I totally agree with the creek crossing. My son and I started hunting a small public spot and all the stands we saw are on the parking lot side of the creek. Seems like most people don’t want to put in the effort to cross the creek. We marked a spot on OnX to cross and head to the back of the property. Tons of deer signs and big cedar thicket beds. I killed a good size doe back there this year after 30 minutes in the saddle. Can’t wait for September!

Nice video and great tips especially on color coding your waypoints! I had great success this year finally crossing the creek, although I have to admit it was difficult navigating moss-covered, frozen rocks! All of my gear, backpack, and camera stuff, but done carefully it's not that difficult and can be done safely! Most of our public land hunts require us to park in designated areas here in CT, especially the lottery reservoir hunts. We've gotten around this a bit by teaming up with another hunter and dropping one off at another location that doesn't have a parking lot. Then we take turns hunting that area but park both cars in the main lot. Thanks for sharing.
