I realized today that I have been listening to this for almost 10 years and I really appreciate it and get a lot out of it. It helps me calm myself when I have severe anxiety!
Best video ever in short 10min, relaxing, perfect guided meditation. Been listening to this for over a year. Always feels different or new even the video.
I am a law student and have my most difficult exam tomorrow, reviewing all of the material this evening stressed me out (things that don't bother me when the sun is up suddenly become very stressful at night). I found this video, went through the exercise and it worked amazingly. I can't thank you enough for posting this.
It took me awhile to learn to empty head & not let outside noises effect me. A very wise person told me that I should acknowledge the thought or noise & then let it go. Then return to concentrating on your breathing. You do this as many times as needed until one day you can go a whole minute with an empty mind, then you find yourself being able to go for five minutes and you keep building to your goal. The Tao of Natural Breathing is a good read. Don't give up trying!! Peace.Love.Understanding.
Very good. This particular breathing technique is calming and restores balance. You can also view the updated version here, ua-cam.com/video/kfdRpbuRo2c/v-deo.html Best wishes to you in cultivating a beautiful inner environment for yourself.
I remember the days when 2009 was '6 years ago' and not '15 years ago'. Good old days, grade 4 good times nothing to worry about, now in University with everything to worry about 😢💔
"rocking the nervous system, back & forth, to a calm & balanced state" - I love that notion. I find this guided technique really informative & relaxing & I listen to it regularly. Its so calming & I thank you for that. x
This video really helped my family during irritable and stressful times. This helps you get away from your busy life, and start to feel human again. I highly reccomend this to anyone who can spare 10 minutes to just calm yourself.
A good way i found to increase my concentration on breathing and not on other thoughts is to start counting the number of breaths i take, then to forget what breath i'm on by purely concentrating on the breath. it's actually a lot harder to stop your mind from automatically counting and to put all of your concentration and focus on the moment
Quit smoking, I did and I feel better than ever, my anxiety has gotten so much better and I can work out and actually BREATHE! Remember the more you smoke the duller your skin looks, the harder it is to breathe, your teeth, lungs, etc etc. Think about your poor lungs, it doesn't deserve it and neither do you, love yourself babe, I didn't for a very long time.
I love this meditation. Your soothing voice and 5 second count is perfect. I am so grateful to the universe for bringing you into my life. ThankQ, ThankQ, ThankQ, you are a blessing.
Yes doing these one after the other is good. With practice you will access deeper relaxation in a few minutes. People find relaxation of the muscles to be the easiest. Then relaxation of the breathing requires a little more attention. And finally when it comes to relaxation of the mind, you could spend a lifetime working on this skill. I practice all three at the same time without the audio guided meditation playing.
absolutely amazing i suffer from asthma and at times i get stressed out and panick at school when i get a tight chest or struggle to breathe this is my first session and i am going to be doing this 10 minutes everyday and the comments i have read say that this works thankyou so much because i have been looking for a video that will help me x
This was a awesome video the first time I ever experience my first relaxation I started to cry never felt so much bliss in my life woke up next morning with just 5hrs of sleep and felt so good like I I had sleep 10 hrs felt so calm all morning
I used this last night and today as I'm donating blood and I'm afraid of needles! When I did it today it calmed my nerves and I feel so much better thanks for this!
I have tension headaches and I just tried this at the first feeling of tightness in my neck. I am feeling much more relaxed and the pain is not as strong as it was before. thank you.
This made me feel very sleepy. I found my head moving on its own, lost in your voice and the music in the back. My anxiety in my chest feels much lighter now, and my breathing is even and well. Thank you for this, this made me feel better.
This helps calm my pulse when my anxiety makes it beat too fast. Thank you, I have been looking for relief for months and have found it through this meditation.
I have a breathing problem for about a week now, this video helped me so much I thought I had Asma. it is amazing my chest is not making noises anymore. thank you so so much
Hi, thank you for making this video. I've been very stressed out for an extended period. On top of that, I get to handle some abuse issues from my past. I went to Brain Integration Therapy today, and "this" was the perfect addition to my healing practice. Your style of leading is easy and I let even more stuff go. I'll be doing this every evening before sleep and even in the day when I need to recenter. Thank you so much. It really helped.
Great video, I've done a lot of autogenics so really into meditation and relaxation. This is one of the best guided videos I've come across, really helps me when Im suffering from my chronic pains
Thank you so much. I'm slightly asthmatic, so have issues with breathing and this is the first thing I've come across that has sorted this out. Truly grateful you have just given me the key to improving the quality of my life. Thank you so so much 💛😊X
Thank you for your comment. You are the second person recently to tell me how this meditation helps relieve asthma symptoms. I've been considering a guided meditation specifically for people suffering from asthma. What do you think?
That would be wonderful. My problem with doing meditation is that as soon as I'm conscious of breathing it can feel like hard work. You have taught be how to really slow my breathing down. Also it really helped when you guided the in and out breath with 5 seconds in between. I have to say that was the best bit for me I felt I needed you to go on for longer guiding me when to breath , and was a bit worried that I couldn't keep that beautiful rhythm going on my own. So would really appreciate it if you could make that bit last longer. You have a very calming voice. Definitely the best I've heard o. UA-cam. So thanks again for your generosity. Loads of love and good wishes to you Darla 💛😊X
Quiet Mind Cafe Also should mention that the other thing that really works is your attention to detail. That really helped me be with everything just as it is, as you describe how everything works and fits together . Hope that makes sense. 💛😊X
Thank you so very much for this meditation and explaining some of what the sympathetic nervous system is about and how it operates in our bodies. When I first tried your meditation, I was very well pleased. It is now part of my everyday ritual for my well being. Thanks again.
Congratulations on developing your meditation practice. I've heard some doctors claim that 95% of all illnesses can be cared for through balance in the autonomic nervous system.
Thank You for Quiet Mind Cafe & your soothing voice, you have gotten me through so much for several years 💚 Grateful I decided to TU, as I just read about your other site🙏🏻💚
Yes -- this breathing technique is very good at putting you to sleep. My first advice would be, if you're sleepy take a nap. A nap is very good for your health and healing. Also, you could change your posture; sit more upright in a straight back chair. You can try this breathing combined with a slow walking meditation. Just a few ideas.
This came up as a suggestion from yt in the middle of my afternoon and what a delightful surprise it was. I feel so much better now. I really did need a meaningful pause. Thank you so much for posting this!
its been quite a while since ive used this video...why did i stop!? this helps me soooo much... i've been so stressed and tense. even my stomach has been tense so i havnt been breathing properly...this is now my go-to video for breathing. thank you =)
Talking of gratitude. I am so grateful for this outstanding meditation which I will practise daily. Your soothing voice and slow gentle breathing really relaxed me. Often I find that guided breathing meditations are too fast for me..this was perfect
I practice all 3 as well, including prayer, but just wondered as far as this series of 3 goes, what your suggestion was. Thank you for your quick replies. These are very helpful to me and I have been using them on and off for nearly 2 years. Usually at the end of my yoga practice or before bed. I find I have a lot more vivid dreams that I remember after doing the first one.
i suffer from anxiety n stress also asma ' i get tence n it affects my breathing then i get head tension n pains in my head easily rattled struggle to relax ' horribble body aches n pains n sensation " this breathing excercise meditaion helps ' god bless you 4 help me and other suffers
I'm glad you found this helpful. The fear response (fight or flight response) is the source of most illness and suffering in the body. Many doctors are saying that now. This breathing and relaxation techniques should give you some comfort and relief.
Quiet Mind Cafe it does give me a break from my struggle ' with anxiety n strees , which has crippled me with fear n tension and affects me daily ' the struggle continues , but this is reliveing and soothing to help my breath n become calmer n relax ' bleesing n thanks jamie robinson yorkshire uk 😮☝
Thanks very much for this- I was having to deal with some stressful memories this morning, taking the time to do this really helped me to leave enough tension behind to get on with the day. :)
This totally helped a lot! I was worried it'd be a clever scare video, but it help my breathing so much! Once I realized it wasn't gonna make scary sound!
And your voice is very soothing as well by the way. I don't know anything about this stuff, but I think the sound and tone has a lot to do with it. Either way, THANK YOU!
This is my most popular Video - it's so effective. In the meantime I have an update for this breathing meditation. Here it is, ua-cam.com/video/kfdRpbuRo2c/v-deo.html I have a breathing meditation in mind for sleep.
I would say this depends upon the purpose. For deep relaxation it would be good to keep your attention on the breath. If your attention wanders off the breath then perhaps the breathing pattern would change and the relaxation would be lacking. However, focusing on the breath initially and then shifting your focus to your inner body be a good way to start a deep meditation or inner journey.
@ScottGaul Stress does cause your brain to shut down and go into "fight or flight" mode. When you're frightened you can't think properly. The Sympathetic Breathing guided meditation can help. And yes, relaxation does improve overall health. You may also want to think of the spirit in which the music was written and as it was intended to be played. There is no fear -- the music flows creatively perhaps like a river. When you are completely in the music there is no fear there.
I cannot stop throwing up and my anxiety has built up so much its not helping at all. Using this to calm down... My stomach hurts so much though Im afraid not even this relaxing video can save me!
The meditations here are best practiced when feeling more calm. Think of these are daily exercises that will help reduce or skip the next anxiety episode. Next time you feel an anxiety episode coming on try this very simple exercise. I'd like to know how it works for you. Next time anxiety becomes overpowering as if you were a fish swimming in its ocean change the mental framework; be the outside observer of the anxiety. Take the anxiety and all the images and sensations and see it as an object within you. It has a size and shape and location. Now your conscious awareness can observe the anxiety. Take that anxiety and all its images and sensations and hold it out in front of you - you can do that. You'll find this is all possible when you become the Awair Observer. You can look at it for a while if you like but soon send it out into the yard somewhere and let it sink deep down into the Earth. Watch how the Earth digests it and consumes it and absorbs it to where it disappears into the elements of the Earth. Now the cycle is broken and your Consciousness is free.
+Scott Gaul To be fair Im a rather lax type of person. I rarely stress out or suffer from anxiety - everyone says I'll never die of stress! I don't find dealing with stress or anxiety difficult at all, because, in the end, what all does it give? Nothing at all! So why worry about such a trivial thing as that? I totally understand its easier said than done, but for me personally its exceptionally easy and always has been. I just don't understand the logic behind it, thats all
+Scott Gaul I failed to add that it doesn't mean I never stress - that'd be inhuman to never experience stress or anxiety. In this particular case its been 6 or 7 days that I haven't been able to keep food down and the doctor keeps telling me to wait it out. I'm not in the least impressed. I am also feeling anxiety towards my health at the moment, sometimes worse than other times. I feel like in this particular scenario I really should worry though ^^
Maé Canto maybe you are not alone and the place is not quite, trust me I tryed this with noise on other rooms and it does make you feel worse because you are trying to relax and it can become more frustrating. another thing is that you need to believe this will help. it truly helps keep trying you'll get better everyday. good luck to you I know anxiety trust me but it is not stronger than you.
I realized today that I have been listening to this for almost 10 years and I really appreciate it and get a lot out of it. It helps me calm myself when I have severe anxiety!

I come back to this again and again because it works. Thanks for sharing your peaceful guided meditations.
come back bro
Therapists and mental health teams should refer patients to this - one of the best meditations for stress/anxiety/grounding out there!
Was on the verge of a massive panic attack and I found this, I feel so at peace. First time in a long time, thanks.
Breathing Mediation, A Guide To Meditation, has save my life from severe anxiety attacks!

This isn't meditation, this is preaching.
