Great video. All military personnel need to watch this and re-examine their PT=running culture.
Your consistency and dedication is on another level sir. 👈🏻
Kudos to this incredible individual for their dedication to both lifting weights and running! Their commitment to fitness is truly inspiring.

Your consistency and dedication is on another level sirr👏
This was the first year I maintained my lifting schedule during "PFT season." Brought my run time from 30:20 to 22:40 and logged a better overall score than last year. More importantly I didn't skip a beat on my lifting due to running. I'll always have some running in the weekly program. I like the mix of long slow distance and short runs / sprints. Good work, Grant!
Great work 👏
Great hardwork keep it up
Super duper
You seem to be contradicting yourself and not notice it. You said it yourself, that your initial 3-mile time was very slow - I agree. So getting it down 23:44 was an equivalent to novice effect in strength training - i.e. going from untrained to still early novice. So in this example surely running won't interfere with your strength training very much. No activity in which you are a novice will, since the need for recovery is still preety low. But we all know that in longer perspective those activities will interfere with each other and you simply won't be as strong as you could be.
For the record, I don't dissagree about recommending some cadrio aside from just lifting, and sticking to lifting when short on time resources, but it seems as if you picked a very bad example to justify a point of view which isn't fully correct.
