I had a mustang road race car with side exhaust that was an absolute crowd pleaser since it sent all the 7200 rpm exhaust noise straight at the spectators. One of my fellow racers asked me if I wore ear plugs while racing and I said "no" he replied "well you should!" I tried wearing ear plugs and I could actually hear what the car was doing better instead of the roar of the exhaust droning out everything
What a drive mate, these gt3 cars seem to inspire so much confidence you’re on the throttle so early and brake late it must be rewarding to be so good and be able to extract so much performance from such a capable machine
These are my favorite gt3 cars! Thanks for sharing what its like to be in the cockpit of one in anger. Cant wait to see what the replacement model is like
Could you share some insight on hoe you got where you are mate? Also, how hard is it to steer gt3 cars? Heard they have power steering with around 5-8nm..
@@BennieRayJames Gday! I started in karts as a hobby and eventually it got more serious. I was lucky to have some family friends help us make the step up to race racing and from there just made connections and did a good job with every opportunity. As for steering, GT3 cars aren’t too difficult arm strength wise once they’re moving compared with some other high downforce sportscars. Most makes are slightly different too
Not trying to nitpick! Could you mount your camera slightly higher, so the track is more visible? Other than that this video is amazing quality all around. The audio is the best, you can hear both the engine and the trans very clearly
Can't tell from cockpit view but it's seems like these gt cars don't stay much in the legal lines. Is that a thing in gt racing where they don't give out penalties for track limits
There is no universal “legal line” in racing. GT has track limit rules, they’re just different compared to F1 (which I assume you’re coming from, given your definition of a track limit). It changes track to track, but generally the curb is considered part of the track. So if you have a wheel on the curb, you’re within the limit.
Track limits in majority of FIA series usually, but not always, states you must keep 1 (or 2) tire within the "track limit", which could be a kerb, or a white line on the edge of the track. Hope that clears it up! This event did run track limits btw, there were corner marshall's looking at the exit of specific corners and some cameras set up so no one abused track limits. Quite a few cars had times deleted over the weekend!
I swear the engine sounds 100 times more violent from inside the cockpit.
True. Heard it few weeks back.

this pov, the angle, the sound, is just perfection 🤌
Give those tie rod ends a little twist so the steering wheel isn’t crooked
Haha. Yep! Car found the wall the day before.. was the first time I drove it since - quick turn around!

Cheers! Yeah they're awesome cars

Unreal Scotty ❤️❤️
Absolutely flying man, car sounds good too 🎉
Appreciate it!!
Great pace!Epic view!
Many thanks!
Wow Man! great POV and great driving 😁👍
Thanks! 👍
Scotttt the boss!
insane mate
Amazing video. I have a question: do GT3 cars transmit ABS activation through steering wheel feedback? Or is it only noticeable in the pedals?
Can we get more details on the cam setup? Mount, model and positioning. Thanks
GoPro 11 mini, normal mount just below the visor so cam is almost eye level
what's up with the outside rear view mirror having 2 different parts ?
shorter gear ratios with that much torque must be harder to drive right? definitely need to see more of your gt3 onboard tho very nice
Depends on the corner and rev range. It’s definitely a lot more fan than the standard ratios! I’ll see what I can do about more 😁
When you participate in time attack events is it not possible to remove any restrictions that your GT car has, to achieve better lap times?
It is possible. We didn't go to the maximum. Unfortunately it is not as simple as just 'removing a restrictor'. Maybe next year :)
What’s the track like because we are planning to send our gt car over there and see what it’s like any tips for driving here
awesome track, pretty smooth for the most parts. some small bumps in braking zones into t1 and end of back straight. Great facility
wouldnt big restrictors mean less power
@@matthewgwynne7874 bigger holes in the restrictor I guess? 😁 as opposed to more restriction
What time man?

@@ScottAndrewsUA-camAmazing. Thanks for the insight too mate. Best of luck
bro eatin dem curbs lol
Not the wheel being uncentered 😭
😅

Thanks! Yeah will keep it in mind for next time. I can try higher but it may hit the top roll bar. We'll see
А че руль то криво, капец бесит когда так
The car had some contact with the other driver in it the day before, we didn't realize the steering was off... Yes it's a little annoying haha
