Disclaimer: most of this was filmed right after I came back from Seattle, hence the tired look and occasional inability to say words correctly. Jetlag is pretty terrible. Thanks to this video, I also learned (the hard way) why make-up is very necessary on TV; you can be right out of the shower and have the cleanest face ever, and you would still look like the greasiest dork on Earth if you don't have powder or foundation.
Also, yeah, most of this is discussion with only me on camera - in hindsight, not the best or most interesting way to frame things... sorry about that!

PSA: *You can skip all the story related discussion,* where we basically talked about how to fit everything into one minute, by going straight to 46:00.
Also, this year, the whole video has subtitles! I shoved a painstakingly-crafted huge transcript (a whopping 63k characters) into UA-cam's caption tool, and it auto-synced all of it. Technology is great.

hello sir how did you made the background cards?
They were drawn by Alexandra Kern
I didnt even realize that Lanaya was sitting there on the stone when the explosion happens
Anyways, I really liked how u made an in-depth explanation on what you've done and what could've been improved for other people to take note when making a video in the future. You're a great guy and of course, a marvellous video creator. Keep doing what you're doing you magnificient fuck.
Could you explain how you chroma keyed CM in on her, "Hey! Sven!" shot in more depth ( 58:19 )? I feel like I'm not properly utilizing the _alpha.pngs when I should be, because my results rarely come out as clean as CM did in that shot. They're great for stills, but they seem to do an awful job at masking motion blur for me. You mentioned using much fewer progressive refinement samples and I was curious as to what the reasoning was.
As I mentioned in the video, she had to be rendered separately - when a frame takes too long to render, some procedural elements, including clothing bones, can spazz out. So the easiest course of action is to render CM separately... and get her back in, in post, with chroma keying.
I had to use fewer progressive refinement samples to get the frame render time down as much as possible.
I don't use the _alpha PNGs at all. I used AE keylight as well. I think it only looks like she came out "clean" because everything is super blue or orange, which contrasts well enough with green; and then there's my own color grading on top of the whole shot.
When the camera is panning to her and she's very blurred, I actually animated a linear blur effect in AE because there weren't enough motion blur samples. It fades away shortly before she lands.
"Layana is mine".
Almost as bad as "Luke Skywater".
Curious look behind the screen.)
bro , i want ask , if i make sfm video , we need make video behind the scene too ?
Where did you get "skydome" model? I cant find that in my SFM. Sorry to bother...
I made it myself! I have published its source files here source.maxofs2d.net/?dir=models%2Fdota_sky_dome
@@MaxLebled The website is unavailable now, where could I get "skydome" model? Or maybe I should make it myself, need some tutorial.

Hello and welcome to a new DotA 2 report. 0:14

To be fair, "the vision" although visually impressive, barely managed to properly tell the story that was going on. Overall, I am not surprised that you won. You deserve the win.
no one has ever done that in the history of dota*!
