Hi Philip. Amazing inspiring videos you make. I love the possibilities with the shape~ and function driving sequencers, but how to make the timing go backwards on the sequencers as you mention around 9 minutes in.
Hi Philip, wicked video! I'm wondering how you could use the ramps/signal created by the twist to control the pitch, rather than using the sliders to control the pitch. Looking at the scope after the selector, this could then create the pitch increase you get with a bouncy ball as well. Thanks! Jack
absolutely, supercool idea! one way to do this would be to patch the output of the selector~ into a scale~ object that maps the 0. - 1. output range of the ramp to a sensible MIDI note range (e.g. 40 - 64).
Would love to see how you’d build a sampler engine around phasor/transport. I can share a Node script I wrote for max that recursively makes a list of sample paths to all audio files of a directory which is dragged onto a drop zone.
yeah i've been meaning to do one on how to make a simple drum machine-style sampler. i did one in RNBO that works ok. maybe it would be fun to do a two-video series where we do a drum sampler both in regular max and in rnbo and then compare would love to see your node script! you can post a link here or send it in discord ntrm#3099
@@p__meyer I would love to see a way to scrub through longer samples with phasor. Imagine the playback is determined by the curve, so if you twist~ it you would get a tape start or tape stop effect?
Excellent video! Thanks!

still adore this series! How about exploring function->shape~ for swing applications?
coming up after our discussion in discord : )
