Well done the two of you.. it is walking a tightrope coming back from injury.. not enough intensity and fitness suffers.. too much intensity and injury gets worse..Nicely controlled run.. all the best with future runs🤞🙂
Yeh your not wrong. It's definitely a balance. I'm really bad at resting though. 🙈 let's hope it keeps getting better. As much as I hate running I do miss it 🤣🤣
I was lucky at Coventry Stu, I had a dry one but I found it tough, heart rate hit 204 according to my Garmin😬 Interesting comment you made about injuries, I think you become paranoid and watch out for every little sensation which might mean it’s still there. Impressive run from Jenna💪
Yeh coventry isn't the easiest. Crowded and a long uphill on the back stretch. I think as runners we know our bodies far better than other non runners. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad 🙈
Completely agree about your comment 2 minutes in. Achilles niggle hung over me for ages and before and during I’m just hoping its better and waiting to start feeling it. I’ll be a bloody nightmare with maranoia in the spring!
Yep this achilles is doing my head in. It's just annoying. Hasn't stopped me from running yet but just can't push on. Gunna have a few weeks with no running now to see if I can get rid of it.
@@SwimBikeRunStu yep thats what I did. Just rest and foam roll/massage gun rather than stretch. Bloody frustrating! Couple of weeks rest should do the trick. Then you can crack on ready for GNR. Hope today went well
Easing back to it looks ok. I’m sure the run feel will quickly return for you. I’m taking a week off running but maintaining bike, conditioning and elliptical Training. In my head, I’ll be fresher and not lose run fitness in a week 🥴
Lost fitness and then runs low 8 min miles with a low hr haha always feels like a slog after any kind of break, awesome effort from you both again as always 👏
🤣 it's amazing that all the other cross training keeps me pretty fit . Having fresh running legs also helps from all the resting. 👌 Just need to get rid of this slight niggle now and we are golden again 👍
Yeh it's weird the anxiety on the return. Even though it's only been a few weeks 🙈 Distances are 1500mtr swim, 24 mile bike ride and a 10k run. So all out 😳

Glad it went well, for both of you. Onwards and upwards!
Cheers malc. Not out of the Woods yet but hopefully be able to run properly again soon 👌
Another super cool video. Well done Stu! Good luck with continuing your achilles comeback!
Thank you. Its so frustrating. Was on such a long streak of no issues. Hopefully we can get rid of it soon 🤞

Speedy recovery and nice run
Thank you. 🤞 we can start to try and get rid of it. So annoying 🙈
Fingers crossed for you, mate. Just take it easy and try a few achilies exercises
Yeh just gotta make sure I'm extra warmed up before I do anything. It is slowly easing so hopefully it will get better soon 🤞

Being able to cycle, swim and strength train I don't feel like i am loosing to much fitness. Good on you for taking a break. Hope it eases for you 👌

I think we all get those post niggle nerves mate. Apart from the 10k run, what distances are the other 2 elements in your event?

Hope this injury doesn't turn out to be your... Achilles heel. I'm so sorry, it was low hanging fruit and I'm tired.
I'm just surprised no one else came out with it 🤣🤣 One of my favourite songs is achilles heel by top loader 👌
