Love these Modern Classics, I only have my Lancer Evo 6, 3000GT, Prelude and 300ZX for now.
NIce set...I wish the BMW was in white not liking the shade of blue but, still a nice car. Great looking Porsche More front and back details on the Mercedes . Thumbs up on the set.

Nice to hear they will be adding more detail next year. One of the reasons why I have stayed away from the last two sets. I just didn't feel like the quality was there for a premium set. This last batch for 2017 looks decent though. There's a couple I want from it.
Awesome set! Those rims on the Benz were actually used by Porsche on certain racing models
also fun tidbit... the deco for the Renault is a simplified version of what was supposed to be the debut of the casting. no, the 2013 Boulevard, while was the debut for the public, was not planned to be the debut. it was supposed to debut in 2012 Racing.

I'll get this set for the Mercedes 190E , the Renault 5 Turbo and the '92 BMW E3. Not that the Porsche 964 and '85 Honda CRX are slouches or anything, but it's strange they used the old style casting for the CRX, just to save a bit of metal. The artwork is exceptional, the cars _look_ like real photos. These Car Culture sets are getting better and better. Can't wait for Japan Historics Vol.2 !
I'm gonna be getting about half a dozen 190Es as I find them. I wish the wheels were darker, dunno if it's your display or not, but they look green. I think I saw on your blog, some black 6 spoke wheels, they'd look better on this casting IMO, if not, make the wheels darker.
Does that crx have the engine in the trunk like the other one? Never understood that.

This second year of the Car culture series has been such a blast, and it ends with a bang. That Porsche though :)
Glad to learn that Hot Wheels will be cranking up the details with next year's series. It has been my main complaint and it is cool to see they are listening. Probably due to the fact that this series seems to be a success, maybe?
As for the Mercedes beating the UCC version... let's just agree to disagree.

The 190e is sitting outside of my house but in in Mercedes silver it is a great car and I will be looking for it
I think this 190E and the Skyline R34 from Entertainment series are going to be my two favourite models of the year. Absolutely beautifully done, full details and RRs. What more can you ask for? As for the rest of this set, I love the 964 and M3, both of them are great. Couldn't care less for the Renault or Honda as I feel the castings are a bit meh.

Tell ya, you're doing what I'm going to do..just build a nice case and put my collection in..I'm never going to sell them..so I'll put them back n a nice case and if I ever have grandkids , I'll pass it on.. hopefully it will be on an antique show 30 years from now

Benz 190E is the best car in this set but that CRX is making a case. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would be.
How much do those cars cost. I know they are not normal hot wheel prices.

FatalStriker 13 none, HW make tons of each car and there is 2 of each car per case. Thats why scalpers don't snatch up these and you can always find them on the pegs

Don Rowe usually there's always one car out of the whole set I never find like the Camaro from the redliners set.
are there a Honda Accord ever made?
Johnny lightning did a mid 1990's era accord and majorette made a early 80's accord, also tomica made a accord hatchback but those are really hard to find
still disappointed with the CRX.

Not happy with the BMW. I like the Renault the best. I pickd up a hw 10 pack only because I wanted the crx flat black with red yellow and green stripes, green hilighted rim and red plastic base. I think it would look better yellow like what the card shows. That Benz looks more like a 500 sl......
190E is beautiful casting, now they release 787B, it's kind a miracle... so glad I didn't buy the tlv model of 787B... way overpriced
the 964 needs a whale tail.... seriously.
The Mercedes' headlights aren't correct…They should be thicker…You can compare to the artwork.
The front looks like W202 (1993-2000,C-class)more.

Also...i think the Porsche is better than the Merc....plainly cause the Porsche brings to the table the red interior which breaks the dark it has going....where as the Merc doesnt
The new fan blade wheel set I see. Three of the 5 have them? Variety no? Can we please get front and rear tampos on these? For 3.99 it should be there on all castings. I love every car culture so far. big fan but these are My gripes here.
1. BMW should have been white and too much blue because of no head light tampos
2. A more stock looking CRX would be cool,not digging the wide body kit on it.
3. The porsche is perfect. But then again you seen one 911 youve seen them all. Porsche is all over car culture. Would be nice to have something else.
4. Renault is garbage. I mean we as car people know about it, but most have never even seen one in person. Especially this model here in the states ( 1:1 that is)
5. Mercedes EVO is Amazing. The right color and the right wheel and will be a hit!
