Hi Lihn,I use the Gemini light green for double sided dies. Jennifer McGuire has a video 8/22/21.Fixing&avoiding warped plates. I use with carefirst too. Works great. I bought them for the larger/II but have not used yet as I can use the Jr plates in that one also. Thank you for testing the plates for us. Looking forward to more of your findings.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the tips. 💗 I'm just hoping there's a magical combination that has the right amount of pressure that doesn't warp plates but still cuts through everything in one pass. LOL. :)
What sandwich combo do you use? The all CraftFirst sandwich seemed pretty good until it started warping the plastic shim. The Gemini/CraftFirst combo sandwich is way too much pressure. It's already warping the plate.
@@LVHandcrafted I’ll have to pull out my Gemini Jr and use it. It’s been so long, I’ve forgotten exactly which plates I use. I just know Gemini’s recommended one is way too much pressure. I’ll try to remember to try it this afternoon after work, and I’ll let you know.
I hardly ever use my gemini or the junior, but when i do i don't use the sandwich they say. I use two cutting plates and the green double sided cutting plates, works great. I also have my mats taped together, so in effect I only have two plates to deal with, if that makes sense? X
Oh interesting! So you are swapping a green double-sided cutting plate in place of the magnet mat and the plastic shims? I should try that. Because the CraftFirst cutting plate is warping already w/ the gemini/CraftFirst combo sandwich I'm using now. Thank you for the tip!

Interesting to see how it works for you ❤ thanks for sharing and happy crafting Hugs xx
Many thanks, Joan! The Gemini/CraftFirst combo is not holding up too well... the plate is already starting to warp!
@@LVHandcrafted Oh no, that's not good 😐 its going to be a long month 😉😄 happy crafting, sweet friend ❤️
I love my CraftFirst plates. I also never use the recommended sandwich; it is too thick with either brand of the plates.

@@LVHandcrafted yes, I don't use either the plastic shim or the magnet mat. X
@@sandrashaw8343 Cool! I'm trying this... I don't have the gemini green plates but I think CF sent them to me.
@@LVHandcrafted let me know how it goes. X
I use magnetic vent covers cut to fit instead of the plastic shim. Less expensive and works for me.
