In this video, Ace Live hits the streets of Medellin Colombia to document a day in the life of local Colombians and how Colombia has moved on from the days of Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel and ends up meeting an interesting Colombian woman documentarian who invites him to a Private art gallery to showcase the Colombian culture.
In this video, we tackle certain stigmas and stereotypes about ing to Colombia by giving people a sense of real-life reality as opposed to Fantasy and sensationalizing life in Colombia

As a Colombian, I am always defending the country against all these stereotypes, I lived in New Jersey for many years, and trust me that there are a lot of areas in Jersey that you do not want to go to if you are a tourist.

Hi Ace, I’m a Colombian living in Medellin, I grew up in Cali and also lived in Bogota. I like watching videos of travelers visiting Colombia, because I find it interesting to understand their view on our country, but I’ve got to say something… not all are as willing as you to show the truth without judging or jumping to conclusions. I feel you do try to understand the culture out of respect and give some real advice to future travelers but always finding what we are really about… and we appreciate that. This was one of your best videos about Colombia. You should go now to where the Monaco building used to be, there’s a small park built as a tribute to the victims. Something else... you are more than welcome here. 🇨🇴
The art gallery tour within this beautiful house was especially delightful. I'm an architectural historian and judging by the video (without seeing a floorplan) the house used for the art gallery is in the Spanish Hacienda style. This style of architecture is based on the ancient Roman Peristyle house with the living spaces surrounding an outdoor garden. The outdoor covered porches, which also surround the garden, are used as a device to connect the interior and the exterior. The Roman Peristyle and the Spanish Hacienda architectural styles were developed for "interior security" since the surrounding living spaces also serve as "walls" to protect the occupants. The Spanish Hacienda architectural style was developed in the old Spanish colonies (the Southwest U.S. and Latin America) from the 18th to the mid 19th century. During the 1920's-30's there was a Spanish Revival architecture movement (perhaps this historic house was built during this time period). Incidentally, the Roman Peristyle and Spanish Hacienda architecture styles (along with traditional Japanese architecture) influenced the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and other modern architects who merged the interior with the exterior (thereby connecting humans to nature). Thanks for the video and art gallery owner who gave us the tour was quite charming!

Love the video! Very inspiring and heartwarming this is the type of content and videos I like especially when it comes to Colombia to show another side of Colombia than what people think or thought of Colombia. The Gallery scenes of the video were my favorite because I like art and I love the energy that the artists put into their work to be able to showcase it at the gallery and I also like the energy of the lady who owns the gallery and how passionate she is and how passionate the artists she talks about are when watching the video I was thinking about Bogota street art and graffiti noticing that Colombia has amazing artists and I would love to meet up with some them in the future to know more about them and their art but overall this was phenomenal video and I appreciate the work you've been doing Ace and love it!

I’ve been learning Spanish at university and have learnt about the history of some South American nations like Colombia about their history after gaining independence from Spanish rule how different ethnic groups influence the music, language etc there’s so much to learn! Another excellent video showcasing Medellin as it is nowadays. The visit to the Art Gallery allowed me to see samples of Colombian art. In the square in Medellin you see statues of the great artist Botero whose pieces are amplified. People are humongous and he chose to highlight things about Colombia. Congrats on focussing on the essential life of Medellin.
