Posters cost to much to ship in tubes via USPS? Try this to ship wider posters via 1st class rate

I went to ship a 6oz, 22" wide poster via 1st class mail via usps and found it was over the limit with the tube and cost almost $12. Really? Another trick is you are allowed to up to a 22"x18" package and still pay the 1st class rate, so with a smaller diameter tube(mine is a little large), and a large piece of cardboard or a padded envelope, you should be able to a 24" wide posters via fist class mail, just by putting the tube inside of the envelope at an angle.
