what to do if its leaking below that stainless steel collar below the compression fitting? my soap test confirms its not the threaded portion. is this a possible manufacturing defect or got damaged/punctured somehow? great tutorial thanks. ive installed numerous of these risers, but always honeywell brand being based in PNW Canada.
Why is this needed? I am running ARC resistant CSST from outside home through soffit into attic. Is this needed to put it through soffit? Just guessing.
Hi Nick, The Chicago Flex riser is used to bring the piping system for natural or propane gas above ground to feed a meter or appliance such as a pool heater, fire pit, grill, furnace or boiler. I would defer to the CSST manufacture instructions on how to install their system or reach out to a local code inspector.
@@sunbeltmarketinghouston2290 Thx. I’m having a licensed plumber do it. Not sure if he mentioned a riser. CSST will connect to galvanized from above ground tank into attic.
We haven't been able to find anybody who can supply 1" or 1.25" risers long enough to reach from bury depth to the top of a 500 or 1000 gallon propane tank. I think Chigago Fittings has them in their catalog but nobody seems to carry them.
