- In this video we go over some mechanics regarding gold and net worth. We talk about things like the difference between reliable and unreliable gold, how net worth affects buyback and death cost, and how certain items interact with net worth like Gem, Rapier, and consumables.

Yes please go over kill streaks etc! Great educational videos, love them!
Yes, I love to see itt too
Well that's a nice tip for me as a support. If I don't farm and die it would do less damage than farming and dying. Great tips as always ❤
Thanks! Now it makes sense why supports dun farm in pro games.
They do in pubs though, cause the games are easier for them and they want items to carry their rando pub team to victory.
U can farm and expend it fast....
Thanks! Now it makes sense why supports go jungle after a death 3 minutes into the game avoiding enemy hero’s and team fights like it’s the bubonic plague
Smh this is not what he was saying. Not farming available creeps is always a bad thing. Just spend your unreliable gold before you die..
Please do go over the kill streak and other gold related information! And a big thanks to you for introducing this side of dota to us!
I knew everything, except that I can now calculate my networth just multiplying loss gold by 40. Thanks
Remember lost gold is not the same that you give as bounty. You first would have to remember the gold you had right before and after you die.
The Saksa shard deny was Hilarioooooous!! Glad to enjoy it again 😂
He is doing it not because it was worth it, but because he doesnt want his networth going too high due buyback cost can make or break the situation. Sometimes having too much networth can be a problematic because the buyback cost on cores can make them defenseless when war comes.
I still remember back in TI8 when Ana sold his items because he know he will die and he need gold to buyback against LGD and his move was paid by winning the game 4 (LGD was winning with 2-1 at that time and if they win that game, LGD become TI winner).
Old Marci shard was so shit it was better to not have it lol
Yes we also watched the video@@hartonosutrisno5452
@@kingofboos_4468 care to explain what it does?
Nice video! And yes please make a video about how kills/... work with networth!
no time wasted! best channel ever. keep up the good work
I would love to have a comprehensive video about that
good content as always
I Always learn something new with ur videos, thx mate
Niceeeeee videos brooo! I always wait for your video!!!!!
We definitely want you to go over it
Great content!
great video, subbed
I am uncertain if explaining kill streaks is even worth it. It changes quite frequently.
can we get a video about last hitting catapults on anything related to them? sorry if I asked this already
Thanks for the video. I need a detailed analysis of how gold works in the game please.
Cool vid I learned a lot!
Nice video thanks
Bad mic, good video. Thanks for the explanation!
Very Good Video
Adrian spilling Pro Coach Teams secrets POGCHAMP SHEESH!
Hey, congrats on your new mic. Sounds much better. Now where is that Arc Warden video we asked about? 😅
the traditional and more accurate breakdown of the 2 types of gold are reliable does not go away if you die and unreliable can.
its really helpful to underatand how much you need to buy back and save money before dying.
thank you
I mean, that number was always visible by hovering your gold tho. And is even common to ping your gold to share your buyback status.
Reliable gold used to be way different. It was introduced in 2010 in version 6.68. Prior to the patch, IceFrog posted a blog titled 'Aggression' on the playdota forums teasing the new Phoenix hero and a new mechanic: reliable gold. Back then, reliable gold came from hero kills. The idea was to incentivize ganking by making hero kill gold more reliable compared to passive farming gold. It would stay this way for a decade until 2020, when reliable gold was changed to come from passive gold and bounty runes. This totally flip-flopped the design gold of the mechanic; now, it was a buffer to help poor support heroes hold onto some cash when they die.
4.5k hours of dota and i dont know anything about this mechanic. Please make a video about the kill streak❤
Thanks for this content bro. Is certainly gold. Just because bring light into very important but evaded matters on the game, wich makes an almost entire community to crush their heads trying to climb their mmr without even knowing How everything works in such complex and beautifully difficult game
i played dota for so long I don't even notice there is reliable and unreliable gold
Bro, after watching your videos, I feel like I just finish a PHD degree class
Thanks! Wait, so when buying a new stack of tangos and you still have one tango left, you should lock combine it to reduce your net worth?
Thanks
Do the killstreaks and xp mechanics :D
Wouldn't mind seeing a video on gold from kills
We want more
Worth noting that both phiosopher's stone and kobold aura are the only ways in the game to boost the reliable gold income.
the moment u picked up enemy item, they could've already buyback and screw ur teammate with their big black hole
Go over other stuff too bro. Like kill streaks
want to know about the streak length until now i can't know that
dota more complex and stressfull than i know
This made me miss saksa on the pro scene 😢
saksa ma boi
Okay, now tell me the logic of me having buyback when im dead, but when i respawn after not using it. I need 500 gold to have buyback again?
Probably because you gonna loose this 500 hundred if you die again? (Game counts total gold needed, cost of buyback and gold loss if dying)
because of death cost
You didn't lose all unreliable gold last time you died, so next time you die you lose more gold. 500 in this case.
So now you are 500 short for buyback
I thought this video was gonna go over kill streaks and bounty good for kills but good video either way
more pls
According to the wiki, Gem of True Sight doesn't change owner when picked up by someone else, meaning that it can only affect the buyer's net worth. Is this wrong?
So we should save up reliable gold in late game ?
Oh, I always thought gold you got from killing heroes was reliable gold. Good to know it’s not!
what do you mean rounded down in buyback ? is that how many times you dead ?
what if u buy ton of dust right before u die, then sell it 2 sec after?
Kills and kill streaks, please! Sometimes my 1 3 support gives almost the same amount as 5 0 enemy mid and I don't get it.
You forgot to include the most important part about this… having more reliable gold is more important and cheaper for buy back as opposed to having no reliable gold and unreliable gold.
For example if I have 2k reliable gold, it’s almost the same as roughly 3.2k unreliable gold. One could have buy back with less gold
League players say their game is deeper.
Dota players : yeah ?
how long does time need to pass after someone land a hit on u before u suicide to the creeps so that the kill belong to the creeps instead of the enemy player that jz hit u?~
you didnt included the bounty jinada steal.
Oh i was wrong it must have gotten changed to unreliable at some point
If we kill the enemy but he doesn't lose gold, whose gold are we taking?
what if i buy sth before i die and then sell it again when im dead...
How many times I saw noobs just let their net worth compounding without spending anything and always wait until the gold is enough to buy the whole combined item, and when they are killed as usual, they lost a lot of gold.
Mmm yes i love dota science
NEED
Midas gold is Reliable gold, it's a pretty important part of a midas/
Did it change? Im pretty sure midas gold was reliable gold, and kills too
Nice way to find out ur networth if you don't have dota plus haha
iirc midas gold and kill gold used to be reliable gold
MORE
I love u❤
💸🤑
😇❤
30 fps video?
0:51
Bro u didnt cover gold gained from killing , jus covered gold lost when dying. I assume it's not the same
2:14 You can't drop Rapier tho
You can drop it if it has been dropped multiple times. From you to enemy to your team.
you can if you bought it
YT algo comment
btw League of Legends players can't comprehend it
We
Pretty sure midas gold is reliable
Im so glad i play league and i dont have to think about my networth. Wtf is this shit bruh
