Do you know what? Technically, Colton got what he wanted. His body acted as a barrier, so the little kids didn't get as much tickets as before, but if an older, taller person jumped for tickets, their weight would probably be able to sink the platform right into Colton's body, so they would get more. It's really ironic.

I never understood why Colton doesn’t just steal the game console when he’s in Freddy’s after hours instead of tampering with the machine
I think its because he thinks that stealing the console would be wrong whereas rigging the machine would be making it fair to him
People would probably notice that the console is gone, and they'd probably get police and stuff to find fingerprints and evidence
well he'd have to keep it a secret cuz his mom, cousin, or someone else woulda probably seen it in his possession and figured out that he stole it
Because to Colton that would require being smart, lord knows we wouldn't want anything like that to happen in the story.

The name "Ticket Pulverizer" hadn't really clicked for me until Colton realized he was trapped. I actually let out an audible "oh no". The way that these stories flip perspectives at the finale really helps bump the horror and eeriness of these endings for me. Thinking back to "The Breaking Wheel" as well, not being able to get a first-person account of the terror forces you to envision how these events are playing out from this new outside perspective. It's an extremely good way to execute these endings. Thank you so much for these summaries, Lewis!

I feel like this story is another weird alternative re-telling of the Puppet. Both the Puppet and Coils seem to have been 'Security' devices. Coils was clearly acting in a way to protect the kid, just as the Puppet was intended as well. And if the puppet got possessed by a child it failed to save, then its not unlikely Coils was possessed by a child it failed to save.
And both animatronics,cried tears after the death,(Puppet when she gets possessed by Charlotte and Coils after the death of Colton)

@Sweet “What in the Goddamn?” Tea Not sure about that one. If Ennard does indeed have the same story as the game universe, then he didn't exist before the scoop, only for a short while. After the scoop he most likely discarded his mask, and kicked Baby out letting Funtime Freddy in control. Funtime Freddy seems too psychotic to help Colton, and if Baby was never kicked out, Baby only wants to make her father proud (unless she's possessed by someone else in this universe). It's also likely the mask would be lost so they couldn't use it (unless coils has a different mask, just based on Ennard's or clowns in general).
So, if it is true that Coils is Ennard, the story must be a lot different to the game universe. What kind of timeline do you propose?
Perhaps Coils is the "fixed" version of Ennard who was destroyed and Baby used his mask. Perhaps it's just another animatronic and not related to Ennard at all.

I know it was said in another comment but, Coils was trying to save Colton and was sad after he realized what happened to him.
Also, I think Colton may have possessed Coils. Here’s my reasoning: especially with the ending, Coils’s face somehow changed in the end. Not only for Ted but, Aidan noticed to. Also, when Coils hugged Aidan back, perhaps that was Colton being remorseful.

Poor guy. I lost my dad 3 weeks ago to covid 19 and I absolutely feel him. My sadness didn't turn to hate and anger but just regret. I regret not being with my dad and not doing everything I could for him. It's different for everyone but it's always hard.

This has amazing similarities to Lonely Freddy, where Hazel wanted to get the plushie for Alec and he was so mean to her.
This literally parallels every story where a Freddy’s is open. There’s bits of Lonely Freddy (like you said), Step Closer, Hide and Seek, and Gumdrop Angel.
I immediately thought of a connection to lonely freddy when I saw the title because there was a ticket booth in that book as well

A lot of these stories are Lonely Freddy like.
The one time a night guard at the location would actually be justified, and nobody to be seen. As for Coils, I feel like he was partially possessed when trying to dissuade Ted from jumping, because Colton was still alive at that point, despite being pounded like mochi, although he was clinging to life by a thread. If they checked under the now aptly named Pulverizer instead of stomping on it some more, Colton might have survived, albeit in crippling condition due to severe cranial trauma. At the very least, it's likely that his body will be found once the technician checks under the "hood", provided there's anything left to identify.

This reminded me of the security puppet minigame in fnaf 6. As Dawko suggested, Coils could be a security animatronic, making me think about *security* puppet. If we think about it, Puppet in the minigame is designed to protect Charlie, maybe Coils was also trying to help the protagonist pulling him out of the machine. Both Colton and Charlie died and maybe Colton possessed the animatronic that was supposed to protect him the same way it happened with the Puppet. Also, the detail of Coils "crying" at the end could also support this theory: in facts, Puppet in the fnaf 6 minigame has no tears, while, as we all know, in fnaf 2 she has the two purple stripes under her eyes that look like tears. Both Puppet and Coils were "happy" at the start and both became "sad" after being possessed.

I like to believe that Colton has possessed Coils. Like, that is the only reason why these gruesome stories don't completely *crush* me. They can live on, and possess anythin' and the scene where Coils hugs the little brother Aden made me cry.

Colton mentions that the the machine and the animatronic remind him of a Greek tragedy. Describing its two faces the overly happy one and the overly sad one with the tear reminds me of those theater masks. You know the ones that represent theater the one that's of white mask with a huge smile and a white mask with a huge frown.

Colton: "Go away kid I'll do it myself"

Colton getting the console wasn't the end goal. It was to have fun. If he bought it with cold hard cash, it wouldn't be as satisfying as using your skills and smarts to get it. DJ Sterf could just press cd+ and win fnaf or watch someone else win it but spending days learning how fnaf's code works and planning a strategy then using that strategy until you win is much more rewarding then watching someone else even though the same photons hit your eyes. So I hope this makes colton's actions make more sense.

The way how coils’ face was able to change reminded me of how sunnydrop can somehow change his colors and turn into moondrop
After Dawko said it was the most gruesome death that he's read in Fazbear Frights so far, my brain tried to pick up any hints on what it could be. While he was explaining the jump for tickets mechanic and how the platform lowers by jumping on it, I thought, "Oh no. The main protagonist is going to somehow get slowly crushed to death." I haven't reached the end of the video yet, but I'm hoping I can finish my breakfast before I get to the gruesome part.

I thought it was gruesome and those squishing and crushing sound effects you added made it more so and the ending actually made me cry a bit. I think Coils might be Ennard before he became well Ennard. Like the mask he wears was from a porotype or spare animatronic of Coils.

In all honesty, as soon as he entered the pulveriser, I knew either Coils would start jumping on the platform or he would be trapped and kids would start jumping on it. It appears that it was the latter.

Personally I like to think that when coil puts his hand on carton's shoulder it was a feature were the animatronic is comforting a lonely child and when coils pulled him out the machine it was a safety feature so a child doesn't hurt themself

I have so many different things to say on Colton's flaw in thinking when things weren't going his way. I would've thought once he realized he was stuck, that he would've re-tightened the platform so it wouldn't be so loose. He was panicking with claustrophobia at that point, but still. I'd think his will to live would outweigh that, though in the story it seems like he didn't take that into consideration until it was already too late.
Also, I'd think Colton would just try to get tickets out of the arcade machines. I've had malfunctioning arcade machines before where the employees simply open the ticket feeder, put in more tickets, and get the machine to dispense them. He'd need a key, though I'm not sure if the employees would take those keys home at night or leave them in a staff room. Maybe he would've seen that as stealing instead of what he probably considered, "Making it more fair," with the ticket machine. He's likely deemed it as unfair due to what's happened in his life, so he's projecting that onto everything.
Even then, at that point he was breaking into the building and tampering with equipment, which to me is more punishable than just snagging some tickets. Not that I condone stealing or anything; I'm just analyzing the decisions he made to end up where he did. Of course, when you're obsessed with something, your viewpoint becomes skewed. So if anything, they accurately portrayed what it's like to be a disgruntled young adult.
I do believe that Colton has possessed Coils. Maybe this story is to show just how fast an animatronic can be possessed? That, and don't climb into arcade machines, especially without other people knowing.
I definitely think he felt the ticket machine was unfair and he was, on his kind, trying to make it fair by un-rigging it. Less so him cheating, and more, in his mind, stopping everyone else from cheating, even if unknowingly so. I agree it was stupid of him, but he ztleast haf some moral principles he stuck to, even if they were stupid, so props to him on that I guess?
This is definitely one of my favorite stories, I love the idea of jumping for tickets instead of grabbing them out of the air. Also, Coils’ description almost fits Ennard in a way, could this be him in the Fazbear frights universe??

That can’t be, cos technically Ennard’s “origin story” begins when Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy, and Ballora merge as one.
Maybe in a parallel universe (such as this), yes, I suppose, but Ennard was never a separate entity until after what went down in Sister Location.

This animatronic sounds a lot like a fully made Ennard imo-
This story kinda ties in with the origins of the Puppet in the games. Before Charlotte dies, the Puppet was a security animatronic and did not have tear streaks. After she dies, the Puppet ends up getting tear streaks. The Puppet also has no idea what to do but follow its programming, which is why it ends up going outside in the rain.
The Fnaf hype is warming back up after a half a year of dormancy, and it’s about to go nuclear 👀
It's interesting to me how there's no malevalent force in this one trying to 'punish' Colton, everything happens directly because of his terrible decisions.
Ennard possibly being Colis the Clown, could be hint in the gameverse possibly ( I know the books aren’t but game but here it is). Ennard could possibly be an animatronic in a Freddy’s generation, who was used to be an animatronic that was planned I guess,… and I would assumed that Ennard was scrapped for being part of the gang and was possibly scrapped and his mask was seen in the SL facility lol!

I can get why Colton didn't just steal the console since that's something people would notice is missing, but why not just steal tickets from the machines? It would also work for making kids said since they wouldn't get any tickets if they were all removed.
Coils honestly tried so hard to save him. Tried pulling him out of the machine and then trying to warn everyone before it goes horribly wrong
This is one story that gave me actual chills at some points! Though it seems like maybe Coils was actually trying to stop Colton before it was too late, it's still a FNaF story so that description of Colton hearing Coils jingling behind him as he enters the building was so unsettling to me. And though we've had many gruesome deaths at this point, hearing about the kids continuing to jump while only we the readers know what's happening to Colton in that moment put a pit in my stomach. I think part of what makes this one so terrifying is that unlike being replaced by a fazgoo clone or being turned into a living gumdrop, getting caught and crushed in a piece of machinery could absolutely happen in real life 😬😱
I have a really hard time reading, so getting a summary of the book with your voice is awesome.
very gruesome ending but a brilliant story overall interesting concept of the location not being haunted and sad ending for Colton being crushed to death
10:30 to 10:58 I understand that Colton’s dad dying would be heartbreaking but that's no excuse for wanting his cousin, who not only is nice but *is a small child* to feel pain.

And Pizza kit is literally about Marley "Falling" into a wat of tomato sauce and payton literally falls of the roof*
So coils is a good guy? He tried to stop him from going in, and he wanted ted not to go inside to not crush him more and was also sad when ted got in
As soon as Colton went under the platform, I knew exactly what was going to happen to him. I wasn't entirely sure how he would get stuck under there, but I knew he was going to be crushed by the kids jumping up and down on the platform.
A small part of the things you should learn are:

I actually quite enjoy this story! However, I think that Coils actions before the accident is one of the more interesting side of things. Coils reminds me of the story with Security Puppet. Security Puppet is "aware" of the location of the child given the green band right? Security Puppet is sentient enough in programming to open doors, and follow the child outside in the rain. The puppet is then possessed right? Could this not be a retelling of that story in a similar matter? Coils could be programmed to patrol the ticket booth, and surrounding areas. That would explain why Coils is active in the day, and not at night. The ticket booth is not active at night, therefore, Coils would not need to patrol the area.
Colton possesses coils now? Well that's messed up
Just from the name, I would think Coils the Clown was Ennard since he's a clown and all the wires might coil around the endo skeleton.

He could’ve have simply make the Jumping thingy more resistant so his body wouldn’t have gotten crushed by the children by the platform thing. That way they would’ve have found him safe

The part when you said that coils was going to toss the tickets it reminds me of a chucky cheese’s reference were chucky tosses the ticket and the children catch them.
Fun fact: for the last story in the 9th Fazbear frights book, Pizza Kit. On the back of the book it says Marley’s best friend goes missing but it’s actually Marley who goes missing and also in the middle of the book, we’re in the perspective of Marley’s best friend but then instead of writing her best friend’s name they write Marley so there was a few typos with that story
I mean if we’re being real here if this wasn’t a Fazbear Frights story then Colton’s first plan would have been pretty clever and he’d probably not have any repercussions.
