Hi. Awesome❤. If this is your first ducument I'm curious of your next. I also started to hike and filming. I made my first😊 so I do understand atmosphere and advanture like this. KEEP CREATING. I'll be watching😃
That's a great film of your Picos de Europa experience. Beautifully filmed and edited Michael. Congrats, you are a brave hiker man. Looking forward to following you on your future adventures. Happy trails, Mario
Jo! I have read your travel report. What a great adventure! Very intresting and informative report. Thanks for writing it! But man, after reading it, it feels to me like your video can only tell 20% of the whole story... Still amazing film of course! Keep on going! All the best!
Great video! Nice camera shots. Really enjoyed watching this. I'm a fan of Harmen Hoek and Yens Bastaiens, and this is right up there with those guys. Music selection is a bit poor - it's ok though. I think could be better (sorry bit vague, but Harmen has excellent music choice as a comparison!). I've just subscribed, hopefully you'll make some more! Thanks!
Hey Michael, fantastic film, thank you for sharing. Wonderful atmosphere. I'll be doing this circular trail in July this year, taking my tent so I'll be pretty flexible but I'd like to check: did you have any problems with availability in the refugio's? And were there proper meals to have in every refugio or are some of them closed for food? Thanks a lot, cheers!
Hi! The availability of the refugio's kind of depends on which one we are talking about. Like I had an empty Vegarredonda but a fully booked (for the whole season I thought) Collado Jermoso. Whatever the case, you always have the option to pitch your tent next to them. Regarding the food, pretty much all of them have fully coursed meals and power outlets to charge your batteries. Good luck with the trip, pretty exciting!
@@michaelbeckmann_ Wonderful thanks a lot. I pre-booked a couple of them in advance, I don't particularly like to but it seemed like the smart thing to do. My last question: what was the water situation like? Is it accessible every day (only) in refugio's or also somewhere along the way during hiking? Thanks a lot!
@@lotteakse if you bring a water filter you definitely have many options to fill up. Next to the refiguos you've got the towns and several streams along the track. Only during day 4 (in my video) I did have limit water options. It's that long hike up high where there is just one option along the track. On a warm day, definitely think about taking at least 2L with you. Also, bring enough cash with you for the refugios. They often only accept cash and I had a defificult time getting to an ATM. I had €200 on me, next time I would do at least €300!
I was planning on do it the first two weeks of may but I'am a bit afraid of the weather if not using the refugio. Did you book them in advance or was there enough space ?
It highly depends on the time of year and which Refugio you choose. Some can be booked for the entire summer almost while others have hardly anyone. As you can imagine, the easier it is to get there, the more chance of it being full :)
Don't go in May. You will find either a lot of snow or it will be melting down. It is dangerous because Picos are limestone and there are lots of rocks that were separated from the mountain with the ice formation and they fall down when it melts. You can literally be killed by a falling boulder. June is usually safer.
Thank You for letting the beauty of the place speak to the experience.
You filmed your journey so well! So much attention to details. Really great film!
Keep it up bro, you will grow bcoz your content is superb
