Might be worth mentioning that bodyguard level 1 enables you to survive a homing shot.
+Sergio Xisto also the barrage and impact grenade
+Tom Rundell
Exactly, on the bright side though it does teach you be stay close to cover whenever possible.
Sergio Xisto I can't stand when people use it in close quarters. You usually get the kill but there's nothing you can do and you eat a rocket
It does
Really
+Sergio Xisto :O does it really???
sheesh! Those traits almost cost a small loan of a million dollars.
actually we need 2 million dollars. Dad hasnt bought milk yet.
+RoofTopCamper -Pyrocynical #Themammaisfake
Actually they are easy to get, your just bad at the game. I can get over 3000 credits in a few games on cargo or droid run. I can get 20k on double score weekends... So they are really easy to get.
Great coverage Mr West. Videos are looking polished and wonderful.
I knew about the trait system and for the last few levels (currently at level 19 and climbing) I still have much to learn, but this was a very informational video on the trait system that will allow for a lot of interesting gaming experiences on the battle front. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Westie! Thanks for explaining and elaborating on the traits. Great video
thank you so much this was really informative. you've helped me make up my mind on which ones I'll use
Great video Westie. I'm loving the game. So addicted. I hope you're enjoying as much as I am!
Great video, very informative.
Bodyguard is the best imo for sure. I have survived sooo many grenades and homing shots when i had bodyguard. It also reduces blaster damage by 30% on level 3. Not that you ever really reach level 3 but still...
+Ex0rz bodyguard is for me also the best. people forget that they often die by explosion or homigshot. i realy dominate the game at level 3 so many times i had over 50 kills and bodyguard is the key for that.
Or maybe,if your smart don't go in tight spots to get blown up by grenades and use 3rd person to look at how close the honing shot in and u can jump and dodge it or get behind cover
King Cobra Argon Da2 Tight spots? You gotta play objectives you know? People throw grenades near the objectives and you dont have room to dodge those. Also bodyguard allows you to survive a homing shot. I bet you are one of the assholes that just camp behind trying to snipe people for a best possible k/d ratio.
+Ex0rz It's called flanking and I use se 14c (if that's what it's called) just try Se-14c, explosive shot, jetpack and bowcaster flank around the objective and you get a good K/D and get the win for your team trust me my team win loss ratio is 80 and my average kills are close to 40.
great video as always!
Very informative, thank you very much now I understand better how the traits system works.
Awesome video dude. Thanks for the ingo
The video was really helpful thanks for the interduction:)
The amount of infantry turrets I’ve gotten from the bounty trait is amazing! The bounty is definitely my favourite trait.
Helpfull video Westie,thx
There all very interesting. And another great battlefront video.
very helpful well done mine fav before watching this was scout
Thanks for your help, on this (traits ) cards. had no idea what they were for. lol
I was mainly a survivalist trait user since I'm more of an aggressive fighter on the field. I tried out scout (just because so many people are using it online and I just want to know if it's any better) but found myself going back to survivalist because it suits my playing style better.
Yeah I'll be using scout on my favorite modes, Cargo and Drop pod!
Thanks for the help bro
I don't really find the mini-map too useful in this game. Being able to peak around corners in third person and seeing their blasters so easily makes it less important to me than it is in BF4 for example.
and the information it gives is not a lot, so try to be stealthy is not that important.
+Althios Indeed, generally I spot enemies trough blaster fire and them being obvious white trooper on Endor -_-
+Althios Are you kidding me? Using it to flank people is the best. also it allows you to see people long before they spot you because they are sprinting when not in combat because why wouldn't you? Thats what makes Scout so good. I can sprint to the flank and no one sees me. Then I can sprint to the flank and open up a can of whoop ass without anybody seeing me on the map due to level 2. The minimap is VERY helpful and paired with Scan Pulse is a great way to see the battlefield
+Althios but you can't peek backwards in 3rd person view
Trust me it's extremely useful. Especially when they try to sneak in from behind.
Westie, what do you use to edit your videos? I love them!
Westie I love your videos and you put out great content but seriously... the homing shot? UGH
+Leon Topcu Yeah horrible weapon.
+Philip Nilsson It's easy to dodge.
Joël Heinzelmann I just jump to the side whenever it comes after me, it works every time lel.
Philip Nilsson Yeah, its a shitty weapon. But if you play on hoth you can die from it.
Joël Heinzelmann Maybe if you're stuck in the Ice Caves and there is no way to go. Or in the bunker trails.
I love the Scout trait because I usually do better as a sniper, and being able to sprint and shoot without showing up on the scanner can be a lifesaver, and is still useful if I decide to go infantry
Great video, very helpful. I really want to get the Scout card but I want to know is it always 'active' eg on when you have it or do u have to manually activate it after it runs out everytime? What I mean is it like the Personal Shield whereas it only lasts a few seconds? Thanks.
didnt know this existed until now. will be saving up for the scout trait.
Nice video man
I have found scout to be the best, especially on medium and small maps that have less players than walker assault. It makes a huge difference being prepared for an approaching enemy and getting off the first 2 shots before they know what's happening. Excellent for improving K/D ratio.
my friends all thank you for this information! :)
Survivalist is the opposite of close quarters. Its good for long or medium ranged combat in cover. Where you can get out of cover kill someone and get in and regenerate quickly
Tier 3 sprees with dl 44 in smaller game modes is what it's for
Nekkid Yeti Zou can also use it for that but zou can use basicallz everz kit for that
Whz are all of zour 'z' 'z'?
Let me rephrase that.
Why are all of your 'y', 'z'?
Huh huh huh huh huh Accidentally switched to english keyboard layout for my german keyboard.
I see.
Thank you!
I've recently started using bodyguard in drop-zone, and I've been able to cap pods and stay alive.
My recommendation is use bodyguard for drop-zone, walker assault, and supremacy.
Scout is very useful If you wanna get the drop on enemy players in blast, along with the pulse scan.
WOW finally a good video with good information can u try and make more but dont hurt yourself
Thx 4 the help
cheers for the info. Saved me from trying to figure it all out lol
Have you seen the bounty hunter card setup with the bow caster and jump pack? You jump up, get a bow caster kill, the cards reset, then you do it again
I think the traits are still massively underused in the game. I have the scout card and if I go on a streak I can often cause masses of problems to the opposite team. Yet I rarely hit problems of others using this trait card
Me too
Bodyguard lvl 3 or Survivalist lvl 3 can be deadly when paired up with a bacta bomb level III (3)
Came here to find out if the ranks of perks go up per game or are permanent unlocks after earning X kills, very interesting to hear they are per life and makes total sense to encourage streaks! Great video, I'm glad we are in agreement Scout is the best.
+Andy Young Glad you got some useful info from the video :D Scout is definitely the best right now, but I have a feeling DICE will nerf it :/
ranks of the traits don't go up by x number of kills. what happens is at the start of the game you are at lvl 1. if you get 3 kills you rank up to lvl 2 and another 3 to reach lvl 3. if you die at lvl 3, you derank to lvl 2.
Thank you.😘😘😘
I agree scout n bounty hunter trait are great. scout helps allot in flanking (if opponent ain't using scan pulse). bounty hunter level 3 is where it's at because it cools down star cards as well
dude how are u doing an interview and playing so well. lol. good stuff!
yeah im consistantly getting 15-20 killstreaks with the scout trait. Just op.
I've been using survivalist exclusively since I unlocked it, but I've always kept scout in mind. now that I'm level 50 and I have all the skins I want unlocked I suppose it's time to try scout. I do fancy the CQC in battlefront so I'm curious to see if it increases effectiveness.
what I do with the bounty hunter trait is when I reach lvl 3 I have the bow caster with the jump pack and personal shield with star cards and I can just endlessly use them after each kill with using the battle pickups every chance I get making my self at the top of the score bored
can I ask, was your trailer done on the PC, xbox or PS4 ???? noticed you didn't really half to fine tune aim and wondering if the consoles have aim assist???
I use BodyGuard and I Love it
speaking of traits, what do u think your own strengths and weaknesses are in online shooters?
So from what I understand, Bounty Hunter is the most powerful at level 3 with being able to reset star cards on EVERY kill (unless I understood that wrong) allowing some serious spamming of impact grenades, homing shot, bowcaster, jump pack, etc. BUT it requires a 6 kill streak and Scout has powerful effects on its own at levels 1 & 2. With how hard it is to survive long in this game, I think Bounty Hunter is best left to the better players.
I feel that if you are a higher rank the bountyhunter trait is amazing. I can join a blast match in the middle with my dl-44 and bountyhunter trait and finish at the top of the leaderboard.
+Westie I found a ester egg on battlefield hardline today, I have it on my channel!
If i am using the scout trait for my character and i am in hero vs villians and i am a hero will i still show up on the mini map?
Westie. I actually don't understand the system.. Do I need to headshot people to level up your traits? Or is it just the Sharpshooter? And how do you level them up? It just random level up for me
I'm more of a run and gun person so I use Scout. My favorite loadout is Jetpack, Pulse Cannon, Scout, and Personal Shield.
can you get hero pickups with bounty hunter or vehicle drops?
Thanks for the vid westie. I prefer scout.
Strangely, I don't see many people using the Scout trait on PC. I'm not the best player, but I've never been surprised by someone sneaking up (alone) behind me without seeing a red cone first.
I think the way the minimap works in Battlefront somewhat devalues the scout trait. Instead of pinpointing your position the minimap highlights sectors, showing brighter with proximity. Unless you are well away from other team mates the chances are that some one else in your team is sprinting or shooting in the same minimap sector as yourself thus rendering your scout trait redundant.
Scout all the way for me for the same exact reasons Weste stated. I have lived long enough to see myself last in battle without anyone noticing im killing them from behind.
I think the Scout trait is the one I use the most, with Bounty Hunter being in a few of my loadouts...
Thanks. I did not know it existed.
Is the number of kills needed to advance tiers the same for each trait? What is it?
On my game bounty hunter at lvl 2 says get power up with EACH kill, and after watching X factor use it that seems correct.
Informative. I don't normally find myself at Seven THOUSAND Credits, but my first choice was Bounty Hunter. although Scout, has begun to raise my interest, as my blaster overheats quite often, and I;m certain I am NOT the ONLY one to have this problem, let's be honest, here. I am still rather new, and am learning to fight, and have been doing some aim training.. Not surprisingly, this, nor any other trait is not going to be doing me much good.... for NOW.
Seven thousand credits is not too bad considering Scout Trooper skin and stuff like that are 17,000.
I'm level 60 and I definitely recommend the Survivalist Trait.
on console you can role by crouching and holding left or right and pressing b or circle twice
Heres OP: Bowcaster, Jump Pack, Personal Shield, and Bounty Hunter. Why? Jump Pack Up and use the bowcaster because it has an explosive shot. If you have level 3 Bounty hunter since it refreshes star cars after every kill you can keep on doing this.
scout is my favorite too
What weapon are you using in the video
do one on the new besrker trait
Funny, I kept using the Survivalist trait in large game modes ever since I got it.
Are you able to obtain power ups as a Hero?
bounty hunter trait level 3 with jump pack and bow caster earned me a 56 kill streak... jumping up and down with the bow caster's explosive shot which gives me a kill each time. Not good at making vids but I got a vid showing what its like
Since bounty hunter got nerfed. Is scout then the best trait?
what do you need to do to level up scout?
the scout trait is wrong on here.
1. no blaster on scanner
2. no sprinting on scanner
3. scramble scanners near you.
Zack Corley no it isn't. The traits just all got changed since the last update.
Gotcha.
@@Sianic12 No it hasnt
TheWarriorArts yes it has
bodyguard is my favorite, i love not dying from homing shots and grenades
How do you level up traits? And can they reset?
Does the traits only work for a short time?
Westie, I want to know your opinion on the speeder bikes. Do you think they are underpwered and maybe need to spawn more often?
+Måns Andersson Well you can road kill ANYONE, including heros. Saw a full health Boba Fett run over and dropped like a rock.
SU_ Shadow wow, really? patch needed?
Lol not really, nobody uses the thing and fewer can drive it, and if you in the woods and not out on the open riverbed almost impossible to get run over.
yeah true, but I think they should make them a bigger part of the game. Always when I see someone come and drive past me I get this awesome star wars feeling
+Måns Andersson I only use the speeder bikes to flank around the enemy faster. I ride one right past them on the sides of the map, then ditch it when behind them and come up from behind on foot.
Either Bounty Hunter (which I use) or scout is the best. Seems like a ton of players use scout though.
I don't know if you said but with traits to you automatically start on level 1 or do you need to earn that?
+Marc Ferguson I believe you have to earn it.
What is the outro song?
Whos watching this in december 2016
I hate the mini map in this game, the brighter red it gets the closer an enemy is suppose to be to you, am I wrong? when its bright red for me I look around and the closest enemy is always at least 30 feet away from me,
+TheSSVNormandy
You're wrong, it's brighter when the guy is at the same level, it gets darker if the guy is above or under you. Well it's theory because in practice I have the impression that the smallest height difference makes it dark
either way, its a crappy radar system, I need to know distance, not if someone is above or below me,
+TheBouboule1 it seems to be heroes that are always bright red and soldiers are almost* always dark red (at least on HvsV).
*They have been bright red at times but I don't know why
which weapon does he uses in this video?
yes
Good vid
Personally I love survivalist. If I run into two guys at level three and I can kill one I can get 50% of my health then I have a better chance at killing the other. It's personal preference really but I tend to switch between the scout and the survivalist.
So what does it mean in the bounty hunter trait when it says at level 3 each kill resets all cooldowns? Does that refer to weapon heat or does it refer to Star Cards?
+Zman Games1080p Star Cards
343Films then isn't it better than the headshot trait...
Zman Games1080p Yes. Much better
I love bounty hunter when I put it on I can easily surprise heroes and villains
Can you use traits in single player?
Can you get traits in every game mode or only specific ones?
+DanzarHD You unlock traits, and can use them anywhere anytime.
I have it and you get to level 3 in no time it's OP
How many players actually look at the mini map for finding players? There are too many players to avoid lighting up a section red for general location. I find Scout to be not too exciting, because I doubt being disguised is that much of an advantage. Am I wrong?
+RedRocket415 lol i know i look at the map and so do my friends because people sometimes forget plus it is easier to flank and melee from behind with the map
Alright, it's starting to come in handy, but the pulse scan is so much more effective. It does take a slot, though.
RedRocket415 i don't use the pulse scan in that slot unless i'm in a close corners combat like cargo plus you tend to use it more and run out
+Danago Boss +Guffherdy I use it on the Endor map in Walker Assault. Especially at the first activation station, either as rebel or trooper. Tightly packed map. No air vehicles, so people are on the ground.
outro music?
For bounty hunter do you get a chance at a hero powerup?
Nope but level 3 resets star cards. So easy to chain kills with blaster and bowcaster and it is a ton of fun.
With bounty hunter I found a spot where I was somewhat hidden. With the bounty hunter perk I got a 56 killstreak
Why did u not go for that hero pick up
