Indoor pool for me, Sam makes compelling arguments
Indoor if it's a lap pool, otherwise outdoors.
The pool in the video was in the UK & I can tell you that literally nobody has outdoor pools over here unless they only want to use them for 2 months of the year if you are lucky!😂
Enclosed outdoor heated pool with removable windows, so in the summer you can remove the windows and use it as a screened in pool, and during winter put up the windows, and turn on the heating in the pool
Love seeing Sam in front of the camera!! We need more Sam! 🔥
22:00 never would i have expected someone to walk into a chain hotel "fitness center" and go "i need to bring this home with me"
I hate it, I think that looks awful, it looks so out of place, like the dude is building a mini mall in his basement.
Always good to see Sam in the videos!
Team LIGHT!!!! 100% White light in the blue spectrum
Give me more room to move. All you really need is barbells, adjustable dumbbells, a squat rack with pull up bar, adjustable bench and a dip station. My gym is cramped in a small bedroom. I envy anyone with more room.
Thank you, coop, for the fantastic idea-more of this themed episode.
Love these, hypeeeeee!
I am team light, but it can be in a basement, garage or separate structure. Doesn't have to have windows, but it does have to have enough light that simulates sun light at a minimum. My home gym is a shed gym with power and heating / cooling.
Team #indoorpool
No weather to worry about. No leaves to rake out. No sunscreen needed. Perfect temp.
As someone who train Crossfit. It's def more room. There's a lot of hacks you can do with monkey feet, bands, rings etc. for small body building movements, but you can't replicate room for sled pulls/push, bear crawls/handstand walks, etc. Just my 2 cents.
Agreed. The ability to do walking lunges, carries etc is an enormous upgrade.
Outdoor space for those things, get a wheeled sled
@@avinashtyagi2 which u still need room to push and pull. I live in a suburban area, and I have a yard and a garage, but we take for granted that not everyone does. Room is still a more premium commodity, imho.
@@terrencego4562 well with a wheeled sled, the sidewalk becomes your gym
@@avinashtyagi2 agreed. But not everyone has that luxury see.... not everyone has a garage that opens to the street. Some people have to keep their training in their apartments... and even if you get a wheeled sled, you need space to store it. You can get all the equipment you want, but ultimately it will need space for foot print or storage. I can have a pair of adjustable dumbbells,a pull up bar, and gymnastic rings, and get a great full body workout. Space will always have a higher premium.
Nice, some inspirational setups. Team Light! I've worked out in dungeons. Give me above ground sunrays and happiness. I also painted my power rack white to increase the happiness quotient, so there's that.
I'll take an indoor pool
My personal dream garage would be half gym, half golf simulator
In Scotland - Indoors allows usage, I am looking for a double garage to do my own gym. I have an outdoor pull-up bar, never used it in two years.
Loved the millionaire gym with an indoor pool. If I were rich, I would spare no expense on a gym as well.
Jesus loves you
@user-sv5db7zm3x If Jesus loves him, why doesn't he give him a million dollars?
@Avinash Tyagi ya, that would be great 😆.
Sam's always awesome on camera, fucking love that dude. He's one of the main reasons I watch!
Good vid 👍
I lift in the basement but I got big garage lights to make it really bright in there. I like it because it's comfortable year round, and I don't have to walk to my detached garage. I also have good windows so I get some natural light and I can get some cross breezes.
I'm also short enough to overhead press in there though, if I wasn't it could be a problem. No Olympic lifting though. I want to make something in the back yard for that.
Me as well. I walk down stairs turn right and I’m in my Gym. I love working out in the basement. I bought some cheap really bright lights that I have downstairs so its like being in a garage.
Getting out of that attic gym after leg day could be dangerous.
Try your local park it's free. Pull-ups, dips, rock climbing etc. You can go at night or early morning when it's empty. The equipment won't break.
what about legs?
@@aurelius5837 You can do Sissy Squats with a log or low park bench.
I love daylight while lifting. Even cancelled a membership at a better gym because it was too dark for me. Went back to my cheap crappy gym because of the daylight. Currently building gym in the garage, which has a huge window that looks out over my garden. Can't wait till it's finished.
Signature fitness with the drone skills
Currently I workout in 4x7 ft space, with 1 bench and 25 lb dumbbells. I have to wear a full spine sized belt to keep my posture correct while working out. Lost about 70lbs in a year. But now to lose another 30-40 lbs, I need more space.
Space > Equipment. High Ceiling is a must, would love to upgrade to Barbells with pull up and dip station combo.
Great Content 👍
Big sitka guy!! Love to see it!!
I have a outdoor pool I would give it up in a heartbeat for indoor pool.
Live in a condo, so a basement gym was the only viable solution for me. Like that i can workout in the colder months and not be cold. Also helps that I still dont have any kids haha
Definitely prefer light gyms to dark ones. I like to see what I'm doing! Been to dark commercial gyms in the last and hated it. Also, I tend to train early morning or at night when I'm at home and the darkness just makes me tired!!
Also, I'm definitely more equipment over more space right now, which is normal for a single car UK garage as they aren't very big! And I can do most of what I want in a 2x2m space. That said, hoping to upsize soon and will get more equipment, ut want more of a balance with space and equipment than I have now.
COOP ready for bow-season with that hat on XD😎
How is Sam's pull up challenge going?!
Size of space, equipment, and how much money you have all factor into the home gym equation. Space + Equipment - Cash = Quality or something like that if we were to make a formula for building a home gym.
Best video of the year
Team light. Makes my workouts feel holy
Indoor pool for the 24/7/365 access. Outdoors I'd want a comfy space to soak up the sun.
Move to a warm climate, get an enclosed outdoor pool, then you can have both
I have a basement gym but I do not want to feel like I'm in a dungeon. It's very well lit in our basement.
I miss these reaction videos.
I'm pretty sure that "drone" shot that looks like 3D modeling is real, but it was done with a 360 cam on a selfie stick. You can do all sorts of cool things with those. Cool gym tours.
make a compliation of you saying "gaaaaaaraaage gym reviews" lmao its goated
we need more GGR vids with Sam
Natural light all the way for me👍
Team Basement 🤘🏼
Sam is right, indoor pool makes sense especially in England. There is minimal sun and too much rain there.
anyone know what Hannah's functional trainer is?
Think about the indoor pool as another piece of cardio equipment.
nice!!!!!!!!!
Team natural light ☀️
I'm team light, for muscular definition purposes 🤷♂️
I'm also team indoor pool so I can swim year round. PLUS, I can heat the pool up and use that (with the ice bath) as a hot & cold therapy.
Indoor pool alllll dayyy
That was definitely an fpv drone 😂. Not a render
Team Light. And snakes and chickens and whatever else comes through the open doors.
Team Light! Open garage door all the way
Team outdoor pool, but that’s for relaxing. For fitness I’d go indoor. I would be willing to bet a house of that price also has an outdoor pool.
Sam's right! Indoor pool all day long!!
There is now an A.I available that can take a whole bunch of photos and turn them into FPV drone footage. I don't know if that's what that one short was, but it wouldn't shock me.
I currently live in a town with no gym. I am currently building up my home gym and am curious what you would consider as "must haves" for a gym for a person wanting to get into strength training/boybuilding?
I would recommend a PR-5000 with Ares attachment, and Bulletproof Isolator attachment. And good Adjustable Dumbells and Adjustable kettlebells.
And a cardio machine like a rower or bike. And a good bench like the Rep Blackwing.
That will cover most of your needs (around 95%) without having a large footprint.
Oh yes, one thing I forgot to mention, a mirror (not the smart gym, just a regular full-length mirror), it'll help you with proper form.
@@avinashtyagi2 Thank you very much for your response. I will check out your recommendations.
@@papadross You're welcome
If I had the money for a fully furnished basement gym and lap swimming pool you can be damn sure I’d also have an outdoor pool
As a swimmer indoor home pool is all I want 17:30
Basement life for me.
Sam is right, indoor pool all the way. Also if you really want sunlight, there are ways you can pipe natural light down. I'm surprised they didn't do that, plus you can still swim at night if you want.
Sam is 1000% correct on the pool. It's about training in the water not the sun.
Led lights cool in all but it’s difficult to see and sometimes bump into stuff. Natural light or bright white light are so much better.
Indoor pool!
Coop, what if Rogue came to you and asked, " we're in the concept phase for the Rogue Echo Bike 2.0. And we'd like your input." What would you include or take away for the new bike, IF there would be a new Echo?" Maybe make a series of products you'd improve upon.
Hope you see this.
The Echo Bike V3 was released a month or so ago... so maybe for the 4.
@Roar. see, I didn't know that. Thanks.
Team lighting
I’ll have both indoor and outdoor pool
Mid west indoor😊
Feel like I saw everything except for a garage gym
i liked it more when sam was away from coop because there were more camera angles, im glad sam can see the screen now though
You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it.
I truly believe the true winner of homegyms is Brian Shaw.
Both teams
I'm on team basement with normal lighting. I like normal light, but I don't want sun rays coming anywhere near my body.
Team light
Thanks for reviewing our gym! Glad you liked it💪🏼 (Markus.Stordal, basement gym) 0:57
The worst one for sure
Define would like more room to move than more equipment. Tough to lift if I feel claustrophobic
Coop just wanted slim Sam next to him so it would create the illusion that Coop lifts
Team light need to workout outside. If I my gym was in the basement I wouldn’t like going down there. I think it’s gross to sweat a lot indoors 😂
Team indoor pool and properly light gym
It would be funnier if they had rocks and concrete weights in the super luxe glass gym.
Team more room to move
My 0:03 DIY home gym helped me loses 140 lbs AFTER the age 45. AND KEPT it off….
I’d rather have a basement personally. I’ve only ever had garage gyms for the past 9 years and I’d love to try a basement out
Team Garage Gym, but if I had a basement, it would be in my basement.
Indoor pool please
👍 Silly... What's wrong with having BOTH an indoor pool and outdoor pool? Problem solved!
You know basements can have windows :P I'm In Canada and basement is way better for me, it's basically always 18c in there
More room
I’ve got a killer setup youd like
Indoor, Sam knows.
Indoor pool
no way thats a render lmao
Rm for activities and natural light but I’m in the basement so🤷🏽♂️
Why not both? If I was spending $10,000,000 on a house, I'd have both an indoor and outdoor pool.
You should challenge him to gain 20 lbs of muscle with the gym you made for him.
More room to move
Junk yard/ jury rigged/ DIY Build: " Do what you can with what you have where you're at"
Walmart Build: "This equipment SUCKS"
Rather have the minimum equipment and room to move
It would be great to see you review the Squatz Apollo Board. I'm thinking about getting one as it looks like a cheaper alternative to the Vitruvian.
They promise 365lbs of resistance, 5 years warranty and NO SUBSCRIPTIONS after purchasing the unit itself!
Hard to see the gyms y'all are critiquing
Who convinced coop to “quiet roar” the words “garage gym reviews”
It’s weird
