It's scary to know that we run the risk of being arrested without doing anything wrong.

Why is this new to you? this has been going on for decades. You need to start learning what these cops are doing to innocent people. Don't matter color age male female. They don't care. Educate yourself before this happens to you.

Where you been for the last few decades? Police do what they please. They have huge public support and a huge union and qualified immunity.

Great video! It’s so frustrating how you can still get arrested for a DUI even when you’re completely sober. It’s so important to know how to handle these situations because they can happen to anyone. Thanks for breaking it down and helping people protect themselves!

You never answer questions and you don't do the road side test. People need to learn their rights before this happens to you or a loved one. You don't have to do a roadside test.

The most important thing is, like you said, to hire a really good lawyer who can help you tackle an issue of this magnitude.

NEVER, NEVER should you take the Roadside Sobriety Test. Take the breath test and the blood test.

At this point the question is, should you consent to Field sobriety tests or refuse them in favor of blood test or breathalyzer, as these tests are mostly used to collect evidence to establish probable cause to make an arrest.

Easy to win an award when you arrest innocent people.

They should change the law, prohibiting an arrest for DUI unless you have failed a breathalyzer and or preliminary drug screening. Either of these tests can be done at the police station or on site getting results back almost immediately. If they are not positive, then they should not be able to arrest on site. They can get a warrant at that point and draw blood, and submit it for testing and then get an arrest later if there are indeed drugs. Make the state wait for the results not their victims.

M.A.D.D. is a prime example of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". What was supposed to be a sympathetic effort to keep roads safe has become an incentive for crooked cops.

Just like the host of this video gives the cops credit for just not knowing who's sober, you're giving madd too much credit. You never know what the underlying intentions are... but malice plays a bigger role than we think

Dude is 75 and couldn’t pass their test.
Half of Florida couldn’t pass that test just due to age.
    Indicators are purely speculative.

Most people in their 30's would fail the same tests too

Those cops don’t need additional training. They need to be disciplined for knowingly arresting people for DUI who are sober. And the sheriff’s department needs to cover all of the costs incurred by the victims of those cops who are intentionally arresting people who are sober for DUI.

My type 1 diabetic was wrongfully arrested, charge and put in jail for DUI due to a low blood sugar incident. That was in June. We are still waiting on the blood test.

You never addressed whether you should refuse the Field Sobriety Test (at least in Florida) and what the consequences of refusal are (in Florida). Also, you should address the huge difference between refusing the FST vs refusing the Blood Alcohol Test (in Florida).

    Scott
As long as it officers get rewards for DUI arrests and Federal grants for DUI some will cross the line.
Some officers have been shown on camera I smell the overwhelming odor of Alcohol on stops of people who do not even drink. They alway will put glassy red eyes.
As long as the departments back officer who lie to get arrests it's going to get worse. I have heard chiefs say not looking at reporters eyes that just because nothing showed up didn't mean there was an intoxicant that wasn't detectable.
The state of TN may be stretching these out these cases to get more fees. Until false arrest are made to give back those fees and somehow have negative consequences I just don't think it will get better but worse.
Same thing with civil asset forfeiture at stops and as you get on an airplane. It's getting worse.
What's needed is some legislation to curb practices against unfair methods our increasingly militarized police forces to swing the balance back to innocent until proven guilty. Because now with all due respect if you are charged even if proven innocent or your money is proven innocent you're paying pretty much the same penalties as a guilty person.
Furthermore if Trump gets elected and gives total immunity to the police you might as well quit practicing as he doesn't care if innocents are caught up and has said it publicly. ( not sure Harris is much better)

HOLD UP HOLD UP HOLD UP!!!!!!!!!! What do you mean officers are trained. None of them go by the manual on the SFST's I know the manual cover to cover. Lots of reasons they shouldn't have conducted that BS test with him. What's it say about people 65 or older? How about the road conditions? I can go on. I've only seen a few idiot cops do this right.
