im a year late but i would like to say that this video isn't very concise and bloated. it's a gacha game. let me know the meta/strategies, essential units, what to farm first, and overall avoid beginner's mistakes to get started immediately with little resistance/confusion.
The meta changed drastically after 3 years. For returning players that Olivia & Lycanroc were the Co-op meta back then, you'll be surprised by the changes lmao. The foe Sync Move was nasty back then since it removes all of your buffs, good thing it was nerfed now and it only damages your whole team. The game back then focuses more on co-op, be it on events and EX gear hunting. The EX gear hunting were a pain because it needs a specific unit to beat it, and we only have a few options lmao. And holy moly, I remembered the VERY FIRST Giovanni & Mewtwo event, that event gave me so much PSTD, the co-op grinding is so hard, the currency for exchanging rewards is so insane. This made many players quit the game because of the flawed system. DeNA realized this and the game focused now on single player content instead. It's been 3 years and I'm still playing this game. If you are the player who played the game on 2019-2020 and just returned, you will have a good time playing this game. The gacha is still one of the most generous out there, 7-12% of 5* units is no joke, and people are still complaining about the rates when other gacha games exist like Genshin Impact, FGO and etc. So yeah, goodluck to the returnees and new players!
Is it better to starover with a new acc or just return using our old account? The thing is some mobile gacha game is more beneficial on new players compared to old one like yugioh duel links. Like ain't way you gonna use vanilla axe raider which is an UR without effects and only 1.7k beatstick So what do you think about pokemon master? Does it fall into that category?

There is so much stuff to help new players now. I remember waiting for months to get all the legendary pairs that are now given out for free, with grids included. And I certainly did not get blue or the ss Kantrio for free. There was a time when oak was the best psychic nuker, Olivia the best rock, and barely any fairy pairs to speak of. Ghost was probably was the weakest type as no zones were present yet. Barely anyone had any Alola and Galar pairs, and full-force battles were still the norm. Bp pairs, event pairs, and lodge pairs did not exist, and rain teams had not been normalized. There were no masterfairs or shiny Pokémon, outside of egg events. No scoutable 3star of 4star had grids; not even all the scoutable 5stars had grids. There were a bunch of other things I probably haven’t mentioned, but nevertheless it’s weird to have seen the game change so much.

I pulled Red on my 5th pull and Cynthia on my 6th pull and with Red from a pity pull, I now have all three anniversary units maxed out at 3/5 Ex'ed, lmao I'm so happy man and I can't wait for Holiday Leon to come back. 🙏🏽💯
This game really started to get fun this year, I mean some people would find it fun before that but eventually it was getting kinda redundant. The release of Zones, Legendary Gauntlet, now Trainer lodge and new buddy moves increased the possibilities and interest for multiple units over only one set of units (*cough* Red Charizard *cough*)
Another tip that I don’t believe Poce mentioned is that every time you’re in the Pokémon Centre, make sure you talk to all trainers (not the NPCs) as they may give you some items like Sync Orbs/Skip Tickets
You can tell which character in the pkmn center gives out items by looking at the icon above their head. If it's an ellipses (...) its just talking, but if it's a magnifying glass then they give a gift
Damn I wish they give us new op events or something to do, hopefully the EX battles will be updated for the new gears, I think it will be nice if we try the enemy sync debuff during an event to test the new meta units and actually try different ones to win.

I have a specific question. I started a week ago and got ash/Pikachu. Why does he do so much damage? I have Steven/deoxys, blue/blastoise, someone with an entei and some other 5*s but they all hit between 1-2k on average. Everyone is built the exact same (lv80-90) with barely any of their sync boards or whatever else built. Ash reliably hits for 5k every attack no matter what type he's up against, and thunderbolt will regularly hit for 20k+. Why? I can't even see anything that's causing it. It's kind of annoying cos it feels like everyone else is useless team filler
Well Ash has all his damage multipliers on his base kit. His passives boost his damage and his B Thunderbolt is just that powerful to begin with, as long as you use it when your move gauge is full. Most other units need some stuff from their sync grid to hit hard. You also need to max the stats of your sync pairs so they can do that much damage. For example a special attacking unit wants to raise his Special Attack by six stages and his critical hit rate by three stages. Ash can do that just by clicking his trainer move, so he is very self sufficient
Make sure when building a team for your other damage dealers, they have access to max crit & either physical or special attack stat depending on what they need, someone like deoxys may need no offensive support, or full offensive support depending on which form you use for him. For example attack Steven buffs his sp. attack & crit fully, so now you just have to set psychic terrain and you can do a lot of damage. Make sure you sync as much as you can. I’m sure you know support ex sync buffs are really good. Deoxys also has an innate sync multiplier where the more raised stats he has, the more damage he does, so if you use attack form, it’s better to have a support that buffs defensive stats and speed. I have him 1/5 and he does top tier damage for me. Are you reading the moves and what they may need in order to get max output?
James, please read the descriptions of the moves you’re using. And also buff your attackers’ crit rate, to make their attacks stronger. And by the way, Blue Blastoise is not meant for damage, and neither is Entei, they’re supports, meant to take hits, not do damage.

Should I save up (toward the end of the month) for Cynthia or maxie?

You're not actually giving any advice or telling new players what to do, you are just going through all the menus of the game and describing them. That's not very helpful to new players who need guidance on what to do.

Depending on what brand device you have. Apple, you need to find a site where you can buy gift cards from a different country, example, Germany and then you set a separate apple account to germany and you load with the gift card money on the account. You do need to switch when you want to spend the money but that is a quite easy way I would say
