Baritone is really interesting vocal type because it has a lot of subtype like baryton-Martin baritone (light baritone), lyric baritone, Kavalierbariton, Verdi baritone, dramatic baritone, baryton-noble baritone, and the bass-baritone. We know Lyane Stein is a light lyric baritone ( combination) don’t know if one subtype he is, don’t know what type of baritone is Cesar de la Rosa, we know that Geoff is a bass- baritone ( also one subtype of baritone)

This is my full vocal Range.
But my tessitura is C#2-G3
If I had to choose one word to describe this it would be “balanced”. Nothing overshadows anything else because it is all so good. Everyone nails their parts; Caesar and Eli on top, J being the heart at the center, Layne’s vocals and insane vocal percussion, and Geoff holding down the bass line.
All of that, they are so impeccable for what they do and the low of the lowest notes in the underworld by Geoff and the sounds / fx are on point.

Layne you sneaky devil....I was of course expecting an awesome drum/perc arrangement to to honor this classic, and I got that, but.....LAYNE! You sang solo! And I was amazed at how it fit the song perfectly! For the love of banana-splits, son, please SING MORE!!! We demand it! Anyone else agree?

This song is completely amazing. Valhalla Calling stunned me with its epicness, but this song has completely left me stunned from its beauty. From low to high, or in Voiceplay terms, Geoff to Eli, this song checks every box. Cesar beautifully rocks it, Eli goes to the heavens and destroys it, J. None absolutely slays the lead, Layne proves to us that he swallowed a drum kit as a child, and Geoff does Geoff. He goes to the core of the earth and finds the tectonic plates and shakes them. Amazing song guys! You never cease to amaze me❤
oh that Eil Jacobson, he is definitely shine in this for his vocal type is tenor 2 or low tenor even for his the most accurate rock n’roll perching high notes so clean and sometimes with rustic and grit but mostly so clean and strong that we didn’t recognize his tambour of his voice.

This is it!”… then VoicePlay happened onto my recommendation timeline… Having been heavily involved in Barbershop Chorus in my younger years, I know a little bit about quality harmony. I can honestly say that I have NEVER heard better, tighter harmony EVER! So glad I met your group “by (Divine) accident”! 😊❤

I'd guess acapella is usually considered not cool because it's usually less demanding songs performed by much less talented people. This group is obviously at a whole other level and we're all here for it!!
To sing a cappella you have to able find pitch and hold it. You have nothing to guide you… or keep you there but your ear and voice. These fellas have mastered it. God given talent in my opinion 😊
WOW! Why? Why did it take me so long, to push play? Because... I have to tell you, I was really afraid! I love the song so much, I love to listen to Phil Collins.

When I was a teen, to cover a song meant, to produce a cheap music tape, yes, a TAPE, record the same song, the same way but with an unknown performer and believe me, for the most part the outcome was absolutely horrible!
Sadly, it took me a long time, to discover the treasures, youtube has to provide. To discover Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci.
But now I am here and I have to go and listen to ALL VP songs, yes, songs, because the word COVER can´t do this justice at all! Thank You Voiceplay, to play so beautifully with your voices! Please, don´t ever stop!

I’m not familiar with the guys in the group. It says featuring J. None but they all took a turn. Amazing how they each sang basically the same notes butt then switched to tenor, baritone orbassas needed for backing vocals. Very well done
In case you still don't know, the guy on the right with the long hair is named Geoff, the bald guy next to him is Eli (pronounced Ellie), J.None is in the middle, the guy with the with the poofy hair is Ceasar, and the guy on the far left is Layne

@@Debs_Badger Thanks for that! The two cars companies are very close cousins under the GM banner, so the GTO (LeMans was a package) was the Chevelle equivalent. I didn't notice any branding, so I defaulted to Chevy. I miss Pontiac.... SO much sometimes. But my Fiat violates my family's "no MOPAR" rules. :D :D :D

My favorite Phil Collins song of all time. So many remakes that never do it justice and I cringe whenever I hear any of them. This is the first remake I have ever liked. You guys nailed it! I got goose bumps at all the right moments just like with Phil. I’ve probably been singing this and listening to this song for way longer than you’ve been a group. I wore out my first cassette tape and still have my second one that I bought when I was 11. I’m 49 now (actually this week on 16 Aug). So, in 38 years, to say you’re the first remake I want in my music library is, in my opinion, really saying something for your musical talents. Thank you for NOT being another disappointment ❤️
