disagree - I think this is a good conversation. Kennett has always made it about himself when its good, but avoids when its questionable. There is 13 minutes of evidence in front of you and yet its misses you.

I'm a collingwood supporter but have the greatest respect for hawthorn, a club we always struggle to beat, irrespective of the quality of lists, coach, or position on the ladder. Whilst I am antipathetic towards Kennett's politics, I will say this: He is a man who buildings institutions, achieving success, even if a few egos and eggs are broken along the way. Wilson stands outside the building and throws rocks at the windows. End of story.

As a hawk fan I appreciate kennett and wat he’s done, I didn’t agree with the whole clarko and Mitchell saga but it’s turning out fine for both coaches, Mitch has got the hawks putting together a winning streak and north look like they are getting stronger and are now competing in most games long way from getting beat 50-100 pts every game.
Caro genuinely is horrific in debates. She is actually horrid to listen to, she goes off rumours constantly that rarely end up being true. Trying to brown nose him about "writing a complimentary column of you" like he's a puppy. Like using a crap article as a currency to hold over someone after making constant allegations and affectively insults to him. Footy media should only be done by prior players. Who tf let caro and sam ask the questions. They are both unbearable

Kennett and co took a club that was financially on the brink and turned it into a powerhouse and basically financially independent of the AFL unlike handout clubs. That is why he can afford to be so outspoken and that is why Hawthorn could afford to pay Clarkson a million. They decide how they get to spend their own money. Quite frankly Hawks got an amazing return on their investment in Clarkson so why shouldn't they pay him a generous severance. Caro has built sweet FA. Maybe if she shut up she might learn something.

Caro needs to be required to do an interviewing course because she has no idea how to conduct one. An interview should be about getting responses, not to use it as a vehicle to give your own opinion and play one upmanship. McClure just needs to butt out and mind his manners.

Wow, I thought Caro had been going ok this compared to previous years but this was tough to watch. The constant interrupting was childish. Why limit the time? I'm a Carlton supporter and if Jeff was my president and we won 4 flags in 14 years I couldn't care less if he did a dump in Clarkson's lap, Clarkson was and is still paid handsomely. The Hawks were great to watch and highly respected when Jeff was president.

Sitting there and deliberating from their moral high grounds. Yet both of them have been wrong on so many occasions with their stories on players, coaches and clubs (something they'd have no idea about) and have no repercussions on their words that they spew and when called on them they back pedal quicker than anyone or blame their "sources" for providing incorrect information. That was an absolutely disgusting "interview". In this day and age the media can't keep doing interviews like this they need to learn from the podcasts and realise to tackle subjects like this individuals such as Jeff Kennet it needs to be a lengthy discussion not some 10 minute shout down and probing of a 76 year old man that went nowhere.

Perhaps Channel 9 should have provided sufficient time for a proper interview; and perhaps Caroline Wilson could accept the possibility that allowing Kennett time to answer her questions would have provided her/the viewers with an insight that neither had (or still has)

As a Hawthorn man I think Jeff did an outstanding job residing over Four Premierships which included three consecutive Premierships and financial stability. The stuff of dreams.
Thank you Jeff for your wonderful service. Your successor Andrew Gowers was a wonderful premiership player for Hawthorn and suitably qualified to take the club further forward.
Can I just say that everyone can see what a lovely person Jeff is. A bit old fashioned and sometimes misunderstood, but a real gent. I don't know why Caro insisted on talking over him all the time.
