I don't mind an 80/20 blend.
It's the 50/50 stuff I stay away from. I'm trying to move away from plastic in my day to day life as much as possible.
I don't even want to imagine 50/50. 100% cotton or wool. Polyester is soooo horrible.
@Morgan Illsley well I'll admit that Synthetic fibers are great for sweat management that's why under armour is so effective when digging ditches or playing football. Wool is effective at sweat mitigation also but it costs way more. The only reason polyester is so common as a fabric is because it's cheap to produce.
I consider myself to be an emergency preparedness person. I look at things from a SHTF perspective. So I consider being inside a burning building or vehicle as the shit hitting the fan. If I'm head to toe in North Face and Columbia poly clothes and everything is on fire, that stuff will melt onto me. That is some nasty wound care to recover from. That's why the DoD won't allow soldiers to wear under armour. Cotton and wool catch on fire it turns to ash and falls on the ground. So I'm all cotton, linen and wool from now on.
I own lots of Dilson, but they are going out of sight in pricing, Johnson woolen mills is my new go to, and Stormy Kromer. Both made in the USA.

I have a pair of big bill pants 4 sizes bigger than me. I use them to layer with. I have a couple of pairs of wool pants that fit normal and then wear the big bill pants over with suspenders. Really warm when I do this.
WOW! 4 sizes too big..I Love it!. I won't even rock thermal underwear unless it -20 or colder!!!!

My big bill I machine washed there softer and Warmer with the tighten of the wool before had to wear long John's now I don't did Shrink a half inch or so if use 501 Is shrink to fit scale work out fine

I have the Big Bill 100% merino wool pants. With side pockets and cargo pockets. They fit big and long. Can be washed , will shrink some but then they are great. I'm in Canada and paid $125 for them 4 years ago. No issues and I wear them every weekend all winter. I checked out the$400-$500 and this year hitting $600 wool pants, but I just can't justify it. Good vid. Tough lighting. Good luck.

Ideal blend is 80% merino or cashmere for softness and warmth, 20% cotton or hemp for strength. Nylon sucks but it is tough, so my pure wool pieces fall apart much faster than my 80/20 wool nylon pieces.
I would totally check out a Wool & Hemp mix. That sound incredible!
