No disrespect to Dawko, but he left out details that really make this entire story even more tragic and sad. Edward was bullied a lot in school and looked down on by girls. It was not so bad because he always had his best friend by his side. After his two best friends died, he not only had to deal with the sorrow and pain that brought, he also still had to deal with bullies at school. In fact, the bullying got worst. He would get beaten in the bathrooms at school, get his head slammed and flushed in the toilet, and tripped and pushed to the floor. He had to deal with the emotional trauma of losing two loved ones horrifically also while getting physically and mentally beaten at school...every day. I know he is just giving a summary, which is why I strongly urge those to STILL read the books yourself. So many details and scenes of character moments and development that a summary can not do justice for. He did a good job with the summary, but those who read the books will only truly feel the emotional weight these stories hold.

Well…he must have done that on purpose, right? I mean, how would you accidentally send human hair instead of cat hair? Guess this must be what he wants…Eh, it's not my job to question it, just to make the thing…" I'm not making a joke here, that's actually what probably happened. Even serious, it's still kind of fucked up.
Fun Fact: since nothing sinister was involved with Edward’s death, his soul is never put to rest by detective Larson. Same thing goes will the girl from pizza kit and the kid from the breaking wheel
@@unforeseeable2.058 yes but it didn’t have anything to do with fazbear entertainment. I’m friendly face, the animatronic worked exactly how it should have, it just has a kids face on it. The events of pizza kit were just Payton’s fears and her death was because of her own paranoia not anything to do with fazbear’s.
Also, two things 1. I "love" how the main character's mother was NEVER there when she was needed, only when she had to disturb the main character and reader from finding out a main plot element. 2. This is why you always ask weird creatures if they want to kill you or what. Maybe they just wanna be friends?!?! 😫
Well, it couldn't really speak. And imagine your friend and your cat died and then a cat with your friends face appears but you know its a robot so its just a moving reminder of what happened hat never stops following you and is always staring at you and stuff. That would have horrible effects on someone's mental health.
To be honest, the Friendly Face Edward had didn't even wanna kill him, it wanted to play with him. It was sad to hear that the Friendly Face just sat there after Edward got ran over, meaning it was waiting for Edward to get up so they can play
That was a smart yet very dark, obvious lay out of the Butterfly effect. It all started off as the cat simply going after the butterfly everything's fine. Then the Cat not listening building up some form of anxious intent as we know it's a FNAF story. Then Edward going after the cat cat goes into the street a Dump truck coming then not being able to stop in time and lastly killing both Friends. All over one Butterfly.
Friendly Face is just a saddening story of trauma and descending into chaos. Edward just wanted to see the cat again, got the wrong cat-face, and was just being non-stop reminded of his dead friend. Tragic. Also, yes! You can actually get a recreation of your pet, from being a new-born, to being an adult. It's *VERY* expensive and has a low success rate. I personally wouldn't want to get *another* of my deceased pet because it wouldn't be the same, but I know many people who do.
The ending gave me huge step closer vibes like how Pete was running for Foxy to stop the curse and got hit by a truck because of it and then Edward dies running from the Friendly Face to save himself but ends up dying anyway it’s so sad
The thumbnail looks better than the actual cover. The lighting and design of the Friendly Face looks a bit more unerving, with it lurking in the bushes. The actual cover with Friendly Face plastered on a colored background looks weird, especially when we've had covers in the past with great backgrounds, such as Puppet Carver and Step Closer.

If they were strays for long enough they may have learned about roads and stuff by seeing them firsthand. But still, I suppose this is why outdoor cats aren't usually a good idea, unless you can walk them like a dog or something. Apparently cat leashes are a thing but I have no idea if that has any negative effect on the cat or not. Also, some people have cat-cam, which you can put on a cat to watch what it does. I've been told those are okay to use with your cats, and it will let you see their habits and stuff outside. Not that useful for actually saving them though. Anywats I'm really glad my cats aren't legally allowed to leave the house, so my family had to keep them indoors. Especially since they were really young when they got them and have likely never been outside so they won't have as strong an urge to leave.
This story reminded me of this Arnold Swartzeneger movie, I think he realizes he's been replaced in it, anyway, there's this thing advertised called, "Ready Pet" or something like that, with a similar claim where they can replace your lost pet and give it back to you. I wonder if that's where Scott and the other writers got the idea.
The friendly face reminds me of fredbear plush, and when Fredbear plush can appear everywhere in FNAF4 along side BV being able to hear him. And that ‘mound’ kind reminds me of the mound we see in Midnight Motorist
I beleive this story is in reference to golden freddy being a merge of both fnaf 4 Crying child and Cassidy, Or at least to the idea of multiple souls possessing a animatronic of sorts like merged remnants from multiple souls.
Y’know something really odd that not many people seem to notice about faz bear frights is that the end of come closer and friendly face were both run overs potentially a reference to fruity maze, as well as many endings just being lol subversion of expectations plot twist ending.
Friendly face is probably not made with faz goo because we know Faz good tries to make lifelike and exact clones of people. It's probably just some advanced DNA thing that was corrupted by the "manufacturing anomaly" we hear about before it gets to Edward
I agree with the explanation dawko said. I believe Fazbear had really good intentions and wanted to help people with their losses of a best friend, pet of course. It's just that Edward made a mistake and made a ugly looking companion, but it was still the same as any other robot companion.
Or it came from the distribution centre and Andrew's agony went into it, like a cat version of fetch, which explains the few bits of weird behaviour and it's not just the face making it creepy, it acts and feels odd as well.
As we come to a close on this series and head off to the newer book series, I just want to say as a long-term FNAF fan who has been on this crazy theory and lore journey, I’m pretty disappointed in the Fazbear Frights book series. Let me explain: The series and stories within each of the books, just like any series, have their hits and misses. The stories in the first few books were actually pretty fun and much more entertaining than the ones in later books if you don’t look at it too technically. However, something I noticed from a lore perspective is that.. well.. there’s barley anything. I wouldn’t originally feel so bothered by this if it really was just a fun FNAF series- but remember Scott told us that the stories would help fill in many holes of the lore from FNAF 1-4 and we didn’t get much of anything as told unfortunately. All we really got was who Michael Afton was and many many more questions. Additionally, the books have a very hard time establishing what is possible and what isn’t possible in the universe (which is very important in a supernatural and sci-fi universe) which in turn creates more questions and plot holes. The later installments also feel very lack luster. They feel like another “Goosebumps” story with Freddy’s name on it.. not a FNAF story surrounding the mysterious animatronics and shady past of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Am I ungrateful? No. Like I said, the stories are pretty fun and interesting- some hits and some misses. But that doesn’t discount the fact that we didn’t get what we were told. Which is also why I’m like “seriously? Do we really need another series of these books?” It started off strong but lost its spark.
This! As a big big fan since FNaF 2, really keeping up with lore news, I feel like this series was kind of too much for them. Like... Why so many? Some ideas for stories seem to be so unneccessary and not even fun. Most don't even make any sense, much much more than original FNaF lore/timeline. So yeah, I'm dissapointed as well
While some of the stories give us some similarities, (similar characters and similar fates of those characters) I do wish they were a little less... discreet? Like I’m not quite sure what to do with what the books have given us. I do, however, LOVE that they at least tell us what Remnant is!
I mostly agree, and am very greatful full the series, I just think it was a bit lack luster. My only disagreement is that I think we did get quite a bit of lore, well, lore adjacent. Maybe the way the lore was delivered in ways people didn't expect, or in very convoluted ways but I think we got a lot, once you lay it out. But that's just my opinion!
To me, Count the Ways is the best book story so far. It's simple, it has a character we all know, and really shows us that, despite their friendly appearences, those things will kill you in very painful ways.
Soooo was there something I missed, or did Dawko get way too distracted with Security Breach coming out that he didn’t give us the “What You Need to Know” about “Sea Bonnies” and the last story plus epilogue? lol
Now we got all Lonely Freddy and Friends story that dawko has read. Including fetch, lonely Freddy, Ralpho, plush trap chaser, yarg foxy, Simon, tag along Freddy and faraday
Man, the part where the cat and Jack dead, it kinda hit me in a disturbed way. It reminded me of the situation we have here in my country, and mostly people here don't care about it. The drivers we have, in any vehicle here, they ran over stray animals and do nothing about it. And usually, I see dead cats or frogs in the road. Even in my street, so yeah pretty disturbing.
Thank you for making this Dawko! You put alot of effort into these, just for our entertainment. Thank You! I've been feeling really empty today, but this made my day better. I always love some Fazbear Frights bedtime stories...well...maybe not BEDTIME stories. I can't sleep now...😃
20:58 when I read that, it somewhat reminded me of the scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Hermione accidentally collected cat hair instead of human hair
This is one of my absolute favorites out of the books so far!!! It's basically Pet Semetery if it was set in the Fazbear universe lol. But the one detail I really do enjoy is the fact that earlier on it's mentioned that the main character doesn't like hanging out in the woods, unlike the other kids he's scared of getting lost. Which is important because later on in the climax he's panicking, and since he doesn't know the area it's easy for him to be turned around, run out to the road and get hit. Nicely done story very suspenseful and emotional!!! (I also adore Faraday/Jack!!!)
Me sitting here knowing about DNA sequencing (and being upset at a _fake_ company that’s just for a horror story): This was 100% intentional by Fazbear Entertainment. You can tell when a DNA sequence is from different species, to be able to even make a clone you have to have the entire DNA sequence of a species (the difference between individuals of the same species and the difference between individuals of different species is so vastly different there is no mistaking it). In short; there is no possible way that Fazbear didn’t know that this would be the result when they started the process, and if this was a real world company (ignoring the probably immoral ways they would get the “face”) with real world policies and laws this would be a total… I don’t even know the term for it… infringement, lie, false advertisement, whatever, and would be taken up in court (if this were to happen on a normal basis on whatever DNA is given through contamination). Fazbear is completely at fault here. Idk why I’m so riled up by this.
Fun fact, if you look in the book "Step Closer", you'll actually see that in the title of "Dance with me"(as well as most of the titles in the series), there are smaller letters within them. "Dance with me" has a name though. If you look closely at the D, You'll see the name DAVID. This could be referring to Dave Miller, aka William Afton. This makes perfect sense due to the fact that it is widely accepted that Mrs. Afton possessed Ballora. And who is the animatronic who is in the short story? Ballora.
I imagined that the people who produced Jackaday sent it anyway because a lot of people had sent in human DNA as a joke or to see what would happen so they send them anyway to teach people a lesson or something? Like they're just tired of people doing it (because let's be real, people probably would) and they obviously don't know that Edward did it by mistake and that his friend was dead
Man, I don’t know how much to thank you for reading all the books, cause in my country they will just exit a lot more further ( I’m Italian) than in other states, and also you’re a really nice and relaxing narrator. Thanks for everything you do for us ❤️🙏👍

As someone who recently lost a beloved cat I had for 16 years, this whole "Friendly Face" thing sounds like exploitative garbage. It wouldn't be my Mischief-kitty, it would be a robot designed to look like her, and trying to replace her with that would be an insult to her memory. What about the cat's personality? My Mischief-kitty didn't always want to play, she had a cattitude, she showed her love by allowing you to pet her when she felt like it and otherwise just napping nearby instead of far away. Would that be preserved in the animatronic? I'm guessing not. I would not insult her by putting her face on a robot and trying to act like it was her. She's gone, and as desperately as I miss her, this thing would only be an insult to everything she was. Also, I saw the twist that he got his friend's hair by mistake coming MILES away, and I'd even forgotten the cover art. It was just so predictable. Kinda weird that the guys who made it went through with sending it, though…I mean, there was a delay due to a production anomaly, that meant that they noticed it wasn't right; what did they do, try again and get the same result, realize the kid had sent human hair, and decide, "Well, he must have done it on purpose, I mean, how do you accidentally get human hair instead of cat hair?" Come to think of it, that is a valid question if you don't know the context…maybe that IS what happened…
Very short and awesome book! Also Jackaday sounds like a very cool name.😎 Edit: my theory for the pet or Jackaday is there is nothing with him. Edward only looked on the outside instead of the inside, playful side. Looking on the outside instead the inside can really make you scream, but you should only look on the inside.
I think of it as a cat who wants to play, but it’s an animatronic and it just happen to have a dead human face yak but honestly, that picture of the friendly face hiding in the bushes gave me chills, so unsettling.
I think a better name would be friendly face because that’s the name of the product and as this is a combination of both then that fits( at least for me )
Jackaday could have dug out and reburied the pile/mound/hole as a cat would do before and after doing its business. So cat digs out and refills it, walks away-struts away more like ^_^
You could be a saint in the fnaf universe (Trying to stop the hatred in the world, Standing up for people being bullied, Confronting people to tell them what their doing is wrong, Etc) And still meet an horrific end
I think that these stories that seem to have no connection with the games, actually there can be, these stories shows how advanced Fazbear's technology is
Just imagine like a couple hours, the cat is still waiting for Edward to get up but suddenly realised that he is actually dead after his mother came with panic and full of tears. And for his funeral, the last thing he sawed…was…the cat… Haunting Edward forever… even though he is dead, he still sees the face off his two face and body friends…

As we come to a close on this series and head off to the newer book series, I just want to say as a long-term FNAF fan who has been on this crazy theory and lore journey, I’m pretty disappointed in the Fazbear Frights book series.
Let me explain:
The series and stories within each of the books, just like any series, have their hits and misses.
Do we really need another series of these books?”
It started off strong but lost its spark.
I do, however, LOVE that they at least tell us what Remnant is!
i agree!! stories like into the pit and fetch felt really interesting and really fnaf-like
I mostly agree, and am very greatful full the series, I just think it was a bit lack luster.
FNaF books are hands down the best books I’ve read in my life
How many books have you read?
Really? What kind of books do you usually read?
oleksiy I’ve read most except Friendly Face & Gumdrop Angel
Bethany Johnson I mostly read books similar to Anne of Green Gables
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: 🗿
Harry Potter: 🗿
Goosebumps: 🗿
Soooo was there something I missed, or did Dawko get way too distracted with Security Breach coming out that he didn’t give us the “What You Need to Know” about “Sea Bonnies” and the last story plus epilogue? lol
I think he lost all sanity looking at the title and just tried to avoid it at all costs-
It'll be cool if dawko done a stichwraith explained video
Great idea
Dawko: I don't think William mad a animatronic based on Susie's dead dog
MatPat: actually
Now we got all Lonely Freddy and Friends story that dawko has read. Including fetch, lonely Freddy, Ralpho, plush trap chaser, yarg foxy, Simon, tag along Freddy and faraday
hey dawko, we just found my cat dead, i was broken, but after watching you i feel way better, keep up the amazing work
Rip :( im sure your cat was a wonderful pet and amazing friend
You okay? If you still feel sad talk to someone about it. I hope they had a good life. :)
I’m sorry for your loss 🙏.
I'm sorry, pets are always good friends
Ok ? :>
I might want to dress up my cat as Friendly Face!
Finally! It came out! Thanks dawko, I can't wait for you to read Sea Bonnies
Smells fishy
@@blacktrap6770 very fishy
Can't wait for him to explain the story with those Sea Bonnies,
Dawko never fails to entertain us
He never fail the entertainment
"Never Fails Entertainment"
Fun fact: the main character was named Andrew but was changed to Edward for some reason
Isn't Andrew the name of the angry ghost kid in the Stitchwraith?
Maybe it was changed to avoid confusion.
@@fox_childe661 I think that’s the reason, but I don’t think it’s been confirmed. If someone does know please respond
Dawko: ITS FINALLY HERE
Also friendly face: literally was released a few months ago
Gotta love how dawko tries to do a Chills impression at the beginning. Quite good actually.
Even in my street, so yeah pretty disturbing.
i was actually feeling down today and seeing the book readings return cheered me up!
Ah yes dead boy and cat make me feel better (just kidding)
Thank you for making this Dawko! You put alot of effort into these, just for our entertainment. Thank You! I've been feeling really empty today, but this made my day better. I always love some Fazbear Frights bedtime stories...well...maybe not BEDTIME stories.
I can't sleep now...😃
Same bro
20:58 when I read that, it somewhat reminded me of the scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Hermione accidentally collected cat hair instead of human hair
Broke: bury the weird human cat hybrid
Woke: call the customer service line and return it
16:06, But it does prove that Fazbear Entertainment has advance technology.
Whenever you draw a cute cat-girl, one of these “Friendly Faces” is created.
Are you happy with what you’ve done?
Was it worth it?
For every human with cat features there must be a cat with human features
"The storm has taken all of the power in the house, and it's creepy and dark". But it's not dangerous, right? WRONG. We're in Fazbear Frights!
Dawko: Next episode will be (looks) Sea Bonnies!
Me who's already read through to the second story in book 11: OH BOY
This would go well if Fazbear Entertainment actually existed.
Ballora.
I've had this book for almost 3 years, and I have never seen that little detail! Thank you!
Sergio's lucky day also has the name DAVID.
That's the hugest stretch I have ever seen for this franchise
This is one of the most of the sad stories i have ever heard 😢
...... well then prepare yourself for the last story of prankster
(It was pretty sad though)
I imagined that the people who produced Jackaday sent it anyway because a lot of people had sent in human DNA as a joke or to see what would happen so they send them anyway to teach people a lesson or something? Like they're just tired of people doing it (because let's be real, people probably would) and they obviously don't know that Edward did it by mistake and that his friend was dead
Mom: do you want me to get the next fnaf frights book
Me who watches Dawko: no
Man, I don’t know how much to thank you for reading all the books, cause in my country they will just exit a lot more further ( I’m Italian) than in other states, and also you’re a really nice and relaxing narrator.
Thanks for everything you do for us ❤️🙏👍
FINALLY I BEEN WAITING FOR MORE BOOKS
this story trips me up because my first name is jack and my second name is edward.
trippy
Something bad always happens in these books. I wish that they didn’t though
17:59 that's true, however I agree with MatPat that Susie's dog was brought back as Mangle by William Afton
Finally mate. Its about time we got another one of these. Also, awesome job mate. Hope you have a good time.
YESSSSS!!!! I love your fnaf summarizes Dawko!

Can’t wait until the next book comes out I have shivers
Kinda weird that the guys who made it went through with sending it, though…I mean, there was a delay due to a production anomaly, that meant that they noticed it wasn't right; what did they do, try again and get the same result, realize the kid had sent human hair, and decide, "Well, he must have done it on purpose, I mean, how do you accidentally get human hair instead of cat hair?" Come to think of it, that is a valid question if you don't know the context…maybe that IS what happened…
obviously there's some sickos behind fazbear ent. , what actual company would do that
“The next episode… sea bonnies??”
Top 10 moments before disaster
Very short and awesome book! Also Jackaday sounds like a very cool name.😎
Edit: my theory for the pet or Jackaday is there is nothing with him. Edward only looked on the outside instead of the inside, playful side. Looking on the outside instead the inside can really make you scream, but you should only look on the inside.
Dawko back again for another book summary! These things keep me alive man!
The moments I've been waiting for.
Can't wait for the prankster.
I think of it as a cat who wants to play, but it’s an animatronic and it just happen to have a dead human face yak
but honestly, that picture of the friendly face hiding in the bushes gave me chills, so unsettling.
I think a better name would be friendly face because that’s the name of the product and as this is a combination of both then that fits( at least for me )
Dawko you are absolutely amazing don't forget that ❤
YES!You finally got the book! Great now i can enjoy your amazing story telling skills
Jackaday could have dug out and reburied the pile/mound/hole as a cat would do before and after doing its business.
So cat digs out and refills it, walks away-struts away more like ^_^
Ty Dawko. Always enjoy the book review
You could be a saint in the fnaf universe (Trying to stop the hatred in the world, Standing up for people being bullied, Confronting people to tell them what their doing is wrong, Etc) And still meet an horrific end
I think that these stories that seem to have no connection with the games, actually there can be, these stories shows how advanced Fazbear's technology is
"You can be the nicest person in the world, but your gonna get hit by a truck"
-Dawko, 2021
i knew what the ending would be as soon as dawko said the cat just wanted to play.
I missed this man, thanks for all the effort you put into this Dawko
FNaF and Dawko: Bring a pet back from the dead
My mind: *Pet Cemetery*
I love your book videos, keep up the great work Dawko!!!
The hallucination discs!!! The ones from Sister Location! Don’t forget about those
YOY I love these your voice when you read these is calming.
Dawko: *Doesn't play the 'Oof' when he hits something*
Me: "Wait, that's illegal."
