FAQ's:
Q: I cant switch between Legacy/CSM and UEFI or switching didn't help.
A: If you cannot find how to switch the setting in BIOS or if switching did not help, then reinstall the Operating System (OS) as seen here;

How To Install Windows 11: • How To Install Upgrade...
If the install is successful, we know the issue was OS related and is now fixed. If the install will not complete, perhaps its due to the HDD being bad. I would then replace it and install the OS to the new one.
Q: What if Windows does not install and keeps erroring out?
A: If Windows won't install correctly, then we know that the Hard Drive is bad. Replace it as seen here; • How To Replace Asus Co... . Then, install Windows onto the new one.
Q: Will changing those settings in BIOS erase any data?
A: Changing those settings in BIOS will not delete any data from your hard drive :)

I tried these suggested solutions and it didn't work.
I left the computer on until the battery ran out of charge and turned off on its own. When I got home, I turned on the computer, but it didn't work.
@@Immuslum If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; ua-cam.com/video/YBhsVHideGE/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/HpabvrNaodU/v-deo.html. You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement.

@@ilovemanlegs5598 Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty.
After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Hey man I have an asus ga502du. Been gaming on it for quite a bit. Never had an issue. I have winaero Tweaker installed and been installed for a while. I have disabled windows update so no update has gone on for a while. Im running windows 10.
But I used the laptop unplugged this morning and then went to plug it in upstairs, and it restarted. And it was stuck in the restart loop with the ac power cord plugged in. Without it plugged in, it runs, but it VERY slow. Much much slower than it has ever been. It wont clock above 380MHz and its usually 2.8GHz. Its almost as if its in limp mode. Other than getting a new power supply, what other solution can you think of? Especially given that the computer wont clock anywhere near its normal?
In event log, it doesnt really show anything of use other than an error that it shut down unexpectedly.
Thank you so much ❤

Hi have been watching some of your videos and they are very helpful. I checked viewers comments but did not see any with my issues. Here is my problem. Mom's Asus E403S Laptop. Barely uses it and when she does email and maybe some internet. Tried starting up the other day and it will NOT go into the Windows 10. Screen says your device ran into a problem, PC did not start correctly. Then starts collecting information and begins a self repair but the auto repair fails. Tried restarting and the same happens. This laptop is Intel Pentium CPU 3700 @ 1.60 Ghz. There is no HD, it has SSD. Went into the Bios settings and the clock was off. Corrected the time settings and now a few days later the time and date is still current but the same start up issues persist. Tried internal Windows reload and saving existing files but that also failed. Any further suggestions? Just trying to avoid computer repair shop and costs that would not be warranted for this laptop. Thanks Klaus

@@PC_Monkey I do need to go into Bios to find Repair/Recovery options. This happens automatically when I boot up the laptop. No liquid spill, overheating or anything like that. The issue is Stopcode Bad_System_Config_Info or something like that. Appreciate your assistance.
My system date is wrong. But oddly, when I change it back to the correct date and time, and then f10 to save and exit, only the DAY won't get saved.
That could mean that BIOS is not keeping power and the settings are being reset. I would try a factory reset of BIOS. If that fails to help, I would consider replacing the CMOS battery

Hello, thank you for your videos. My old Asus x442 have bootloop and random shut down problem. It only works well in safe mode without internet.
Already tried chkdsk, dism restorehealth, sfc scannow, etc via cmd but nothing works. Boot loop also happened when i tried clean boot. System restore's not doing much.
I tried to reinstall windows 11 and finally downgrade to windows 10, but the problems still persist and got even worse (bootloop while trying to load bootable usb and reinstalling windows).
Now I can't enter windows in normal mode anymore (luckily set boot option to safe mode before random shutdown occured). I can do basic designing/image editing in safe mode for hours. OS and my data (including design application) located in separated hard drive.
The ssd status for C-drive is healthy. Reseating RAM is not possible because it is soldered to the mainboard. Already done windows memory diagnostic and there's no problem detected. Fan works normally and already reapplied thermal paste too.
Every time i check event viewer after bootloop/random shutdown, usually it is error distributedcom and the latest is error service control manager.
Is it software or hardware faulty? Does it have a chance to be fixed and work normally like before?
Thank you, and sorry for my broken english.
If a new install of Win10 didnt help, perhaps the HDD is failing. I would try to replace at this point and see if that helps

Hello there. Hope you can help me out. I have an Asus ROG (the same you used as an example).
When: I was browsing on the internet and when I logged into a website the pc started freezing (cursor would not move and keyboard not respond) and then unfreezes the screen (cursor would update position but clicking to close the tab would not work). This kept happening for a couple minutes, so I bashed CTRL+ALT+DEL and the screen eventually went all black with cursor displayed. Waited again for some time and nothing happened. So I forced shut-down.
What: On restart it kept asking for disk repair when the asus logo appears with a countdown. I let it. It did it many times - stuck on the loop. Eventually I forced shut it down again. When starting after that it displayed a different message at the asus logo phase: something like diagnosing the pc and then a disk repair message stating it could take an hour. It kept doing it overnight and still did not work. I shut it down again. Then I went into Bios. There I saw that there is no Boot Options displayed, but on the Advanced tab on the SATA configuration page both my drives are displayed (1SSD + 1HDD and the DVD as well). Regardless I tried the reseating method.
And now I am stuck at BIOS. It won’t even go to the ASUS logo phase.
When I enable CSM and rebot a message is displayed: “Rebot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key”
What do you suggest. My SSD seems okay since it is found on Bios. I really would like to try and preserve my installed applications and configurations.
Thank you in advance.

@@PC_Monkey 1. Once a blue background Windows screen appeared with many options - including repair - and with one being “Continue to Windows 10” which I selected. That’s when it changed from doing about a minute loops to the one with a message “this could take an hour”. This screen never appeared again. Other than that there is no repair option on BIOS. My laptop is an ASUS ROG G750JM - the same you used as an example and I didn’t see any on your video as well.
2- Nope. No liquid spill. No overheating (was just browsing on the internet). No update was being installed; unless there was any on the background.
Got it finally. After watching several videos I realized my boot partition was corrupted. Using the cmd on the recovery tool using a usb windows bootable media I could see that my boot partition was as RAW instead of FAT32 like most videos deal with. Eventually I found one that shows how to rebuild the boot partition from scratch - deleting the partition, reformatting it, and readdressing to the windows folder.
FINALLY!
Nevertheless, thanks for the help.

No. It and the RAM can still come loose easily
What if water spills on it
Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty.
Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?
