Hi Guys! Have just realised the final couple minutes of the video has been cut off 😫 I will re-upload the video but this will take a little while. Sorry!!
Hey guys. I’m not usually one to comment on videos. But I enjoy your videos as your just a normal family. Not trying to push or promote things down our throats.
You are also the reason I agreed with my wife to buy a robbo for our family of 6. Just keep being you!!
Thanks Tony!! Great choice in camper 😉 Hope you and your family love getting out in it as much as we do. Such great campers. Thanks for watching and your support, we really appreciate it!
Thanks for the wrap up. I liked that you actually did stuff and had content each week. A lot of lap people can't afford to visit or participate in activities that cost money, because you were on a "holiday" you could. I also like that you don't expect us to buy you a beer or a coffee every week. Keep enjoying your time travelling whenever you can. Making memories
Thank you Cynthia! Yes I guess sn advantage of being on just a holiday means you can do more experiences, it would certainly add up if you were on the road full time.
We can't wait to share more this year with you, thanks for watching 😁
What a bloody epic trip! You could always just add the second video as a 2.0 and keep this one to save the views (&$) 😉
Thanks guys! This will be you soon! Yeah just in the process of just uploading the final few minutes, for some reason Premier Pro is having issues rendering the full video? Gotta love technology hey 😁
Hi guys
Love the content, it comes across as it is meant to be! Down to earth and easy tips for us newbies to towing camper trailers etc.
Cheers
Thanks for the kind comment mate, we really appreciate it! Thanks for watching 🍻
Thankyou guys what a great rundown on the trip with down to earth answers to peoples questions loved your answer about going to a caravan after living in a van for a few years camper definitely wins hands down
Thanks Leigh! And thank you for your question too 😊
Yeah we are still team camper all the way. No doubt this may change in later years but many more adventures to come in the Robbo first 😀
Awesome review on the trip. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate!! 🍻
Thank you, guys, enjoyed your trip watched every presentation and loved travelling along with you and the enjoyment you gave me and others, thank you so much, and happy travel for the future.
Thanks Stephen!! We are so glad you have enjoyed the series, we appreciate your support! We look forward to sharing more in 2024 😊
Again… great video and great people
@@zarkoavram9167 really appreciate the support!
What a brilliant informative video we just loved it not to mention how much we can relate to everything that you said about enjoying the moment and how living the moment with family is all you need plus just taking your time.
Time is unfortunately the essence to travel, if we just had an open book that would make it all perfect but that will come in due course, well that’s our future plan anyway.
After our nearly 9 month trip it’s definitely so priceless we wish it never had to come to an end, how we could just keep going and never get sick of this lifestyle ♥️
How you think about everything so differently to how big our country really is and how many wonderful camp locations that are out there.
How the small materialistic things are all that you need making you realise that a house is nothing when a house on wheels provides so much more.
Happiest we have ever been ☺️
Not entirely sure how you managed without a caravan though but Cameron and I did chat about how over the years we’ve definitely have changed our setups that have taken us to so many special place and now provides everything at a flick of a button for our family needs.
Great to just pull up with no setup, our comes the step, flick on the sat, set up the starlink and bang its all done ✔️ We just love it
Sounds like you have the Robbo setup exactly to your family requirements and only you will know when that needs to be changed.
We have so loved watching your family travels to the point that this starting recap gave me goosebumps of extreme happiness for you all and how you are all feeling right now.
Enjoy your trip away, 6 days will never feel long enough but hey at least we are both still out there enjoying what we both love to do and that’s just plain old camping 👌✨😍
Thanks guys ❤️ yep travel really opens your eyes and your mind to so much doesn't it. We look forward to the day we can get back out on the road fulltime, but in the mean time the little trips here and there will keep is going. Can't wait to watch more of the amazing trip you all had.
@@RoaminintheRobbo cheers guys way more to come.
What an awesome vid mate- thank you ! This has reinforced a few things as well as showed me a few new things that will help in our new found travel adventures.l
Thanks Tony! Glad you were able to get something from it 😊 Happy and safe travels mate, thanks for watching! 🍻
Thanks for the wrap up guys. You've got awesome memories to look back on which is more valuable than anything. Looking forward to some new adventures when your able.👍
Thanks Lee! Absolutely! Worth every cent, the memories we all have for life now are priceless 🧡 can't wait to share more with you soon!
These two episodes are very well presented. A feeling as we are sitting opposite you both having a chat & a cuppa. We do have a full off-road van that has done the Gibb twice with its original owner ( she was late 60's at the time) so we have a wealth of info at hand from her & you both. Food wise!,Yes, we do vacuum / cryo-pack as much as we can before hand. Admittedly we have a 218 fridge freezer in the van & twin 40 litres in our cruiser. One is day drinks, the other a freezer. With regards to emergencies, your trip highlighted the need to "Be Prepared" . No-one thought you'd need the RFDS but indeed you did. We ( everyone) who follows you wish you all the best in 2024. You trip encaptured my wife's & my attention by starting on the Great Central Road. A great desert way of getting home to QLD, for us. Maybe Len Bedeall's Gary highway might be an adventure worth considering in the future. Very do-able . Jupiter Well has agreat camp site, but the highway crosses the Canning Stock Route at Well 35. A real adventure. Short cut from Alice Springs to Marble Bar. So along with the Plenty Highway, a great way for us QLDers to get to the Pilbara. www.caravancampingsales.com.au/editorial/details/travel-gary-junction-highway-59975/ Travel much, stay safe.
Thank you Max! Sounds you and your wife are well prepared and enjoy exploring this beautiful country we live in also! Thank you for the suggestions of more places for us to add to our ever growing list of places to explore 😁 yep you certainly never know what might happen so best to be prepared for anything.
We really appreciate you watching and coming along on our journey with us. We look forward to sharing more with you in 2024. Take care and safe travels!
Just watched this video quite a good breakdown of your travels and little snippets of ur adventure 😂
Thank Myra! It was nice to look back on all the footage and memories when putting it together 😊
Great recap, great trip, and thanks for answering my question 😊😊. Looking forward to Steep Point !
Thank Robyn! And thank for your question, sorry we amended it 😊 can't wait to share steep point with you 😁
A long time ago when we did a lap, we gave up home schooling about 3 days in! Now the kids who were primary school age when we took off are grown up, my view is it made no difference to their education.
This episode was a great wrap up of the your trip which I really appreciate being able to follow along via your channel.
Thanks.
Hehe can absolutely see why!!! And totally agree the kids don't miss out at all, we really saw the kids flourish on this trip. Cameron went from being so shy and quiet to when we came back he put himself forward for a house captain position and got chosen for this year. He would have never done that before! These sorts of things are life skills which are just as important. Thank you for all the support and following along on our journey. We look forward to sharing more!
Nice wrap up! Thanks for answering my question about the food. Good information. Looking forward to your Steep Point trip. 🥂
Thanks Kath! Your welcome, thank you for sending in the question 😊 we leave tomorrow for steep point, can't wait to be back in the Robbo 😁
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the wrap up of your fantastic trip. Just a quick suggestion regarding food. We find flat bread (wraps) a lot easier to pack and stays fresher compared to loaves of frozen bread. We look forward to your next video.
Thanks Graeme! Yes you are absolutely right, wraps are such a great option. They save so much space. We do also carry wraps for lunches but I should have mentioned Cam is obsessed with toasted cheese sandwiches, so unfortunately we need to carry bread also. Will be so much easier when he doesn't want them anymore 🤣 thanks for watching guys!
Hi Craig and Miranda great wrap up on your 18 week trip and all of the footage looked amazing. Good job Miranda on the editing of your trip. Anyway look forward for more travels from you and maybe catch up one day on the road. Oh good to see you at my nieces bday the other day. Derek.
Hey Derek! Such a small world hey, so nice to meet you the other day. Thanks mate, hopefully we cross paths again soon on the road. Thanks for watching!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Was so cool looking back on all the amazing spots you saw 😍 It was quite the trip!
Thank you! It was such a trip down memory lane going through all the footage again 😊
bravo-how stunning !😯
Thank you!!
Interesting to hear what the costs of doing a trip like this are these days. We went round starting in 1998 and took 5 years for a lap and a half (we worked our way round). I really don't think we could afford to do it now. Nice to have those memories though. The one thing I really wish we had went we went round was some really good camera gear. The footage we got was all rather poor but it is better than nothing.
WOW 5 years that would have been an amazing trip! Been you have lots of amazing memories 😍 the camera's have certainly come a long way haven't they that you don't even need something all that expensive to get good footage. But there is something about looking back on older footage that is really cool though too. I love watching our old family videos that my dad took on an old handheld video camera.
Good video. In regards to the cost of your trip, you should take
into account your normal food costs at home and also what you spend each week in fuel. This makes the cost of your trip more realistic. Dad xxx
Thanks Dad! Yes that is so true, certainly helps the numbers look a lot better 😁
An amazing and very informative video guys. Thank you and well done ❤
Thanks guys ❤
Wow $9k on fuel, that is a bit painful. Looks like it was an amazing trip. Seems like I have a lot of binge watching to do :) Loved hearing about the 'Don't go that way' inccident. LOL so many times I did the same thing and never get to live it down.
Yeah not going to lie the fuel bill did hurt a bit 😂 thankfully we have some amazing memories now to take the sting out of it! Hehehe take one wrong turn and you never live it down 😂😂
Hey legends really loved the break down of the trip, thanks for that! A question I've got for Robbo's that have been in the NW on the coast. During the typical WA winds in the dry season, Does the Robbos walls flap?
I've got a young family and that is something I wonder about whether it would be enough to keep them awake...
Was it ever an issue for you guys?
Thanks mate! Yeah unfortunately a downside to campers trailers is the canvas can flap when you are in windy conditions. We have been in some pretty windy conditions with the camper and there have been times it can wake you up. I don't recall a time though of not being able to get back to sleep because of it or the kids complaining that it kept them awake. So I guess it would come down to how light of sleepers you all are. Thanks for watching 🍻
Best ever xx
🥰 thanks Myra!
Was a absolute pleasure watching this series really enjoyed it are you’s guys going to bring out some patches, where a bush chook shirt and don’t drink a bushchook beer shame shame shame hahahahahahahaa
🤣🤣 funny thing is we actually had some chooks in the fridge, what an oversight!!
Thanks mate we really appreciate your support, thanks for coming on the journey with us 🍻
We looked into patches prior to our trip and then it went by the wayside, need to look back into that 👍
@@RoaminintheRobbo cool I’ll be your first buyer
@Podge. thanks mate you have spurred me on to look into them again!
Well, lovely to see you back, happy new year to you all. Awesome opening music choice BTW, which makes me ask the question which one of you is the creative editing genius? Your videos are so well produced it must take an age to do each one.
Happy new year to you Moike! I, Miranda, do the editing and yes it can certainly be time consuming, but has been fun to learn new skills. Thanks for the kind words re: the editing it is certainly a learning curve 😁
I should have waited to the end of the video before I asked that question LOL. Are you also the one that chooses the music because your choice is always perfect. For some reason, many traveling 4x4 type channels seem to think we all want bogan music up loud LOL. Perhaps your talents are being wasted as a TA, I could picture you running your own video creation/editing company, DaVinchi Resolve, it's powerful, it's free but even the pro version is way way cheaper and a one off purchase. Tons and tons of tutorials online both from DaVinchi and YT.
@@moikehunt8928 😂😂 all good! Yeah I am the ones that does the music too, that probably takes the most time to be honest as it is so hard to find something that suits the mood of the footage but is also something that is hopefully appealing to people to listen too. I really appreciate the kind words Moike but I don't think I should give up my day job 😂 Yep definitely need to look into Da Vinci resolve, it has just been a case of being too time poor to learn another program so have just kept with what I know, but I am determined to swap over very soon 😁 YT is the best for learning these programs hey, makes it so easy!
Really enjoyed your intro and the down to earth chat with us all about your experiences .
@fleurneumann8430 thank you Fleur!
Would have like to see a map, and your root, because its hard to follow where have you been..
That would have been a good idea, sorry mate didn't think of that!
Hello guys, I hope anyone reading this is having a great day!!😊😊(read my next comment)
