I actually have the lite, just got it actually. It’s been amazing since I don’t really have other people to play with and I’m never in one spot. Not to mention I love watching tv while I’m playing (yes, I’m Weird... I know). Also since I’ve never had an actual switch, I don’t know what it’s like to have the detachable joycons and what not (ok now I sound like my grandma😂) I got the lite because I really missed the portable era, being someone who had all of the game boys and the last thing I had being a 2ds (I think??) (😑 someone stole it though but we won’t go there) So anyway in closing, if you don’t plan to play multiplayer or any types of just dance games or even if you travel ALOT maybe bus rides to and from school and stuff like that I’d recommend the switch lite because it’s more portable and lightweight.. and compared to my cousin’s regular switch it feels less “breakable “ (honestly I don’t know if that last bit even made sense)
I’m planning on buying the Nintendo lite for when I go to uni (even though we already have a Nintendo switch) it just seems more portable and easy to use. the joycons felt weird when I first tried them but they’re really fun to use 😊
Even though I already have a switch, this is one of the best videos I've seen on people who are interested in one and even people like me who already own one. Simple, straight forward and full of information, thank you!
I have never played anything past SNES…my life got very difficult in the 90s….I have been playing my old Atari, NES and SNES all these years…but controllers are wearing down, tvs are not as compatible…so I’ve decided after 30 years to upgrade. I’ve missed out on a lot but I can still play my classic games which is Important to me and do some much needed catch up. Thank you for this review it was a HUGE help!
Thank you, bought one today and there was info here that id like to have know before (no regret on my decision tonight anyway!) I have an XB1X and a decent PC but I travel for work so I decided this would be easier to take away. Also Nintendo has a lot of "Fun & Easy Games" that I hope might get my partner into Gaming. Cheers for the vid
This was actually really very helpful thank you, I've always had playstations and are just now looking to branch out for some variety and this video has made up my mind to finally get a switch.... all the best and respect all the way from the uk and once again thank you for the info
Having the choice between a switch and switch lite at this point is almost non existent. The regular is completely sold out and the lite is hardly available, so act fast
I managed to score a Switch V2 bundle thanks to a friend helping keep an eye out online. Within maybe an hour of scoring myself the bundle, GameSlop's entire inventory had sold out! Probably mostly to scumbag hoarders that will try to price gouge bored and switch-yearning gamers, but still. The stock disappears fast!
I just bought a Switch a few days ago. It's my first console purchase since the PS3 came out (First Nintendo one too!). The video was very helpful, thanks for helping me get started.
Nintendo Switch is the best console for me so far. I've played so many consoles/hand helds, but nothing feels home like the switch. What's so great about it is its portability, you can bring it to almost everywhere and play
I don't have a Switch, only watched this to see if it's worth it to buy this console. I kinda want it for 1. Nintendo exclusives (including older ones, which apparently are available with the online subscription), 2. because you can play docked on a TV or mobile (for when I have to go in another room or maybe play on a plane trip) 3. PCs and nex-gen consoles are either way above their MSPR or out of stock
I got a switch it's so worth it. :) However, I did spend more money on Switch accessory than Switch itself. Such as Memory card, Screen protector, Carrying case, Protector case, Ground Loop Noise Isolator, USB C cable, ethernet port, extra Joycon, and pro controllers. And top of that games. Still love my switch.
I hope Nintendo remakes the Harvest Moon games for the switch.. I always loved playing those back in the day. They remind me a lot of Animal Crossing but with more in depth story lines
In July (at least in Germany) there will be a remake from a harvest moon game - friends of mineraltown. But the Original harvest moon ist now known as story of seasons. I loved to play this game when I was a child, so I am looking forward to it really badly. ❤
You guys should definitely start off with Touhou Genso Wanderer (the reloaded one) and Super Meat Boy including Castle Crashers. These are superb indie games and they're also kinda kid friendly just like the good old flash games on Newgrounds.
This is crazy i was looking at finally buying me Switch i was looking at Systems / Games / Accessories etc.... i fire up UA-cam and i run into this video. Lol very helpful.
It would be great to have a new version of this video, but mentioning each genre and a few of the game that fit there. Jrpg: xeno 1, 2, three houses, octopath, etc. Shooter: splatoon, doom And with an emphasis on exclusives like Astral Chain
Good briefing of what the console is what it offers. I, personally, was expecting something like "if you're buying this for a kid between 4 and 8, these are the games they might like" or "if you haven't had a nintendo console since the SNES or N64, there are new DKC and Mario games", or "if you love RPGs, then these are the main ones in the console". And "if you're buying this for your two kids, buy another controller so the original joycons dont wear out so quickly". But great video still
DVN MND I’m having the opposite reaction. I’m coming from Xbox and so far I prefer every single aspect of that console’s controller, except that I like that my pro controller has a blue light (I just like blue lol)
Here are thing i think a needed when getting a switch (or switch lite) 1. Screen protector (because the dock can scratch your screen) 2. Carrying case ( so your switch doesn't get all broken on the go) 3. a micro SD card 64GB or less 4. a game. Any Zelda or Mario game is good but animal crossing is also one to consider and that's it the rest can be bought later, Happy gaming :)
Hi, I got a switch last week! I decided to save for the normal one because I have big hands even though I don't play on other other mode than handheld.
I hope they release all the Neptunia games on the Switch. Played them on PC and vita, would love to play them again on the Switch. Those are great handheld games. It's a stretch, but I hope the original trilogy gets released on PS3 get ported to other systems.

Nintendo: "No problem. Here's your Switch Ultra at the low price of $1499 for the base model, you may also purchase the Switch Ultra+ which has a battery life of 10 hours for the low price of only $1999!"
just get ps4
I'm.getting a ps5.on my birthday.when it.comes out.next year and I just pre ordered a IPhone 12 pro max
It has a internet browser just put the dns like this: 45.55.146.155
That would be AWESOME, but like, I think your asking too much for a handheld.
Fun fact if u go into themes and select black rather than white ur battery goes down slightly slower when ur in the home screen I also recommend turning on the ability to view ur battery percentage and not buying a screen protector as a good quality case is enough
Also the newer model doesn’t heat up as much
I already own a switch. Still, I'd say this covers a good amount. it feels like something of a "beginners guide to the Nintendo Switch"

Note that you CAN transfer your downloaded games from one sd card to switch internal memory, and vice versa. So you can more easily upsize to a bigger SD card this way
Got one for Christmas. Botw explorer edition just came in the mail today. I'll see you guys next summer because I'll be in hyrule for a few months 😊😊😊
I know that feeling man I bought that game with the Switch and I wasn't able to put it down until I basically 100% the game.
Himmel I never have that feeling
you back?
😂 lmao
And
Love the pacing of these videos, not so fast it sounds like you've had too much caffeine like so many others and not too slow you feel like your time is being wasted. I can take it all in and understand what I heard/watched by the end of it, even when I'm doing something else, good job! 👍
I got one for my kids for christmas. Cant wait for them to open it!
how old are they?
Were they happy?
I wish you were my dad
Thank you for the advice. I’m thinking about buying the lite
I also have the lite, and I thinks it's perfect for my use, because I don't need it to be docked, I prefer handheld anyways. Also it's cheaper

I just got mine a few days ago so this video is perfect timing for me!
Plutiee has a Switch everyone 👀
plutia congrats, i got mine a couple weeks ago, i love it.
I'm gonna to get one soon
Even though I already have a switch, this is one of the best videos I've seen on people who are interested in one and even people like me who already own one.
Simple, straight forward and full of information, thank you!
I live in the US and I got mine for $299 from Amazon last week, it's my first time using one but I knew how to work it surprisingly.
I just bought one for my family for Christmas. This was very helpful. Thanks!
You mean for yourself.
Thank you, bought one today and there was info here that id like to have know before (no regret on my decision tonight anyway!)
I have an XB1X and a decent PC but I travel for work so I decided this would be easier to take away.
Also Nintendo has a lot of "Fun & Easy Games" that I hope might get my partner into Gaming.
Cheers for the vid
I do not do anything I do I have right to get done with my job interview with the job I have to work on a schedule
I like the joycon and the grip that came in the box. I'm not picky. Some people complain about everything. Probably because it's Nintendo.
Where to start: apparently Peach Ball

@Mr.PizzaGamerBoi i got mine last Thursday
My mom said she'll get me one once they're back in stock but I don't know....
This was actually really very helpful thank you, I've always had playstations and are just now looking to branch out for some variety and this video has made up my mind to finally get a switch.... all the best and respect all the way from the uk and once again thank you for the info
I bought one 3 weeks ago this is very helpful. Good timing for this before peak holiday shopping.
Getting mine tomorrow 😀. Would've been nice today since it's my birthday but better late than never.
Step one: Get enough money to get one 😞
Step 2:try to Handel starving to death
Edwin Rendon step 3: Sell ur house
Step 4: sell your organs
Brownie animates step 4: sell the rest of your body to the Dark Web
@@zzider8005 Step 5:become an android(get rid of apple)
I would recommend Tales of Vesperia Remaster. It is my favorite on the system so far.
What's it about?
what crunchy said
I don't have a Switch, only watched this to see if it's worth it to buy this console.
However, I did spend more money on Switch accessory than Switch itself.
Such as Memory card, Screen protector, Carrying case, Protector case, Ground Loop Noise Isolator, USB C cable, ethernet port, extra Joycon, and pro controllers.
And top of that games.
Still love my switch.
Davilas Vas yeah it's expensive as heck
I hope Nintendo remakes the Harvest Moon games for the switch.. I always loved playing those back in the day. They remind me a lot of Animal Crossing but with more in depth story lines
In July (at least in Germany) there will be a remake from a harvest moon game - friends of mineraltown. But the Original harvest moon ist now known as story of seasons.
I loved to play this game when I was a child, so I am looking forward to it really badly. ❤
Try playing stardew valley, its fun game that closed to harvest moon.. iam harvest moon fan, but very pleased playing stardew valey on switch 😊
You guys should definitely start off with Touhou Genso Wanderer (the reloaded one) and Super Meat Boy including Castle Crashers. These are superb indie games and they're also kinda kid friendly just like the good old flash games on Newgrounds.
This was so helpful I’m getting one for Christmas
This is crazy i was looking at finally buying me Switch i was looking at Systems / Games / Accessories etc.... i fire up UA-cam and i run into this video. Lol very helpful.
Thanks for the info! Bout to buy a switch! I’m so old and out of touch with video games these days! Thanks for filling me in!
How u like it?
It would be great to have a new version of this video, but mentioning each genre and a few of the game that fit there.
Jrpg: xeno 1, 2, three houses, octopath, etc.
Shooter: splatoon, doom
And with an emphasis on exclusives like Astral Chain
Good briefing of what the console is what it offers. I, personally, was expecting something like "if you're buying this for a kid between 4 and 8, these are the games they might like" or "if you haven't had a nintendo console since the SNES or N64, there are new DKC and Mario games", or "if you love RPGs, then these are the main ones in the console".
And "if you're buying this for your two kids, buy another controller so the original joycons dont wear out so quickly". But great video still
12:19 "if your used to voice chat like on the ps4 and xbox 3"
True XD
YES FINALLY A CANADIAN NINTENDO CHANNEL, I HATE HAVING TO LOOK UP A CURRENCY CONVERTER WHEN I WANT SOMETHING ON A VIDEO
I finally ordered one today!! Im so excited it will be arriving tomorrow!! 🥰😍 thanks for the video!!
I have had a switch for 3 years now. Why am I watching this 😂
Lmao I just got me a pro controller and I can't stop noticing how great it feels in my hands everytime I pick it up
DVN MND I’m having the opposite reaction. I’m coming from Xbox and so far I prefer every single aspect of that console’s controller, except that I like that my pro controller has a blue light (I just like blue lol)
DVN MND i agree, i play all platforms and the switch pro controller is easily the most comfortable in my hands.
Are you sure you are talking about a video game controller here?
I bought the animal crossing edition switch and I’m now just watching every video about Nintendo to prepare while I wait for its arrival lol
Here are thing i think a needed when getting a switch (or switch lite)
1. Screen protector (because the dock can scratch your screen)
2. Carrying case ( so your switch doesn't get all broken on the go)
3. a micro SD card 64GB or less
4. a game. Any Zelda or Mario game is good
but animal crossing is also one to consider
and that's it the rest can be bought later, Happy gaming :)
i’ve had a switch for nearly 3 years, why am i watching this
nice video though
Got mine last week love this great tips :)
@@DustyJones1997BGCL awesome, have fun with it!!

Well thanks for the video, ran across you by accident I was thinking about getting one and I was just looking at some reviews, so this is kind of like what you were expecting people like me to find so thank you
