Yes they are, but they are filtered and edited. I would say the front double picture is photoshoped, in the videos he isn't even close to looking that good. However, I agree, Ramy did look much improved at the Arnold and deserved better.

Thats exactly how I see it. Andrew has zero thickness. His torso is impressive and his quads from the front are decent, aside from that he's too stringy and soft to be beating someone like Ramy.

Look, at the Mr. Olympia Ramy got 4, Samsun 6 and Jacked 8. Who was the most improved of the three for the Arnold? Ramy was, so his placing is really strange..
Well, it was quite obvious. I like Andrew, but just the pic at 4:40 him standing beside Ramy, half a head taller yet a whole head narrower, his quads are his strongest point from the front and they get mauled by Ramy. He just seems way bigger everywhere. Andrew clearly has the better shape, but looking at the shoulder width and waist Ramy actually beats him even when it comes to the classical X-shape, his waist is a bit wider but his shoulders are in a different dimension...and that's yet another strong point for Andrew too. So to me it seems like Andrew has similar strengths as Ramy (shoulder with, quads) to a far lesser degree paired up with a much nicer flow which is mostly his abs, quads, biceps and lat insertion in this case. He's also far rounder compared to Ramy, which seals the deal for the aesthetics game. If you look at the quality beneath, the muscle-maturity, the density, the conditioning and sheer size, Ramy has him beat in pretty much any pose from any side. Look at that RDB at 10:42, are these two even supposed to be competing in the same category? If I were in the audience and they both hit that pose, Andrew would just disappear in air, nobody is going to watch his physique over Ramy's. I think Ramy absolutely should have placed higher. It was ridiculous when was getting beaten by Dexter Jackson years ago and it's just as ridiculous seeing him lose to Andrew now. If aeshtetics is all that maters, hire a mainstream model or at most a fitness model. Aesthetics could mean 6'2" 175lbs for many people, anything above 200lbs shredded is already bigger than the normal range for contest-shape. Flex Wheeler, Vince Taylor and Kevin Levrone still pushed size throughout their careers to stay competitive with Dorian and Ronnie. Shawn Ray didn't and he was arguably the most aesthetic of the bunch, but he fell back in placings because he couldn't keep up with the others. I completely agree with that part of bodybuilding history. Fact of the matter is, Ramy outsizes and outconditions Andrew so much that his "aesthetics" are a pure result of just being smaller, if Ramy were Andrew Jacked's size pound for height adjusted he would be more aesthetic than he is now too. There's a discrepancy of at least 30lbs of leaner and beefier muscle, aesthetics mean nothing at that point. It's like being in better condition when getting dwarfed by 50lbs by a same height individual. Andrew is aesthetic, but not that aesthetic where he can beat anybody with such a size advantage, especially from the back and side where his physique isn't remotely as attractive as from the front.

Yes, Ramy was quite good, and yes, i think, he would have deserved the third place. But his thighs (and shoulders) are overdeveloped and he deserves minus-points for that. (Most probably it is not, but it looks like he has 10L of size-enhancement-oil in them.) Also his once slim waist has got very wide, and his hips, especially from behind, are simply too wide. So in my opinion he deserved third place (due to Jacked's lat), but his structure and aesthetics are so much inferior to Jacked's, that it does not need to have been a conspiracy.

judges seem to be super biased against ramy, dont think it was close between andrew and ramy. ramy was solid at every pose while dominating some. Andrew convincingly won 2 poses and rest were all either ramy or super close
Thats exactly how I see it. Andrew has zero thickness. His torso is impressive and his quads from the front are decent, aside from that he's too stringy and soft to be beating someone like Ramy.

Look, at the Mr. Olympia Ramy got 4, Samsun 6 and Jacked 8. Who was the most improved of the three for the Arnold? Ramy was, so his placing is really strange..
Well, it was quite obvious. I like Andrew, but just the pic at 4:40 him standing beside Ramy, half a head taller yet a whole head narrower, his quads are his strongest point from the front and they get mauled by Ramy. He just seems way bigger everywhere. Andrew clearly has the better shape, but looking at the shoulder width and waist Ramy actually beats him even when it comes to the classical X-shape, his waist is a bit wider but his shoulders are in a different dimension...and that's yet another strong point for Andrew too.
So to me it seems like Andrew has similar strengths as Ramy (shoulder with, quads) to a far lesser degree paired up with a much nicer flow which is mostly his abs, quads, biceps and lat insertion in this case. He's also far rounder compared to Ramy, which seals the deal for the aesthetics game. If you look at the quality beneath, the muscle-maturity, the density, the conditioning and sheer size, Ramy has him beat in pretty much any pose from any side. Look at that RDB at 10:42, are these two even supposed to be competing in the same category? If I were in the audience and they both hit that pose, Andrew would just disappear in air, nobody is going to watch his physique over Ramy's.
I think Ramy absolutely should have placed higher. It was ridiculous when was getting beaten by Dexter Jackson years ago and it's just as ridiculous seeing him lose to Andrew now. If aeshtetics is all that maters, hire a mainstream model or at most a fitness model. Aesthetics could mean 6'2" 175lbs for many people, anything above 200lbs shredded is already bigger than the normal range for contest-shape.
Flex Wheeler, Vince Taylor and Kevin Levrone still pushed size throughout their careers to stay competitive with Dorian and Ronnie. Shawn Ray didn't and he was arguably the most aesthetic of the bunch, but he fell back in placings because he couldn't keep up with the others. I completely agree with that part of bodybuilding history. Fact of the matter is, Ramy outsizes and outconditions Andrew so much that his "aesthetics" are a pure result of just being smaller, if Ramy were Andrew Jacked's size pound for height adjusted he would be more aesthetic than he is now too. There's a discrepancy of at least 30lbs of leaner and beefier muscle, aesthetics mean nothing at that point. It's like being in better condition when getting dwarfed by 50lbs by a same height individual. Andrew is aesthetic, but not that aesthetic where he can beat anybody with such a size advantage, especially from the back and side where his physique isn't remotely as attractive as from the front.
Andrew had no business being placed ahead of Ramy. Enough of this "but he's so aesthetic tho" bs he was flat and had little separation in his legs from the side and back. They've been doing Ramy dirty, like putting a bloated water buffalo version of Brandon Curry with no legs above him at the O, and little Derek whose only overly impressive shots are the back shots and the front double.

It wasn't just Andrew though. Ramy arguably should have won the whole show. Arguably it shouldn't have been about Samson and Nick. Yeah bodybuilding is a bit subjective but Ramy brought a more freaky impressive package than Nick, Ramys bdb at the Arnold was better than Nicks and that's his best shot.

Yes, Ramy was quite good, and yes, i think, he would have deserved the third place.
But his thighs (and shoulders) are overdeveloped and he deserves minus-points for that. (Most probably it is not, but it looks like he has 10L of size-enhancement-oil in them.)
Also his once slim waist has got very wide, and his hips, especially from behind, are simply too wide.
So in my opinion he deserved third place (due to Jacked's lat), but his structure and aesthetics are so much inferior to Jacked's, that it does not need to have been a conspiracy.
