Spektor 2 more natural . Oberon more emphasis on bass and treble
Both have balanced sound, Spektor 2 sounds a little harsh on top end, Oberon1 sounds less distorted and clean
Good. Zensor 1 upgrade😊
If you can for a bigger upgrade go to oberon 1🙂
Hi, what is your first choice between Dali Rubicon and Audio Physic Tempo 35 for musicality, soundstage, transparency and lifelike vocal presentation? Thank you.
Hi, to be fair for the comparison we have to choose the Dali Rubicon 6 The A.P tempo 35 has no competitor in detail, impressive transparency, especially in strings. Rubicon, without impressing anywhere in particular, does everything almost perfectly. More homogeneous, more musical "sweet" voices. Different sound, both very good...it's a subjective matter what everyone likes. * Physic need more "currents" from amplifiers to perform at their best.
Spektor 2 sounds ten times better. Much more transparent, live, detailed and better stereo image.
@@Jil8840 You are right about the specific video, but it does not apply to Live. The Oberon speakers are higher
Transparency improved after burning Pre1?
@@vbabitsful The music scene improved, the needs, the bass....
have you tried using the built-in preamp in the dac8? does your system sound great, is the sound output from the TV TOSLink? but it begs to be tested r2r DAC, I'm thinking of buying musician taurus or denafrips ventus. in the sound of dac8 I don't hear any bugs delta sigma chip

Hello I have a question. What are these speaker stands, what brand Best regards
@@StanisławStanisław-i5d Hello, these bases are specific to the Audio Solutions Overture 0322B speakers I'm glad if I helped
Can the Dali Spektor 2 speakers play well with a class A amplifier by JLC 1969 10x2 watts?
@@abin3475 Although they are not very sensitive...84.5 db...I think they will play, I don't consider them "difficult". With an old kenwood amplifier from 1983 2×65 w they play very well. Class A, however, is different.
Is this without a sub?
I don't have a sub
Dali musical, klipsch bright.
Spektor seems to be more emphasized at the extremes, a little more sparkly and fatter bass. The Oberons are probably more correct.
Is that a big difference compare to spektor 2. In my country oberon 1 100$ more expensive then spektor 2. Did 100$ worth it?
About €150 the difference in my country. I think it's worth it for Oberon 1
What amp are you using for the speakers ?
Final power Bryston 4b3
@@Chris-rk5dd Damn just checked hella expensive
I love dali sound,i had zensor,oberon and now i own Opticon 2 mk 2
Amazing sound quality✌️
here Dali definitely wins in quality
Which of the two do you like better?
@@Chris-rk5dd Spektor 2
Bel suono. Come l'hai registrato?
From you tube
Nice.
i wonder how they would perform with more mainstream music, not the hifi songs. would be awesome if you make a video
are you happy with them ? can you tell me your experience.
the speakers were much better if the crossovers were of better quality. For a price of $500, higher quality is expected. the sound is very poor. no offense . there is a lack of resolution in the sound. I can't put Oberon. For that price, I prefer wharfedale, Klipsch, q Acoustic, Mission,..
Haven’t tried Spektor or Oberon but I just bought a pair of Opticon 1 and they are better than KEF LS50s (old model) in almost everything, except bass I say LS50 because I had them for 3 years Better definition and vocals than LS50 without the fatigue
@@sccanj everyone likes something different . I have a wharfedale Evo 4.2 they have a very good resolution, the instrument section is great. there are people who hear a very bright sound and think that they will hear much more detail, but that is not the case. wharfedale for example is very dark but has a much more detailed sound. Yes, Dalí Option is better than Oberon, but competitors offer better sound.
How is the bass, not too much?
Very good. It really depends on what amplifier you have
Klipsch is active speaker right?
@@yohanessuherlyas1201 "active"; do you mean highlighted? Yes it is, but oberon is more complete
Almost same sound performance because almost same drivers and Crossovers. Just Oberon’s mid bass driver has SMC technology. Thats all.
@@v-twinchannel3978 It's not the same. You can tell by listening closely. The Oberon seems to be a more expensive speaker.
listen carefully.. that means the sound is maybe 10% better. I can honestly say that the crossover is really terrible for the price. for example, wharfedale looks good inside as well. Dalí Oberon looks very good on the outside but inside it is simply unacceptable. the crossover is the heart of the sound.
the sound is good but for that price the competition offers more. unfortunately
@@KevinRusnak-ig8glYes, the effect of the sound that reaches our ears is important, and each one as he judges it
@@KevinRusnak-ig8gl : ok, can you tell what type of wharferdale that can compete the sound of oberon 1 and with the same price (more or less).. my room 3m x 3m. my choose now : oberon 1, spector 2, elac b6.2, q acoustics 3030i. need advice.. thanks
I have the Denon 600 amp,, ate the Dali's good pair?
2×45 rms is not very strong, but I think either of the two pairs will play decently.
Hi nice sound Have you tried something in the bass reflex in the back ? like just a clean sponge for instance It can reduce the bass ringing ?
Yes, I've tried it. And on other speakers. Sometimes it works, sometimes not accordingly
Disregard the last post. I didn't read the first post.
What's the source you are using to demonstrate your Bryston? What is the model number on the Triangles?
Chris Would you recommend the Klipsch R-51M for a turntable ?
Why not? It is important that the whole system is of close value and performance
in romania dali oberon it's has 2x price...
Same here ..
And thanks for uploading this video! I am looking for bookshelf speakers and I think I am going to spend some more money and buy the Oberon.
Oberon has clearly better bass and little bit more detail in mid an high, And I listened with good headphones, Sony WH1000-XM3
just like that.
Also I noticed more separation of the instruments 😊
В наушниках audio-technika AD 2000 эта разница так же очень хорошо слышна. 😊
I had Spektor 2, just before them the standfloor Sensor7 ... you cannot get wrong with DALI, you receive a lot more than you pay
It's exactly like that
I just bought a pair of Opticon 1 and they are better IMO than KEF LS50 in almost everything except bass To my opinion at least, LS50s are overrated, I sold them I am a new Dali fan, the sound is energetic in a good way
@@sccanj I agree, the opticon 1 is more balanced and about €500 cheaper than the Ls50. Both of them are definitely far from my Rubicon, but this is a different price category.
Dali better for jazz? Klipsch better for hard rock?
Very nice. I have a Cayin MT-12N EL84EH integrated amp and it's pretty sweet. I just got a Willsenton R8 this week and I'm really enjoying it also. I am afraid I'm now addicted to tubes, lol.
Perfect sound! Do you use a subwoofer ?
I don't have a subwoofer
Which Cayin amp is this? Sounds great 👍
Cayin A-100T
Impressive sound demo. The response and tightness of those drums sound amazing. Sounds like the high-pitched slap might be coming from djembe. Very cool 😎
Hey Chris what is the Power Conditioner you are using here please ?
Hi, do you mean the multi-bridge filter? If so, "Tsakiridis Devises Hercules plus with filter
Sounds awesome
Hi, I have the same Rotel preamp right now. Would the Lab12 Pre be an upgrade? Thanks
Hi, Rotel has some technical + comparative... its integrated dac is quite good, optical fiber outputs, adjustable bass and treble, etc., and of course, as you know, clear and detailed sound. But the Lab has all the characteristics of the lamp..., better music scene, bass, "sweet" sound. It's what everyone wants, so for now I'm keeping both of them. If they told me to have only one, it would be the Lab12 since I already have a very good dac
@@Chris-rk5dd I see, thanks!
I'm looking at the Tempo 35 and the Triangle Antal 40th speakers. Both sound great. If the Tempos were a 10/10 where would you rate the Antal's in comparison. The Antal are great value.
Tempo excels in "purity" with each instrument-voices having their place in the musical scene, without being influenced by their neighbors. Strong bass that you wouldn't expect from the size of their cabin, but it's a little difficult to position them for the ideal. The Antals play more "manly" I would say, with fuller-warmer voices...bigger midrange? ... and easier to install, having the bass reflex in front. It plays a role and what kind of music you listen to the most to choose....and the price difference for sure. Having heard a lot of the Audio physic classic 35 compared to the Antal 40th ... of twice the price..., they also played very well, but I prefer the Antal, they seemed more "mellow" to me. ....Perhaps due to auditory habit.
@@Chris-rk5dd Thanks Chris for your response - it's very helpful. I'm trying to shortlist floorstanders. I have PMC's Twenty5 23i on the list and I might try hear the Focal's Aria 948 and some Borresen speakers but they are not cheap. Have you ever listened to oen baffle speakers, like the Pureaudioproject Duet 15?
@@pweston1970 have heard the PMC twenty 5-26i and I was impressed, but they had a very expensive price and I couldn't. I imagine that all 5 23i will be good, but with less bass. The Aria 948 are large speakers, you will have to check your space. Listening to them in comparison...I finally preferred Triangle Antal 40th, I liked them better.
@@Chris-rk5dd Thanks again. I'll definitely audition the Antal 40th. Considering going to the Munich Audio Show to hear some more floorstanders. All the best.
Thanks Chris, great sounds.
I live in Cambodia where it is difficult to access a wide variety of brands and almost impossible to audition before buying. Right now I'm thinking about the following as my working short list: Dali Oberon 3 Audio Solutions Overture O322B Audio Physic Classic 3 QUAD Revela-1 Monitor Audio Silver 100 Amphion Argon 1 PMC Prodigy 1 KEF R3 Meta (Prices on those models are not as far apart, given my situation, as they would be if I lived in Pittsburgh.) Use-case as follows: Almost exclusively "hotel bar jazz" -- mostly trios like Oscar Peterson and Tommy Flanagan and Bill Evans and Cyrus Chestnut and Beegie Adair. Low to unusually low volumes. Frequent off-axis listening. Room is poured concrete, about 3.3m across the front, 8.5m deep, with full length, full width curtains front and back. Front end is a Hiby R4 DAP, operating in full class-A. Amplification is an SMSL AO-300, which sounds surprisingly terrific for a $300 all-in-one class-D amp from Shenzhen. Subwoofer is doable but not presently in-hand. So what do we think -- does one of those speakers leap off the screen as the obvious first choice? Or leap out of the running as an obvious mistake? Low sensitivity and/or tricky impedance loads seem like a bad idea in this application, for a start.
I have only heard...except of course from his two videos...the A.Ph. classic 3 and PMC Pr. 1, which have a close, clear and detailed sound. I didn't like the Kef r3s that much for the price. Since you also have candidates for the €2000 Q. revela 1, I would tell you to also look at the dali rubicon 2
@@Chris-rk5dd You won't believe this -- I'm not sure I believe it myself, really -- but I can get the Oberons but not the Rubicons. My purchase would have to be through a Thai version of Ali Express called Lazada, and they have the ones on my list but alternative choices are conspicuously catch-as-catch-can.
Greetings... listening to the recorded video on UA-cam is still far from our in-person experience. What would you tell me about the purchase? Did you find the O322B better? Have you ever heard of the Starke VB61?
Hi, yes, the O322B sounds better...a "bigger" speaker in everything..., however, it also costs twice as much. You tube is definitely not the best source, but a good dac improves it a lot if the recording is also good. No, I have never heard of starke, nor do I think it exists here in Greece
