- A very enjoyable evenings session spent at Kensal Green station situated adjacent to the West Coast Mainline and serving trains in the London to Watford D.C line as well as the London Underground Bakerloo line where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway, London Overground and London Underground.
The station was first opened in 1916 following the completion of the newly electrified Watford D.C line, the station was replaced by the current one in 1980. Bakerloo line services started running trains to the station once it was opened but had been running trains through the area a year previous.
The station had gained national interest when sadly in 2006 Thomas ap Rhys-Price was murdered on the station following a successful mugging. At the time the only security measures taking place on the station were CCTV as the station itself was unmanned. The ticket barriers were also left open which mean the criminals could freely access the station. There was a huge public outcry and political debate for station safety following the incident which demanded that the station be fully manned at all times until the final train had left the station. At the time he station was operated by Silverlink.
My next film comes from a very windy Sandy.

Fantastic video Jarred. Love the West Coast Mainline and know this section of the line well as I live a few stops away in North Wembley. The Bakerloo Line trains have a great character about them. Keep up the great work 😊⛅
Thanks very much, this is a great area of the line to come to because of the amount of variety that you get. I imaging during the rush hour it would be even better here
Great video! I love the amount of different traction at this station as well as all the other London Underground stations that are alongside the WCML. Keep up the great work.
Thanks very much, this area of the WCML is great to come to as there is always something coming and going, during rush hour it wold be better as I think you get some freight traffic
10:42 quite impressive stop I could not do that myself being on the london underground for 14 years!
Another Fantastic Video here Tornado922! I Really enjoyed this :)
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
Tragic history... Shame! Nice to see some Tube Trains. 38013 leaves a big Gap to mind. Plenty CCTV here now, damn. 38123 barely out the tunnel. Still though, she looks shady as a station. I like her. Cool, calm work here, nice job! P.S. Awesome sparks in this light ;-} B.P.
It's a shame that the major point about any station is due to a murder, but I guess it gave the station better security to prevent such things from ever happening ever again, this was a great one to come to and one that I will come back to later this year
You're right! Tragedy always is the fire to make those in power move, even when they know such events will come to pass they will still wait until. B.P.
Excellent video Mr Tornado. Love the commentry 😂
Thank you kindly :)
Brilliant video as usual, really enjoyable including lots of sparkage. As you said in the video an excellent station to go to. I also have some news for you. One of the TPE 68s namely 68028 has been named "Lord President" what a fantastic name that is. I look forward to your next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, this was a great station to come to. I'm a sucker for some good spark action on the third rail :)
Absolutely brilliant video.
Thanks very much :)
Good video. Lot of London Underground on the slow line. I guessing it’s a poplar line.
all london underground lines have trains every 2-5 mins
Not really popular it's just because LU lines are genuinely very frequent. And then combine it with the LO as well.
Really like your videos
thank you for saying so
Great video thanks for sharing
You're more than welcome :)
Excellent video have another 🍺😀🇬🇧
Thanks very much :)
Ohh I love a good wcml video! I know this will be good =)

Hey bud how have you been? Long time no speak. I'm glad you enjoyed watching this!!
Thank you
You're welcome
london underground bakerloo line trains are the 1972 stock trains
"I hear noises"
"I see noises"
Ha, nice.
There'll be plenty more of that I can assure you
@@Tornado922 Excellent, that's what I love to hear. I appreciate the change to 1080p and keep up the awesome videos!
and great video tornado
Thanks very much
Another good video, pity the vegetation couldn't be cleaned up along the line.
Thanks very much, it would have been nice if the vegetation had been removed. Maybe next time I go there it would have been sorted out
The numbers on the front of the tubes are that's train's diagram working - each train has its own diagram - comes in handy if control wants to know what train is doing what!
Ah right ok, I'm sure someone has told me before but I have completely forgotten haha
Underground, Overground........Wombling free.........
The Wombles of Wimbledon common are we.............
Any word on if or when Bakerloo rolling stock will be upgraded or replaced? The current stock is 1973 which I believe is the oldest active stock still in regular service on the whole Underground.
At this stage I haven't got the faintest idea as to when that stock will be getting replaced
i will miss the 72' stock when they go
Same. They've got such a great character about them and have been a part of my life since childhood as I live a few stops away from Kensal Green in North Wembley
In be go if one day you went back to Kensel green and there new London underground and overground trains
The video was great but the London underground tube stock needs a spruce up
Thanks very much, the stock does look a bit tatty in some areas
