The shops are available here in this Borneo state of Sabah. It's a grocery shop with food and drinks machines that you can buy and eat. They have a corner where there are chairs and a bar to eat your food. And cappucino machines! Afraid you won't find anything like this in the states, the United States that is.

Depends where you are but yes 7-11 is present as are the Japanese origin stores Lawson and FamilyMart
