I do not think there is an issue or a discussion, this IS the best Drive ever made! What is there it cannot do? It has made the rest of my pedals just toys in comparison. I now have to have a Cali76 they have spoiled me. If anyone criticizes this work of engineering magic they need my Les Paul up side their head for a little recalibration. This thing is bloody incredible! Thank you Origin, this is the grail pedal of all time.
At one point I was thinking...wow, that is Eric Clapton's "Cream" sound and you said exactly the same thing, so it's nice to know I wasn't imagining it! Very expensive but very nice
Every pedal maker out there gonna be rushing back to the drawing board to try and replicate this. Wouldn't be surprised to start seeing "ghost" knobs on gain pedals. This pedal is probably the best overdrive I've ever heard. It gets closer to the marshall grind and punch than any other in a box I've ever heard.
just got one and it sounds so ridiculously good and authentic to each setting. just blown away. knopfler and hendrix presets are my favorites so far but it all sounds perfect.
Thank you for this video I will have to get me one very soon love the way you play guitar Lance I just discovered you a few weeks ago but anyway I'm up here in Fort Worth Texas keep on doing what you're doing catch you later.
I have the pedal and figured I’d stop by. Always looking for new ways to set it up. You have some great tones, but keep panning back to a pedal with everything set at it noon. Would be nice to see your settings for the tone your demoing.
I have spunked all my dough on gear all my life..yes I have an original klon..but this really is exceptional I also have a tube tri ax blackbird that produces a decent dumble sound but this origin beats them on tone and energy ..I put this through a boss waza amp expander and it was phenomenal ..think I purchased a Carr mercury v after watching your reveiw lance ..good work mate..like you dont chuck in loads of other effects ..cheers
Jeez! Ordinal Klon! Wow dude! So good to hear you rate this pedal as well... I’ve just bought the Custom one used, but was kinda unsure as I’m going only based on UA-cam demos. Hope it works for me.
It is really hard to stop once you start. I have never heard a pedal that can do this. They don't say it, but it is truly an amp in a box.I also own the Cali76. Most people find it hard to get excited about a compressor. But this one is the best ever made. Huge Studio 1176 in a small pedal.
I'd like to see some more sculpting demo from this. The marshall thing is groovy but heavier than what I would use mostly. Lets hear something that would be used in a variety of contexts? I'd love to see more video!
Hi guys! nice demo and playing, i got instantly subscribed to the chanel because of this!!. I usually see this pedal on YT reviews played as a rock machine, but i'm after it because i want to use it as a "texturizer"... I own a Friedman JJ Jr. that I really like, but not so much the clean channel. I mean, yes it sounds good, but I would like it to sound a little bit more like a JTM just before the edge of breakup. More like a Hendrix thing, and then with the OD channel, using the valve side with low blend to open it up and make it growl even more... Am I mad or it can be truth?
Of course I want one, too. It’s fabulous. But it IS a bit overkill. I only need the valve rectifier side to be honest. Also, all those knobs and switches; what do they think, we’re keyboard players? Anyroad, I think I’ll end up with one of these unless they plan to split it in half (for half the price) and sell each section separately (please). Nice playing. Great demo.
Amazing demo, as always! Thanks! I'm curious....no pick? Do you have super low action and high pickups? Trying to fill in the mental gaps to do the math on the amazing tones...other than your hands, and touch, of course...thanks!
@@LanceKeltnerMusic Thanks Lance. Sounds great! I've got an RD custom incoming to go through my Carr and i use API preamps. What plugins did you use? Cheers
I am truly a big fan of yours Lance I noticed you don't use a pic not on this video anyway neither do I I get better tone without one besides I lost my middle three fingers so all I have is a little finger and a thumb so I just thumb pick but anyway love you videos and I love the way you play buddy can't wait for you to come to Fort Worth so I can go see you catch you later brother keep on picking
Hey there Lance got a question for you I can't seem to find out what's the difference between the custom Revival and just the regular Revival thanks brother
Hey, Lj! The main RevivalDRIVE model has three RE-AMP EQ presets - one for if you're running into a flat-response power amp, one for into a Fender-style amp, and one for running into a Marshall-style amp. With the CUSTOM, rather than having the filter for running into a Marshall-style amp, it lets you manipulate the shape of the RE-AMP EQ filter and change which frequencies are affected by the BRI-CAP CUT and HI-SHELF EQ.
Origin Effects okay thanks dude I really appreciate it and helped a lot I play over 2 50 watt Peavey classic amps the older types going to try to get me one of these in a week or so or month pre-order them anyway anyway have a great week brother
YO Lance, it is kind of hard to tell on this video, How is the low end chug on the pedal ?? Thanks, Dave P.S. I still remember you being such a gracious host inviting me to your house to try a Carol-Ann (Joe's JB100). Now , three of the coolest musician I know live in Austin, You, Matt Smith , & Mike(TEX) Milligan.
MrDavemiley It has great bottom. More like an amp sound than a pedal. I have a new amp coming soon that’s gonna do what that CA amp did but lots better
Well now you have me curious about that amp. Joe did not keep his JB100 , he gave it away on a "Giveaway" contest. I am back to just strait up Tube amps and pedals . Matchless and a Fender Deluxe. All channel switching amps I have tried just fell short of usable for me. Still considering a dual amp set up.
By far one of the best overdrive sounds ever! If this thing only would have midi, or at least an in and output for both sides (like the Wampler dual fusion) so you can use it with a pedalswitcher as two seperate pedals, then it would be The Best overdrive pedal ever!
I can see why some people might be reluctant to get the first version no matter how good it is, simply because if a V2 comes out some time later, the first version could be worthless in the second hand market. Shame on anyone that looks down on people making decisions based on the resale value. It would be nice if pedal makers would play on this seriously by making it possible to send in your first version for a revamp.
I just sent Origin Effects an email begging them to add an external channel switching function to this pedal so it could be done with an switching system. YES, that would make this pedal 100% Perfect !
I have been using Switching systems for many years. This is the way i do things and the way thousands of guitarist operate now days. It would a very logical thing for them to do. Now would you please contact Origin and beg them to do the same as I did ? PLEASE ! The more that ask, better chance they will do it !

Your's is the Best Demo of this pedal. Thanks for not coloring the sound with other effects.
I love the guy in the room who just keeps seeing wow.. great playing by the way!

agree! and I've owned tons of Marshalls (JTM, JCM800, '59 superlead, etc)
Wow... amazing tones from that pedal. Thanks Lance. It’s like the ultimate all in one overdrive.
Fucking hell, this thing sounds great.
Great video Lance, love this pedal.
just got one and it sounds so ridiculously good and authentic to each setting. just blown away. knopfler and hendrix presets are my favorites so far but it all sounds perfect.
Thanks Lance for Another Amazing video, you made it sound HUGE 😍😍🤗🤗🎸🎸
..Beautiful!...please give us a longer video, Subbed! 👏🏻🙂🎼
A fine example of Ghost notes= Lesley West/ Mountain Mississippi Queen . I hear that in this pedal !

Very impressive......great demo
Best demo of this pedal.
Yes it is. The mfr demo is pretty weak, this makes it totally lust-worthy.

I would love to hear that Bad Boy through a Reeves Space Cowboy 50 ! Daum Lance ! . Best OD pedal demo I have heard in a while. Gotta get one !
Finally got one and it is amazing
Best example of the Ghost feature on UA-cam 👌🏻
You had to do it, you’ll have to keep it . . . Mine’s on its way to me, to join my SlideRig CD 👌🏻👌🏻

Damn you Origin!
Great sounding, and more importantly informative demo. Lance, what kind of strap do you have on that Whitfill?
This pup has a very pronounced attack - cool!

Sounds fantastic Lance. You mentioned a Deluxe Reverb RI with better tubes. What tubes would you recommend?
Dude!
So... a stompbox that has its own footswitch? ... :D
Sounds crazy, tho!
I knew the tone knob on the guitar was rolled off haha
Can you test it with an awesome pre-CBS Strat, and the Twin amp you got?
FANTASTIC , HOW MUCH IN AMERICA!
Nuts
KERRRRRANG!
How about playing it through your RKL 57? I have one and am considering a Revival Drive to go with it...
Where the hell is the mic man? ahaha amazing sound and killer guitar playing btw
Lance, please make another video where you cover more of this pedal!
YES , I hope he does !
Yes, Though ,I already ordered one and it just got shipped, i would like to see another demo from Lance on this pedal.
What kind of speakers do you have in that twin, Lance???? THANK YOU
Amazing demo, as always! Thanks! I'm curious....no pick? Do you have super low action and high pickups? Trying to fill in the mental gaps to do the math on the amazing tones...other than your hands, and touch, of course...thanks!
Jonathan Burton I haven’t used a pick in years
lancekeltner What kinda bridge pickup is that ? I like the cream but only DiMarzio makes them unless ordering out of America in told
That setting 3:31sounded about like a Soldano I thought.
Would you mind sharing the pickup(s) used and whether you have modern or 50’s wiring? Pedal sounds enormous.
Curbludgeon
Stock Whitfill tele bridge
Stephens design Jimmy Page humbuckers
Hey Lance! Should I sell my Van Weelden "Royal Overdrive" to buy this? Thanks!
Amazing sounding demo. New to your channel. Would love to know how it was recorded and what was added in post. Cheers!
Thanks
A bit of verb and delay were added.
API pre.

Sounds like a mosfet pedal to me.
Does Billy Gibbons know about this??
