I just bought a pair of Opticon 1 and they are better IMO than KEF LS50 in almost everything except bass To my opinion at least, LS50s are overrated, I sold them I am a new Dali fan, the sound is energetic in a good way
@@sccanj I agree, the opticon 1 is more balanced and about €500 cheaper than the Ls50. Both of them are definitely far from my Rubicon, but this is a different price category.
I am looking for a pair of speakers to sound a 10m2 room. Today I have Klipsch Rp260 which I think are too big and the sound is a shot too high a shot too dynamic. Listening to your oberons leaves me speechless... I hesitate between the 1 and the oberons 3 with my Nad c326bee. What do you think?
Hi, the RP series with Oberon is of the same category. Now if you want to change...because of space....your floor RP260 with other bases, so as not to fall into a big difference in bass, I would recommend the Oberon 3. The Oberon 1 in terms of size and price are among the best in the category, the Oberon 3 are not, they have a lot of competition. your Nad is a good but moderate power amplifier, expect that your Klipsh with high sensitivity 97 db drives them much easier.
Thank you for your feedback, I am especially looking for a more balanced speaker. The bass of my RP260 can be too engaging and suffocating! This unbalances the sound. On some songs like Radiohead the treble is very aggressive. It seemed to me that the Dalis were more balanced! And compared to my 10m2 of listening room, I thought that the oberon 1 could give me a balance. I had heard in a living room small speakers with a 10cm hp that were surprising bass.
listen carefully.. that means the sound is maybe 10% better. I can honestly say that the crossover is really terrible for the price. for example, wharfedale looks good inside as well. Dalí Oberon looks very good on the outside but inside it is simply unacceptable. the crossover is the heart of the sound.
@@KevinRusnak-ig8gl : ok, can you tell what type of wharferdale that can compete the sound of oberon 1 and with the same price (more or less).. my room 3m x 3m. my choose now : oberon 1, spector 2, elac b6.2, q acoustics 3030i. need advice.. thanks
the speakers were much better if the crossovers were of better quality. For a price of $500, higher quality is expected. the sound is very poor. no offense . there is a lack of resolution in the sound. I can't put Oberon. For that price, I prefer wharfedale, Klipsch, q Acoustic, Mission,..
Haven’t tried Spektor or Oberon but I just bought a pair of Opticon 1 and they are better than KEF LS50s (old model) in almost everything, except bass I say LS50 because I had them for 3 years Better definition and vocals than LS50 without the fatigue
@@sccanj everyone likes something different . I have a wharfedale Evo 4.2 they have a very good resolution, the instrument section is great. there are people who hear a very bright sound and think that they will hear much more detail, but that is not the case. wharfedale for example is very dark but has a much more detailed sound. Yes, Dalí Option is better than Oberon, but competitors offer better sound.
I had Spektor 2, just before them the standfloor Sensor7 ... you cannot get wrong with DALI, you receive a lot more than you pay
It's exactly like that

Spektor 2 sounds ten times better. Much more transparent, live, detailed and better stereo image.
@@Jil8840 You are right about the specific video, but it does not apply to Live. The Oberon speakers are higher
And thanks for uploading this video! I am looking for bookshelf speakers and I think I am going to spend some more money and buy the Oberon.
Both have balanced sound, Spektor 2 sounds a little harsh on top end, Oberon1 sounds less distorted and clean

Yes, oberon 1 will play very well for your space
Thank you, I will order a pair and try it out. I will give you my feedback
Spektor 2 more natural . Oberon more emphasis on bass and treble
Spektor seems to be more emphasized at the extremes, a little more sparkly and fatter bass. The Oberons are probably more correct.
I have the Denon 600 amp,, ate the Dali's good pair?
2×45 rms is not very strong, but I think either of the two pairs will play decently.
Almost same sound performance because almost same drivers and Crossovers. Just Oberon’s mid bass driver has SMC technology. Thats all.
@@v-twinchannel3978 It's not the same. You can tell by listening closely. The Oberon seems to be a more expensive speaker.

the sound is good but for that price the competition offers more. unfortunately

Oberon has clearly better bass and little bit more detail in mid an high,
And I listened with good headphones, Sony WH1000-XM3
just like that.
Also I noticed more separation of the instruments 😊
В наушниках audio-technika AD 2000 эта разница так же очень хорошо слышна. 😊
here Dali definitely wins in quality
Which of the two do you like better?

Oberon 1s are superb little speakers more balanced than the Spektor
