We went to Bordighera last September and fell in love with it. Remains untouched by mass tourism. The views of the Mediterranean are stunning and it is so charming and authentic. Feels like we are in the mid 80s. Has such flair great food and tranquility. We are going back and considering even retirement there. ❤

there is a place called carne that is further up in a place called pigna and it’s as nice and there’s a lot less people but it is about half an hour more of a drive but rocchetta is very very packed

Bordighera is lovely but has very little in way of public beach. The next two towns (going towards France) - Vallecrosia and Camporosso - have way more public beaches.

I have been to Bordighera many times and one of the issues - which prompted us to explore the neighbouring towns - was lack of sufficient public beaches. I know you can hire sun lounges and deck chairs - but usually the spaces with these facilities belong to coffee shops, restaurants or hotels and are quiet small. Secondly, the neighbouring towns may not be as picturesque but are less crowded and close enough so that you can walk to Bordighera along the promenade. They also have very good restaurants/coffee shops and facilities on the beach. The Corallo in Vallecrosia is a great seafood restaurant. I always get my gelato from Coco's in Bordighera.

Yes, I discovered the town 12 years ago and go back regularly. Especially like the Via Roma shops n restaurants. And the tennis club. Good find.

Bordighera beats anywhere on the French Riviera and its not even the mildest
