How does a video seem like the longest video ever and yet it should be about 2 hours more because this is probably the best conversational interview I've seen in a long, LONG time. Holy crap. Amazingly done.
Like he was talking about around 1:13:37, I think part of the reason why they couldn't find that one sentence for Family and why they struggled to make the video is because family is just too complicated to be broken down into one sentence. That's why the abstract works so well for this one even if they don't like to leave things open ended like that. We all know that pretty universal "feeling" when talking about family but it is so hard to verbalize the dynamics and explain it to others who are not in our specific family. At least that's my two cents that no one asked for.
This is such a great fucking interview. Otherwise no one would know about the extreme ingenuity that goes into all badflower projects. These guys are geniuses.
Badflower is art. They are very underappreciated. Josh is a beautiful person, especially personality wise. Love every bit of this interview. When he was talking about shutting people out while filming "Family", being in his head and how supportive his friends were, I had feels. Then it's like let's talk aliens and ghost. 😂😂 Loved every moment of this! 🤘
I had to go to the original to your reaction vid, and you never cried...These guys showed up anyway with you only at 57k follows and did this! DUDE I'm impressed with how down to earth these guys are and how much love they showed to you..I honestly don't think bands like Metallica,GnR, Megadeth ...would give the time... these guys are sky rocketing and still humble and honest...they have a new fan from an old man... and you do as well, my friend.
I just saw them at Louder Than Life and hands down one of the best artists i've ever seen live. He's able to put so much emotion into his songs and I love it.
according to Josh I’m a derp derp and yes we do know how to have the best time and it’s not 85% of the time somebody gets hurt it’s like 90% maybe more But damn does it make for good stories
I didnt know you reacted and THEN had a podcast with Josh and them, I remember seeing them in concert May 2022 in what I thought was a "flyover" state where a lot of bands in Kentucky normally they dont go all out just passing through to Cincy. It was their last tour date which in the U.S. on the tour, I didnt know. They played for 2 hours, and the warm up bands also played for 2 hours. 4 hour concert and it was fun Josh was energetic and it was amazing. Best concert I ever been to, first ever "rock" concert I had been to and it changed my life and really brought a positive to what was a dark time for me.

57:00 Honestly, this conversation is reminding me of a theory I had the other day about dreams, which kind of translates to a lot of things, I think. I believe that the human mind can, in fact, comprehend a 4 dimensional (or more) universe. Dreams are a good example of us comprehending and manipulating a 4 dimensional universe. Being on psychedelics like acid allows you to relax enough into that state where you can see into that 4 dimensional universe as well. And that's what I think "ghosts" are, to a certain extent. Quantum entities that exist without being able to interact with what we consider to be material things, because either they exist at a different time, or in a different location.
Look forward to seeing badflower in Nashville on Halloween, if the universe is infinitely big and we know at least one plant has life (earth) then even if it zero point one thousand ones that’s still an infinite number of plants with life
