- Halo 4 On PC In 2022 is unexpectedly great and one of the best games in the entire MCC. Halo 4 PC runs smooth, looks gorgeous, and plays great on mouse and keyboard. Without a doubt, Halo 4 is one of the best feeling games on mouse in the Master Chief Collection. Plus Halo 4 on PC in 2022 offers some excellent graphics and crispy visuals. Pair that with some great Halo 4 DLC maps and the BtB experience is unexpectedly great. Thanks for watching!

I really enjoyed Halo 4 on the 360 and was blown away to see how good it looked on MCC. It wasn't my favorite Halo, but it is fun to play. Seeing how well Halo 4 does on PC makes me want to see a full version of Halo 5 on PC.
Halo mcc it is the true halo experience on PC and not the poorly done port of infinite (I clarify I love halo infinite but its port does not compare to that of MCC)
Halo 4 is great on Keyboard. I discovered a glitch in BTB Heavies where destroying any ghost (even unoccupied ghosts) gave you and the team 10 points. I’ve abused that several times to win entire matches with no deaths and no kills lol
Love it or hate it this at least has more content than halo infinite.
Halo Infinites campaign gameplay is a great improvement compared to 4 and 5.

For a game that's nearly 10 years old, the graphics hold up really well (I know the game's had a resolution boost and all, but still)
I've always said that Halo 4 should've been delayed for a year and been an Xbox One launch title. The game could've been so much better with that extra year of dev time, and the graphics would've been just fine
While Halo 4 isn’t really what you would call a traditional “Halo” game, I’ve always thought it was still a really good game in its own right. I understand why people didn’t like it tho.

This game does get a lot of hate nowadays, but all they did was build on Halo: Reach with classes and load-outs. Overall, it has better maps and gameplay than Halo Reach. The BTB is great and one of the most fun in the series. The story and campaign are also good. People shit on the Prometheans, but let’s be honest, are the flood fun to fight in Halo CE and Halo 3?

Halo 4 sucks because there are no spawns for regular weapons. So if your BR/DMR runs out of ammo, you're SOL. And it requires a special ability to be able to pick up dropped nades & ammo. WTF

Dominion is one of the most slept on game types in my opinion. Halo 4 was a hidden gem. Amor was pretty cool, progression system was simple. Campaign was pretty good. Also had spartan ops plus a pretty good forage I believe. Always was a good time!

I think people really didn’t appreciate pretty halo 4 was on release because of the controversial art style change but yeah it really has grown on me a lot in terms of a visual stand point. Even the gameplay really has grown on me. I think halo 4 btb is actually one fo the best btbs in all of halo.

Halo 4 was the best halo days of my life. So many people didn't like it and there were aspects that I didn't like but that was overshadowed by everything else. Glad I played during that time.

I've been an average halo enjoyer since 2007 and I am guilty of having put more time into halo 4 than any other halo, being level max and used to be a beast at swat, a lot of my friends hated that gamemode because of me, I was just snapping to hands with my crusty xbox 360 controller on 30fps, and now that I have it on pc it feels even better playing halo 4 on max settings and getting way over 144fps, on a 144hz monitor it feels so smooth and enjoyable, I don't care what people say about halo 4's original multiplayer experience, it's just so fun
the fact that your spartan can run made me feel like i was master chef 🔥 hated the story of this game but maan the online and gameplay was my favorite lol

@@megaman37456 But that's not true, while the game is all about in depth mechanics and an expansive sandbox that does change with every title, you can't say that Halo 4 was a natural evolution of 3 or reach, in terms of mechanics and art style (especially the art style). The game is absolutely not about mechanical evolution. It welcomes it, and it's usually there, but change is not made for the sake of change.
Halo isn't known for "evolving" with every game. Changes are needed to keep the game fresh, but they have to make sense and abrupt changes need to be carefully planned and executed. Halo 4 did not carefully plan or execute these changes. There is, to my knowledge, no explanation for why quite literally everything looks and sounds completely different. And that's just the art style.
Whether you like the story or not is completely subjective, so you can't blame people for that, and the inspiration of call of duty is very clear in the multiplayer.
Don't say people aren't fans because they don't like this game. We have our reasons to not like it. You have your reasons to think it's good. We're all fans because we care about this franchise, not because of our preconceived views of what Halo is. So please, let's all be better.
I posted a steam forum on this topic and the majority problem people had with this game was the art design and loadouts in multiplayer.
Surface level garbage that doesn't really matter, there are added game modes in the multiplayer that get rid of loadouts and the game isn't as bad as the rep it gets.
There was WAAY more than just the loadouts and art style, i honestly cannot think of a single thing that halo 4 did better than any of the games that came before it. I feel like the retroactive appreciation of halo 4 is less that halo 4 was actually good and more that everything we have today is just so much worse

Prometheans are the worst enemy type ever introduced to halo and it's the primary enemy you fight in this game. They are just a chore to fight though with knights being bullet sponges that can teleport when they get low health and can spawn more of the flying drones that revive them so it just goes on forever. I could keep ragging on the enemies but let's shit to weapons, I swear on campaign/spartan opps you have a permanent famine skull on due to how little ammo you get from enemy weapons, plus due to how 343 designed multiplayer all the weapons felt exactly the same because they honestly were, everything has the same ttk except the boltshot. Sidenote I personally found the storyline and characters awful but that's just an opinion. As for multiplayer god it was bad at launch, I would honestly say that 4 had the weakest lineup of maps up to that point with the only one liked being Valhalla. The only good forge map at launch was the astroid belt but nothing on the level of forge world would ever grace 4. Then there is just the little things that you encountered like the fact that due to 343 making the flood models for infection you couldn't give infected players a different starting weapon, which means no Jenga fatkid or duck hunt. I could keep going but honestly you get the point by now it was the start of the decline

I like to think of the Prometheans as an enemy type that is just simply stronger then any enemy we have unencountered, other then the sniper jackals I guess. I for one did not mind fight them.

They really don’t take that long to kill, they have a huge hit box, so things like the assault rifle are decent against them. Or even just light rifle spam. Shotguns, snipers, rockets. All the power weapons still kill them in an effective amount of time.

This is a problem how? You have low ammo, it’s still possible to get through the game, you are able to beat the game by switching weapons and picking up enemy weapons, could you imagine if someone said that Dark Soul’s campaign was shit because there are no interruption frames between attacks? This is nothing but an added difficulty to game, that forces you be more smart with your ammo.

How so? Because from an aim perspective, there are certain scenarios where I would prefer the BR over the carbine.

Yeah, well. If you take out master chief and cortana, and the halo universe. It’s a pretty decent story. It’s a decent story, it’s just not what the halo fan wants.

They certainly are a lot less iconic, but in all honesty. They were alright. But I personally never cared about Halo’s multiplayer all together. I’m more of a quake type of person.

I miss that "Arcade" Feel Halo used to have. I feel like Infinite lacks that "Feel" in my opinion.
halo 4 for me was stuck in that weird spot, while it wasn’t the traditional halo experience coming from someone who grew up with the series since CE I still really enjoyed what it had to offer, plus it’s one of my favourites to play in splitscreen with friends

Well there is the halo 5 forge mode you can get for pc on the windows store, you cant play campaign or do matchmaking but you can play customs with friends. Its also free

The Halo community was not ready for something like H4 when it was released. Not a favourite of mine in terms of Halo games but on it's own it was still a good game. And I always loved how the sniper sounded. 😎

Let's be honest, 343 made a very abrupt change for Halo 4, it wasn't bad, but it did take time to see that it was a game with very good ideas.

Halo 4 was fun but the only thing that killed it for me was how overwhelming powerful the BR and Sniper Rifle are in that game. Besides that I enjoyed Halo 4. I just wish moving forward with any Halo we learn from the past and make it better for the future. Just because something didn't work so much the first time doesn't mean it can't work at all. Hopefully we see more of the things from other Halo games in the future but made better.

When 4 came out I loved it. I think most Halo fans did. And honestly even with the art style change you can still see the trilogies DNA all over the place. I think 5 really tainted 4s perception since they look so similar.

For me, it was the loadout system and kill streaks. It was more CoD and less Halo. I still enjoyed what it was though.

the fast sprinting speed messed with map scaling and the custom loadouts can be very unbalanced.
the killstreaks where randomized, while halo works better with determined spawns abd where stabdard in to many gametypes
having the infinite style 10% speed boost/ no stamina sprint, scale adjusted maps (or make walking 110% speed), a classic playlist set without ordinance or loadouts, and infinity slayer/etc with map-fixed ordinance and reach style gametype- fixed loadouts would have been a banger.
also: black undersuits, spacediapers and more different color lights instead of just blue&orange on forerunner structures

Halo 4 was my first Halo and I would say the most important video game I’ve played because it opened me up for gaming culture before it I mostly played licensed games based on superheroes and Ben 10

I feel like overall Halo 4 is the best Halo game 343 has made. It’s definitely a more full bodied halo experience from launch compared to 5 and infinite. Not to mention for a now decade old game made for the 360 it still looks pretty damn good technically.

A little late here… it’s been awhile but I finally played through Halo 4 myself and I’m conflicted. On one hand I adore “half” of the campaign, Chief & Cortana’s dynamic was great. Call me out but I cried at the end.
It’s the other half that ruined it. In another universe we got this great character study of our two main hero’s but the Forerunners remained human. I loathe 343 for taking everything bungie worked up to and threw it out the window! Art style aside I hate how they felt the need to over explain and retcon the lore.
All in all I thought it was fun but damn I donot like the Forerunner lore
Imagine if Halo 4 was initially released with the post-patch multiplayer update!! I loved H4 Team Slayer. With the introduction of four precision rifles to choose from, the game was a blast. I personally loved the Carbine and the Light Rifle ❤
Honestly the only game in Bungies Halo lineup I find as enjoyable as 4 and 5 is Reach, sure H2 had a kickass campaign and multiplayer but 3, just didn't do it for me.

As a huge Halo 4 fan it’s great seeing others appreciate it too. Definitely an underrated gem when compared to the other games. To me it’s just as good as the Bungie games.
They pushed the 360 that far because there is really very little upgrades between console generations they jsut want you to think there is so you spend insane money on new consoles and because of exclusives that are perfectly capable of running on last gen consoles

In terms of gameplay and even the weapons, this game was probably the best in how good it felt to play. I think the problem with this halo game were the new features (especially the cod style ones) and the art style change. Also that disgusting BR sound 😖.

It's honestly more Halo than Infinite. For me Halo was a game that constantly evolved its formula even if it borrowed from other games, Infinite devolved the formula to pander to the aging nostalgia drowned H3 fanboys.

Halo 4 was the last good Halo. Yeah, it incorporated a couple elements from COD but so what? Halo was getting stale and aging badly at that point. There was nothing wrong with borrowing some successful elements from COD. This game still felt like Halo and in my opinion felt more like Halo than Halo 5 or Reach did. This game has a bad reputation because of how horribly toxic the Halo community was in 2012

Every Halo game ever released has immediate population decline. This notion that multiplayer games needs steady populations over large periods of time is nonsense and no Halo game has ever had a steadily large population.

I’ll tell you how 343 pushed the 360 so hard. Ever since they took over the lighting effects have been completely chopped out of the game. Play the older halos and shoot and weapon with glowing bullets and the lighting is amazing but in 343 games there is like no effects.

This game got a bad rap but I always thought it was a ton of fun. Always wished more people played / enjoyed it. The pace was so fun, it did feel more arcadey so very different than H3 but still really fun, good memories
