point where pacing started to go below 1 chapter per episode. I left one piece for many years till I discovered one pace and decided to give the series a shot again. Best decision I have taken since it made me love one piece again and now I am just reading the weekly manga. I don't respect the opinion of anyone who says the anime is better than the one pace version because there is no freaking way someone with a braincell can enjoy that slide show garbage

The whole point of One Pace is that it skips everything that's not in the manga.
Meaning that all of these "key points" and "narrative" you're talking about, are actually filler and useless information.

I also watched it. (until almost the end of alabasta) then stopped and rewatched from alabasta to the end of alabasta and now im in water 7 (watching in crunchyroll)
I can honestly say one pace did not do a good job. I thought it did, as i enjoyed it, but like it felt out of pace ironnically. Breaking toei's timing and filler (non filler episodes but mini fillers inside episodes. There is a reason why animated is not exactly as manga. They rythms need to be different.
Now one pace is just ok if you are in a rush. Like i would even cut it even more and call it half piece. Because it actually gives you half the value (not corresponding to the time saved).
Im now thinking of just going full manga to catch up to current story, because ive already watched all wano and egghead in animation. And know most lore from thousands of videos through out the years.

Half the value? One pace is much more faithful to the manga. Imo it makes post timeskip actually watchable
Tbh I also tried One Pace a bit, just to watch some bits of dressrosa and a bit of wano (by bits i mean 1-2 episodes), and it lacked the aesthetic every episode of one piece has, one pace also follows it's own chronological pace, which is separate than the regular series' pace

one pace literally only cuts filler and doesn’t cut any story telling at all.
My recommendation with One Piece is skip all fillers and maybe skip to something like episode 250-270 during the Enies Lobby arc if you find it boring and slow that's when Luffy starts getting 2nd Gear the combat around that point really kicks it up a notch.
The hardest tihng about one piece for new people is getting into it and the start is kinda just boring for a long time good story but it's kinda boring.

Well One piece isn't for everyone really when I was 11 I started watching One Piece starting as an adult I might not like it

Especially how most of the moments in One Piece is so relevant to the issues in this world like human trafficking, discrimination, manipulation, or cunning political schemes. There's just some moments where when I first watched it as a teenager, I just didn't understand the emotional impact it had, but as an adult, I understand them and, naturally, embraced those scenes
@@fakepain4145 As a kid I watch One piece because it's funny, sad and entertaining, but as an adult, I watch it because it's sad, funny, entertaining, the complexity, world building, and how much I relate to the characters. One piece on surface look very goofy for most people, this make it seems like a childish show, but One piece have very and many dark themes that are subtle, like you said slavery, racism, human trafficking and so on. The older I get, the more complex One piece gets and the more I want to understand it
