@@laurav.7241 They clearly just want a fresh face along with some fresh players for the rebuild. He’s been there 11 years which is fairly long, no coach lasts forever.

With Gawn injured out I think Melbourne are going to struggle against Essendon's talls. However if Essendon's goal kicking efficiency is as it usually is and Melbourne can shut down their on ballers at all I think they'll be in trouble. Essendon by a whisker

Adam Simpson finally sacked. It's about 3 years too late but at least it happened. The club still managed to botch that, too, by offering him to coach one more game. Just sack him and move on. Put one of our assistants in immediately as interim and play the kids to see what they have to offer. Simultaneously, do what needs to be done to poach Dean Cox or anyone else who is either proven or promising. We've sacked Simpson so he should be shown the door and move on from there.
In the end, he had a win ration of 50% so stop acting like he was God's gift to the club. This club needs to stop being so sentimental and start being a ruthless winning machine as soon as possible.
I wouldnt be looking at Simpson for this mess, but always the coach who gets it.
Coach doesn’t employ himself, and not all on him. But the board need to be held responsible for the mess our club is in….alas nothing in the papers about them!!!
Essendon are 4th not 5th
