that's a proper range test. thanks for the info so you have the 60V29Ah battery (that gives 1.74 kWh). therefore the consumption is approximately 3.5kWh/100km. nice to know
I always thought my electric moped (other brand, not a NIU) was very efficient, because I hade no problem reaching 55 km in decent weather at full speed at 28 Ah, 60 V (1680 Wh). According to the label of the battery it's 60 V 28 Ah, but when I recently opened it I realized that it's actually one extra cell i series and one extra in parallel, that is 17 × 11 (I assumed 16 × 10) Samsung 29E cells, which adds up to 31 Ah, or 1945 Wh (min 2,75 × 11 = 30,25 Ah, typ 2,85 × 11 = 31,35 Ah or 2,85 × 11 × 3,65 × 17 = 1945 Wh). So with that in mind I realize that its effiency is just about the same as for most other electric mopeds.
My NIU M+ SPORT have 48 V, 31 Ah, 1488 Wh battery. Nominal power 1200 W. With high speed, maybe 40 - 50 km and with half speed 60 - 70 km. Calculator gave half of energy consumption, if speed reduced 45 to 35 km/h.
I don't know, but I ride all year. There are a few days every year when I take the bus to work, usually because of snow, but when the winter tyres are mounted, I'm back riding again.
Yea, I charge mine overnight so its not really a problem for me. And I only have to do it once or twice every week I'm using it. But I can understand that faster charging would be nice if riding longer distances and need to charge every day.
I'm having stock controller. It allows it to go between 48-50km/h full throttle. And sadly it autobrakes going downhill and speed goes over that. Maybe you can get it to roll in 55 if you let go of the throttle.
hello men how you doing. I recently bought nqi sport is really nice, today first time I bringing to the work. around 17 km. I spend until 74% but I turn it on later and shows me now 84% . why that's. happen to you too?
@@joakimdam9723 I got it for 27 000 SEK. Just trying to keep it clean and storing it in a cold garage away from the weathers. But I'm starting to see some rust around some small parts. Like wire holders above the brakes. I guess the Swedish winter was hard for it 😅 And also the paint on the rear swing is not of the best quality. Other than that it looks good.
@@captainflatspot cool man, i think it's a bit more expensive here in Denmark. So they use lots of road salt in Sweden at winter? They use lots of salt here in dk at winter
I'm considering getting one of these.. What would you estimate the range to be at constant full speed? I have a 36km mostly flat round trip on country roads that I would like to be able to ride at constant full speed 😊
@@captainflatspot I live in Norway and i just turned 16 and I really want a scooter that doesn’t use any fuel so that I can save money, so I came across this and I really like it. So I may want to buy this😄
@@mathiaboy0791 Thats nice. I use this to my work to save gas money as well. Luckily I only ride max 15-20km every day. So I only have to charge 1-2 times per week. I really like this one. The only thing that I think is bad is the paint on the rear swing arm. It's starting to get bad after only 1 year.
@@captainflatspot Oh, is that that something that could be fixed under warranty and how comfortable is the suspension on this scooter compared to others?
That kite dropping its prey moment at 2:15 was epic.

Thanks. Was fun to do this test. Yea that was the battery this one has.

Thank you very much for your great range test. It was really fun to watch 😊
Glad you liked it 😁👍 actually thinking of doing another one now when its winter and snow here in Sweden. Can be very different results I guess 😅
@@captainflatspot Oh nice, that would be great :D
@@captainflatspotdid you do a mileage test in Winter?

Very normal in Scandinavia

Hehe Yea I ride all year around too. But I think they meant the guy ski ing 🤣
I love these I just hate the fact they're only charged via wall socket they need to do fast charging

Super interesting video!
Thanks mate 👍
Great video! This is the two battery version?
Thanks. No this is the 2020 version with one battery (29Ah)
🤣🤣🤣 You made him dop his dinner. EVs make city or town commuting fun 👍🏾🏁✌🏾
Indeed I did 🤣 Yea its very handy to do some small shopping with. I have saved a lot of money getting rid of my car and using this instead every day.
Based on your opinion, do you think the bike handles well with 2 seater (with passenger). Comfortable for the passenger ? Good enough seat room ?
yea I gotta say it handles 2 people very good. I had my girlfriend ride it so I could sit behind and try it out. Worked good for what it is 👍
Do you have custom controller or does the limiter allow higher speeds than 45km/h?
I'm having stock controller. It allows it to go between 48-50km/h full throttle. And sadly it autobrakes going downhill and speed goes over that. Maybe you can get it to roll in 55 if you let go of the throttle.
How much kilometerd did you have on the counter when you started with this test? Because that also has an impact on the batteryforce

also say 68 km available. is that true or something is failing?
because it's suppose to have 60 km range max hehe maybe because I'm low weigh 😂
Hello. Maybe the weather got warmer during the day and therefore it gets more power from the battery. If its cold the battery will perform worse.
So it seems like its a best fit for small distances in cities/urban not for longer distances regularly
Yea, exactly.
hello, how long with mode 2?
I havnt really tested that. But I guess it will be about 10 kilometer more range. But Yea that is just a guess
Do you have 42a battery
How much is your weight, and how much less would it go in winter?
I weight 80kg. I think it would go about 10km less in the winter. I didn't tried the range, but that is what I would guess anyway.
@@captainflatspot cool thanks. What did you pay for it? Do you protect it for rust in any way

Yea thats propably the reason. A lot of salt. I bought this moped so I don't have to use my Yamaha FS1 in the winter 😅 getting rusty soo fast

In this video I got 51km in mode 3 (the fastest). I think at Winter the range would be about 40km depending on how cold it is.
@@captainflatspotThanks 😊 Was this constant 45km/h though, looked like it involved some city driving at slower speeds?
Yea pretty much. Only did a short run through a small city.

You can also get the Nqi long range

80kg. Sorry for late reply mate. I missed the notice

Scooter not moped
Tis a moped, bruv.
in the usa u call it scooters we call that rollers.scooters mopeds are the same in europe.mopeds are like simson and scooters are automatic cvt.

Does this moped require a driver's license?
only a learners license
Depends where you live but in most EU countries it needs moped license.
